This is close, a desk stand and second charger combined... but it doesn't charge your phone, you'd need to use a separate cable for that:

the only thing i don't like about these third party docks is they don't typically always charge the battery to full capacity and recharge at a slower rate.
the description say:
"The battery charging slot is design to charge Samsung Galaxy S4 battery up to 85-90% full only. This it to prevent the battery from over charging and damaging the Samsung Galaxy S3 battery"
maybe they should put a chip that stops charging when full (like the OEM samsung docks do)..

Dual Desktop Cradle

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for Dual Desktop Cradle solution. But I'm a little bit confused because I can't find dual desktop cradle with 2AMP, because OEM charger charge with 2AMP, so I think Dual Desktop Cradle also need 2AMP? or 4AMP because need charge battery and phone same time(so 2AMP for each)? Maybe someone saw any solution that meets my requirements? Maybe this one is good for me http://www.kidigi.com/product_lv2.php?pid=1470 ?

Works well, jut not sure if the spare battery stops charging when full.
Yes, but this one are only 500 mA and not enough for Galaxy S4.

Ignore that it says its 500mA. I have used the galaxy charging app and it shows that it is charging at 1900mA, the same the dock is not used. The rear battery also charges the same time of not quicker than charging the phone when its off.
I believe the dock just passes through the current, it does not limit the current to 500mA.

External battery with fast charging

Hi! I'm looking for a portable battery with fast charging support. Any advice? Thank you
I have this one. Very happy with it. As far as I am aware, the battery pack itself doesn't get fast charged but it certainly fast charges my S6.

Sorry I've never timed it and, in any event, I've never charged it from flat so the charging time will depend on what charge the phone is at. However, the S6 does recognise in the notification bar that a fast charger is attached.

I have the same charger too, it's roughly the same as when you plug it into the wall charger. This power bank has a output rating at 5V 2.1A, 9V 1.8A, 12V 1.35A

I have this one from techmate. It's really small, but it's great. Quick charges perfect!
I've this one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00OJXVDAU/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_2bm7vb70Q5KCP
It seems to be capable of quick charging even though it isn't declared as being able to do quick charge.
But the "approximately time to fully charge the device" is the same when I use this power bank or the Samsung quick charger.

multiple batteries or extended battery?

Hello
Newish user of Note 4! Which is convenient to you, multiple batteries or extended battery? I plan to buy a second battery.
Thank you!
Multiple batteries for me. Easier to find cases that you will like from an already very limited selections.

don't think so. there are batteries that claim to be at higher maH but in reality its usually the same or even less maH. I would just get another Samsung battery .
I use an external battery. I'm not getting another Note until the external battery option comes back.
I have spare batteries.
Spare batteries mean double or even triple or even more capacity without changing its form factor.
Extended battery can offer conveniences in battery capacity without restarting device but some of it change the form factor.
I have a Quick Charge 2.0 external battery pack that I just use to top up the phone. Easy and quick; works for me. Just put the phone on the pack for a little while and you can go for hours. You can also get a Quick Charge car charger that will quickly top up your phone. I wouldn't want to keep taking my phone out of its case to swap batteries or have to deal with a huge battery and case as part of the phone. Amazon has several Quick Charge 2.0 packs and car chargers. Plus these will still work when you eventually upgrade your phone.

I own a small USB meter that can report both Volts and Amps. I have checked that this car charger is working correctly on Quick Charge with the Note 4 and it is. Both ports are QC 2.0 ports. One advantage of this charger is it is really small.
I used to use a spare battery, but it was always a pain remembering to recharge the one in the phone, then switching out. Eventually just bought an external battery (actually 2 different sizes) since that's really easy to recharge. I can top it up any chance I get and charge both phone and pack at the same time (with 2 chargers or course). Also I can use it for my tablets and win 8 tablet when I'm traveling with both. But I don't have a need for it very often since I can go most of the day without charging and then almost always am near an outlet or car charger. If I ran out of power mid-day every day, I'd go for an extended battery.

I keep the spare charger in the center console of the car. If I'm low or dead I just swap and let the spare charge as I drive. Never worry about forgetting it. And it's almost always fully charged by the time I need it which is much more since the lollipop update. Thinking of going back to KK.
I use the spare battery kit. The spare battery comes with its own charger housing.
I can keep on using the phone while the other battery is charging in my bag or at the wall charger. Don't have to endure carrying the already large phone while connected to a power bank

I like to use both. Spare battery is when I'm out and about and don't need to worry about a dead battery as I can swap it. When I know I'm going to a place where I will need my phone to be an entertain(For myself) for however long I need to stay at a certain place to kill time, I would use my extended battery. Can't go wrong with either IMO.

Highly doubt whether Quick Charge is working. (Sample battery history)

I'm using an Anker Quick Charge 3.0 charger to charge this device.
Meanwhile thanks to the QI technology I also charge my Galaxy S6 and iPad mini with the same charger.
The funny thing is although A9 have the smallest battery capacity it charge the slowest, like, 1% every minute, which is ridiculous.
I wonder anybody else experienced similar problem?
Oh by the way the battery life is far from satisfactory, I'm a heavy user who look at my phone every 10 minutes, I need to charge it twice a day. To be honest, S6 is a great phone, it's more vivid screen and wireless charge always make me feel a big mistake to switch over, although it doesn't have Android 6.0 . sadly I really need latest Android badly so I cannot stick to it.
Attaching a screenshot of battery history here, just for reference.

Experiencing same problem. Bought a QC 3.0 adapter, I only got from 6% to 43% in 32 mins. Even at Quickcharge 2.0 speeds, 1.16%/minute seems pretty slow especially when compared to the advertised "0% to 60% charge in 30 minutes." (Lies.....)

Yes, are you supposed to turn it off? I think when the phone reaches a certain percentage of power it automatically turns power saving mode off.

How can you tell what mode you're in? How can you tell if you're in Quick Charge? I thought one of the feature in Marshmallow is it will tell you when you're in Quick Charge or normal charge. I saw that in Nexus 5x and 5p but not in the A9. Does anyone know how to turn this feature on?
When you plug the phone into a charger, it turns Power Save off automatically...been doing this since the M9 or earlier.

Any Difference in Wireless Chargers?

I have a Samsung wireless fast charging pad I bought for my S7. Is there any difference in the charging speed between it and the latest dock style ones?
Nope

Maybe you know. I was told that using non-original wireless charging is bad because they spoil the battery. Is it so?
Generic wireless chargers do not fast charge in my experience. I have tried 3 off of Amazon so far.
I have a Seneo Fast Charger stand and its been great .
As long as the wireless dock is Fast Charge capable and your adapter is QuickCharge 2.0 compliant it should work. I have four Seneo Fast Charge docks that I use with both Samsung and RavPower QC 2.0 adapters and they work great with my S7 Edge. I will test when I get it but I'd assume the S8+ will work the same.
You know if it is working because the phone displays two messages when you dock it.
"Charging wirelessly xx%"
and then after a second or two
"Fast charging wirelessly xx%"

I believe the S8 (like the S7) can accept up to 15w wireless charging (Qi 2.0 spec) but most chargers barely output 10w. Not sure why but I would be looking for a good 15w output charger unless theres a reason not to.

I think the reference is to batteries losing capacity. The older a battery is the less capacity it holds. A battery rated at 3600mAH might only hold 2000mAH after a couple of years of use. High charging current causes a lot of heat buildup in the battery and will shorten (spoil) it's life.
Best way to tell if your battery has lost capacity is to measure charge time. Having it die quickly could mean it's just running too many apps, but charging time (with the phone off) should give an indication of battery capacity. If your battery charges twice as fast as a new one, it's lost half its capacity.

Got it. Sorry, I actually thought they meant that the battery spoils. Like the way some "normal" batteries blow up if left in devices for too long. I was seeing memories of the S7 nightmare.
AFAIK, the only listed change between the Dock style Samsung Fast charger and the Convertible Fast charger is that the new 1 can be changed from dock to pad.
I just picked up 2x Dock styles from amazon for 40 bucks a piece, way better than spending 70 for the convertible style.
Or these?

I was amazed how quickly they showed up too. Took 3 days from order to delivery. I think they purposely put almost 2 weeks delivery time just so that when you get it "early" you're amazed.

Means that the battery holds its charge less. Faster discharges, in general the life of the battery decreases
If you use Qi wireless charger, it has 1.4x faster than traditional wireless charger. Built-in 2 coils offer a wide charging area, which allows you to place your device in either portrait or landscape position. You can also continue using it to read, watch or type while the battery is being replenished.
