The next Sony software rollout for Xperia
P , Xperia go and Xperia Edual is starting
this week – it is a phased process and will
ramp up over this month and next*.
The new software brings Android 4.1 “Jelly
Bean”, along with a number of different
and improved Sony features. We’ve been
working to blend our Sony Xperia software
with Google’s Jelly Bean release to create
some cool user experiences – some of the
functionality you can look forward to

Newer and even more intuitive versions of
Sony Media apps: WALKMAN, Album and
Movies
A set of slick, easy-on-the-eye libraries
that let you access and share all your
snaps, videos and tunes.
Make your battery last longer with Battery
STAMINA Mode
Battery STAMINA Mode lets you get the
most out of your battery when you need it.
Fully customizable, your phone knows
when the screen is off and shuts down the
draining apps you don’t need, and then
instantly starts them up again when the
screen is back on.
Organize and search for your apps in a new
quicker way
Application tray sorting is that bit breezier
– just press and hold on any app – move,
add it to your desktop or create a folder

How get root?
How to get root rights @ Xperia E Dual version 11.3.A.2.1. (JB 4.1.1).? Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v29: and UnlockRoot did not help.
I dunno mine was v.......68.... Ii rooted with unlockckroot

updates are released in region stages then carrier stages
If you've updated to jelly bean, please upload ftf rom to download.

Not every version is getting the update yet, but you can change your version customization string in build.prop to another one which gets offered the update (requires root). Mine was 1271-7596 (Central Europe), and changing it to 1271-1644 (Turkey) got me the 11.3.A.2.1 update with SUS (requires locked boot loader).
Edit: This is for C1605, not C1604.

You're right, what I've posted is for C1605. Version strings for C1604 are different, but I don't know if it works for any of those.

By editing that,can we get update???...or should we wait for the fake promise of Sony to release jb by June beginning....

JB has already been released in INdia for C1604 Sony Xperia E Dual
What I should edit and how should I edit to get the Jelly Bean release for C1604.
I bought mine directly from Sony Brazil, so it is not carrier unlocked.
I was used to Samsung phones. Bought this as a backup phone while my S3 is in being fixed.

Update any C1604 Sony Xperia E Dual to 4.1.1 jelly bean
Hi mirdones,
you should have the following software....
Androxyde XPERIA Flashtool
Sony Update services
Sony PC Companion
You should first re-install your firmware of your Sony Xperia E DUal using SUS.
And Backing up the appropriate file and convert it to FTF for further use.
Root the phone....
back up Build.prop to a pc or some where safe for further use..
Edit Build.prop
by finding 3 lines and replace with strings from below ( these are strings from India built)
replace xxxx-xxxx with 1270-7235
ro.product.name=C1604_xxxx-xxxx
ro.build.fingerprint=Sony/C1604_xxxx-xxxx/C1604:4.0.4/11.1.A.0.64/20121227.095050:user/release-keys
ro.semc.version.cust=xxxx-xxxx
(if possible post ure brazil built strings here so if some one wants he can download and flash brazil built)
if u have unlocked ure bootloader to root then relock your bootloader. Then restart ure phone and connect it through Sony PC companion to check for update...
it will show an update is present and update ure Phone To JB
my phone sure got updated to JB
I hope you know how to root and then relock the bootloader... If not check the forum for other topics to find how to do it?

-The background of walkman change color like dominant color in album
- When you see picture, in album, you can see the LED notification blink
- Liveware manager is changed with Smart Connect
I think in this new firmware, the new things are focus on LED. But the touchscreen issue is still
Sorry! For the disappearance! Had to acheive some personal goals in life! Uploaded another calibration app for some who reported faults! Try out calibration2 app from attachments. Thanks to bumble bee for help! cheers!
Atlast a Fix for the touch issue Mainly associated with Xperia J
Only Some have touch screen problem in xperia J....dunno y!!
Use this fix only if you are not satisfied with touch screen response!! dont callibrate unnecessarily!!
1.Download the callibrate.apk from attachments
2.Install
3.Callibrate and voila....touch screen problem solved! (Should Work! cant solve if any one has a problem yet after callibrating....you should probably wait for next firmware update from sony)
Info: There will be another firmware update soon which solves most of the problem......and the kewl thing is sony is rolling out JB for Xperia J by end of march '13!!! ( no luck for tipo and miro! )

I saw my screen is far worse than my friends Galaxy Mini...After I calibrated it became much much better...Only I calibrated twice...shouldn't be the problem?? (Xperia Miro)
If this is the official calibration patch, which I suppose it is, it's no problem Option58
Besides, this was practically already posted... in Themes and Apps section. Together with Xperia Tipo's Bravia Engine.
I think it should be put there anyway, since this is not development, it has been released by Sony itself, or isn't this the official @kishenpj21 ?

Thanks. It works. Ths touchscreen issue had made the phone unusable previously.
I thought Sony would resolve the problem in the latest firmware update but they have made the problem even worse.
what's the touch issue exactly? im running latest build 11.0.A.5.5 in my Miro. no issues so far..
EDIT: is the APK solely for Xperia phones? i got touch issues on my Karbonn A9+/CM Flare.. it cant register 2 touches within a split second..
I can't even insert my pin code... any suggestions?

This is a frequent problem in a Tipo or similar models. Request the mods to sticky this.

Xperia L it is. P has a slower processor and GPU compared to L. But xperia L. You'll get it for 17K online.

i got to read in some reviews that it starts lagging after half hours of game play and also gets slow sometimes though it contains dual core? Does it has bravia engine?
It has never ever lagged whenever I played heavy games like MC3, MC4, GTA III and Nova 3! About the bravia engine, yup this one doesn't have it but the screen looks beautiful even without it.

Camera is bad according to me. About sound quality and earpiece, one of the best I have ever used. No complains except for the camera.

Today my brother gave me Sony Xperia J. I've had HTC Wildfire S before, but Xperia J is much better than WFS
I have question about important thing: What is wrong with headphones? I've read about that, and i don't know if it's hardware or software problem. Is that right, that after update to Jelly Bean Xperia J doesn't detect headphones? Is root and flashing any CM or other rom helpful?

I want Xperia Z lockscreen that is of jellybean for all devices and Movies and walkman app of Xperia Z !! I have stock ROM , Rooted with ICS !! Please give me the link and the instructions to install it (via CWM) & Can I get it without installing it via CWM ?! Like kind of replacing app in system/app like that. As I haven't installed any app via CWM before. Will be thankful if I get some guidance

Headphones working ok! No problem is der! Just that the volume is little low. Solution is the app called volume boost which u can find easily on Play Store. Best luck!

Root is fine but the CM is not official and have some bugs so i dont prefer CM! AVD is good withe honami framework and the new media apps

Well I've tried the lockscreen before, It didn't work up! It is already written In the thread that it has been tested in ICS and doesn't work in it. and the link is dead I guess (Of the Small Apps) It isn't opening any other alternative for the two?! Thanks a lot.

I will try it but i have other problem. I wanted to unlock bootloader but i can't. i typed the code *#*#7378423#*#* in dialer and i found out i can't unlock bootloader. So i flashed debranded soft via flashtool and the same thing... "Bootloader unlock allowed: No". Is there any way to unlock BL?

I was expecting quicksettings feature with this firmware update.
But it's still missing with this firmware.
The Sony Xperia C running on 4.2.2 has the feature. I can't see why Sony doesn't add this feature for our Xperia L.
What do you think guys?

It may not be fully compatible with 15.3.A.1.12
Or try xposed framework gravitybox or the xperia clean n tweaked rom.
You can try GravityBox's quick settings.. that worked for me.
