Well if you want a hybrid case this one is fantastic. I was bummed that there are so few of the big manufacturers making cases for this phone, and had primarily been using my bumper. But paranoia dictated I get some protection for it at work. This I found on Amazon, and it is QUALITY

Yep at first I thought the rubber was caught on the plastic. But I got used to it. It's great.

Definitely an awesome case. I've had mine for a week now and the phone feels really secure and protected. Only complaints are about the silicon inside. It attracts lint really easily and sometimes it adds unwanted friction when taking it out or putting it in my pocket. But I think those are fair tradeoffs for something that would definitely help the phone survive a fall
I never dropped the Nexus before I got the case. I put the case on and walk outside and boom phone goes flying from my hand. Trial by fire. Phone is perfect. Case is great.

There are a few, along with some carrier stores that have cases for the nexus. Most of them are extremely over priced (cases that you can get for a buck on ebay cost $15+ in there stores) and you hardly ever see good quality cases in these stores or carrier stores as a case that would cost you $10 to $20 on ebay or amazon would be close to $60 to $70 bucks with their current markup.
I can't think of any cell phone accessories where you can get even close to a good deal or even an average deal in a store.

I agree, it looks kind of cheap looking for $13 price tag. I hope Google gets off its ass and start making these Bumpers available. They also need to start contacting companies to get some cases on the market. If they are going to keep running out of Bumpers and we have very limited options, they BETTER expect lots of cracked Nexus 4's coming back to their replacement warehouse. There is no reason for a company like this to have such a poor E-Commerce practice. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I haven't gotten the clear case I ordered yet from them, but I can vouch for their customer service.
I preordered the clear case and received a package from them late last week. It had an S case in it.
The clear cases have taken a little longer to manufacture, so they sent me a free S case to make sure my phone is protected until the clear case is in stock.
Note: I ordered the clear case, not the smoked clear. Looks like they took the clear option off of Amazon temporarily.

I have their S- line type case on my nexus 4 right now, I know it isn't the same case, but very similar. TBO it looks like the same one that is selling on Ebay from China for less.
I considered buying one off Ebay, but glad I didn't because they sent me a black case when I ordered a clear one. I messaged them and they are sending me the clear one I ordered free of charge. I know it is rare to have an issue like I did, but it is nice to know they have good customer
service.
Here's a link to the one I ordered:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A72UR7M/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
what a crock.
i received my kay case:

and it was identical to iblason:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009Y0ZZD4/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00
I mean identical in every way. Even the insert they gave. Both are unbranded black cases.
Do not buy this case thinking it might be an alternative to the iblason.
IDENTICAL
I am looking for a clear shield just for the back. Can anyone suggest anything?

dont waste your time with those bumpers, i bought similar ones for gnex and they were garbage, the rubber will start pealing from the pastic after a few weeks or sooner if you take it off and on too much. I bought a black and white one, the white one had a hole in a random spot. they look and feel very cheap, i paid $7 for them and felt like i was ripped off.

15$ for that bumper is expensive. I prefer pay 10$ more (with shipping fees) and get the original one. On Amazon, the price is more reasonnable
The Google bumper is great, feels like it was always meant to be on the device, and doesn't add noticeable bulk. I'd recommend shelling out the extra bucks.

not sure if I agree with the noticeable bulk part. The device doesn't feel thicker but it definitely feels wider and takes some getting used to. I love the bumper for the most part and it definitely has grown on me but then when I take it out and feel the device naked the difference is night and day.

AW: Diztronic soft TPU case review
Thanks for the review. Case lools really great. I will order one. Actually i had a TPU case from mumbi at Amazon. But the case looks not so good.
..... from my Nexus 4 .....
Honestly, I'm not sure why this case is not more popular. As far as TPU cases go this is the one of the better(if not the best) case I've seen. The inside has a felt like material that protects/cushions the phone back(the glass part ). Its similar to the new Body Glove case but its a bit sleeker and better looking(no stormtrooper look here). High quality design and materials. Bump for a great product. Great price too.
Also has anyone used this case with the Orb? Any issues with charging with the case on?
My favorite case, also purchased the mybat case, but prefer the diztronic. Provides enough protection and good grip.

I was just about to checkout and saw there was a discount code field, after a quick Google search for a code, this thread popped up with your post. I saved ~$1.95, not much, but it adds up over time!
I had one of these for my Galaxy Nexus and loved it. I just got one for my Nexus 4 and was a little disappointed. The on/off and volume buttons seem to need a little harder push than it did when naked or with the bumper case that came with it. On a good note, the Zens charger I got today seems to work just fine with the case on. I will find out how well tonight when I charge it.
One more thing, the data/charging cable I use in my car that worked fine on the Gnex, does not work in the Nexus 4 case as the cut out is two small. I can swap out the cable with a thinner one so that's no big deal.
I bought a flip cover, but it doesn't go all the way, and doesn't completely close. I removed it, and installed it again but that didn't solve it. Is it meant to be like this? I thought that it was supposed to snap magnetically and fully cover the screen
I have also installed a zagg screen protector installed, but I don't think that that should cause a problem like this. Is this a case of faulty design, or misinformed consumer? Pic included below.
I had the regular one and was not impressed. Did about the same...
Too much money for such a poor performer...
Yeah same issue here.
I am hoping the OtterBox for the S4 is going to be out within 2 weeks. If so, I'll return the S view cover for a refund and get the otterbox

over a few weeks, it will loosen up and sit much tighter on the screen......but it still wont stay shut in the even of a fall...
I ordered this case from Amazon, but it must be coming on the slow train, because it's taking forever to arrive. I like that it has the s view option, but still protects the phone better than the official case. Hopefully it won't be a piece of junk.

Mine doesn't sit flat either. I'm gonna keep it a few days on it's face to see if it loosens up a bit. I only paid $20 for the official one so even if I don't like it it's not a huge loss.
All the reviews I see of the S-view say it is bad, when actually they are reviewing it before it has had a chance to be broken in. When broken in it closes completely, and it doesn't leave marks on the screen when you use a screen protector. I would recommend getting a cheap knock of and see if you like the feel before getting the real one.

I checked it out and fitted the white one today at bestbuy, but just couldn't justify spending $40+tax (after pricematch and $10 credit) on a plastic case, maybe if it was leather. I take pics of my toddler a lot, so this case is just not right for me.

I picked up an S-View case when I bought my S4. I do like how it helps to steady the phone when taking pictures or watching my Slingplayer. I use it as a sort of mono pod in my hands. It does remove finger prints on the glass with tge felt lined inside.

I really like the s view option, but I'm not thrilled with any of the cases out there yet. I would like one that properly protects the corners of the phone, and that stay closed if the phone is dropped. So far none of them have those features. I have an s view case (the tridea brand, from amazon) that I'll use until something better comes along.

No, it doesn't. The s view window is over the camera when flipped all of the way over. However, the window can pick up fingerprints, so that's something to be aware of when taking pictures. This hasn't been a problem for me so far, but I've seen posts by others who are concerned about it.
