Edit: sorry didn't see the link. Go with the latest one in the link that exad presented.
It depends on which version you have. G appps are different for 4.2.2 and 4.1.2. Even though they both say jb. Are you on 10 or 10.1?

Just download the goo.im apk online and install it. It will detect your rom and download the proper Gapps for you.

installing 4.2 gapps

hey had a question about trying to install the 4.2 gapps. im currently running King Kang rom with the kernel that came with it (not 5) and TWRP. after i downloaded the .zip and went to install from recovery it instantly fails every time that i try it. am i missing a step somewhere, or do i need to be running kernel 5 or something?
Could be a bad download. Make sure signature check is off

Download cm10 again ans reflash it, cleanly. Wipe system/cache/dalvik. Then try and flash over gapps. But I'd do another wipe on cache/delvik before you flash it. Just trying to keep the flashing as clean as possible. It also might be a problem with the version of gapps you're using. Do you have the latest?

[Q] Cleanroom 5.1 - Installing Clean Kernel

I have been using cleanrom 5.1 on my htc one xl for a week now and I love it. I am thinking about installing cleankernel now to get even better battery life.
How do I install cleankernel? There is a download link on the official thread but no instructions on how to install it. I think I saw somewhere on xda before an app for installing kernels, just can't remember what it was now.
Flash the zip via recovery same way you would flash a rom then clear cache & davlik...

Ok sorry!! I was flashed my Samsung galaxy s plus GB 2.3.6 (Official firmware) successful change to CM9 and CM10, at that moment I also installed the GAPPS (google play, gmail and so on) before that I wipe the cache and wipe all my data (factory reset) after reboot my phone. It can't appear the GAPPS on my phone. So I guess was something wrong my step... So anyone can help guide me flash the rom?? In fact I follow the step...

In fact no error found. The issue is after flashed my rom and I can't see my GAPPS (Google Play, gmail)..

Flash the gapps package once more. And if it dosent appear even after that, then check whether the apps are frozen.
Sent via Tapatalk® for Android.
Download the appropriate and latest Gapps for your phone and flash them through CWM the same way you flashed the ROM!

Don't double post threads u already have one in general that you're being helped in
Flash GAPPS through CWM. If it still doesn't work you might have borked something while installing the ROM.
Ensure you are using the correct gApps for the ROM you are using (CM9 and CM10 use different gApps)
Also, not all gApps packages will install all of the apps (Mine only install Search and Play Store) so you may have to download any additional appers you require yourself
I've come across this same problem with my own ROM of choice for my Optimus P509 (which I'm pretending is an Optimus One P500 since support was dropped for the P509) but it sounds to me like there is not enough storage space on your system partition. You can fix this in one of two ways that I know of: freeing up space by deleting some of the .apk packages on the ROM's system partition before flashing OR by deleting some of the .apk packages on the your gapps package.
I use 7-Zip File Manager to edit the .zip file of the ROM on my laptop to delete some of the useless apps that I never use to utilize the most of my phone's tiny internal memory capacity of 200MB.
I'll go more into detail if you think this might be your issue but the issue may be very specific to my device. I'm just an aspiring student-programmer but I'd like to help as best I can.

Flashing new gapps

So here's my question, I for some reason Can NOT install the new Google search 2.7 even after using Titanium to remove the other.
If I remember right I'm either using the slim gapps or the gb 20121011
The Rom I'm using is the newest slimbean
So how does one flash a new gapps package or at least get the search to install?

I think what he meant was double check your android version. each version of android requires a different gapps package. 4.2.2 gapps wont work for 4.1.2 ROMs, etc.
http://goo.im/gapps
You can download any from the link above.
It sounds like you're going through the same headache as when my SGS2 upgraded from CM 10.1 to CM 10.2 and I didn't know. Gapps constantly crashing, play wouldn't connect to anything, annoying. Reflashing the 4.3 gapps fixed it, though.
4.1.2 and I'm using the gapps from goo that's listed for the jb rims but still can't update search
It says file not signed correctly when downloading from play store, and when installing from the apk after uninstalling it with titanium it says incompatible

You need to download the google apps for slim roms. It can be found here:

Hope that helps

Sorry man, but i am new to this stuff, bare with me. Recovery? Is that the program i use to flash ROMS and other things to my phone? I have the Team Win Recovery Project and i hate it. I read that i need to update this before i flash so i did and it still happened. I want to delete the Team Win Recovery Project and go back to Clockwork Mod (i think its called). Any idea how to do this?
Download flashify from play store and use it. It will let you download and flash either recovery. There's a variety of other apps and ways as well. In all honesty though, if you're using the latest version of twrp then you shouldn't have a problem flashing if you're trying the appropriate roms for your phone.
