Apart from GSMArena, I don't see why anyone would bother to read these reviews at all. They are all mainstream media. You can find much better reviews that BoneXDA listed from certain other obscure sites. Gizmodo?? Is that place still alive?
Some of those reviews really took a dump on the Galaxy S4's low light performance, they place the phone in no light and then bash it for not doing well. I wouldn't expect a point and shoot to produce decent photos in those conditions.

lol sorry guys, I'm doing all this from my iPod touch lol!!!!
The Android Authority one came off as a bit harsh, and it did that thing in reviews that other reviewers do (like Erica Griffin) that irks me. If you're coming from the S3 and you've used it a lot and now you're looking at the S4, you can come off sounding jaded when you're talking about the "small bump up" from the previous device. I have never owned a Galaxy S-line phone before, so saying it's too much like its previous counterpart doesn't help me that much since I haven't used it. People new to the phone line, like me, want to know how it does in its own merits without looking at it purely from nostalgic goggles. I'm buying a Galaxy S4, not a Galaxy S3 bundled with a Galaxy S4.
Yes, they are pretty similar, but then again I think someone has to be pretty naive to expect "revolutionary changes" when we're talking about a yearly phone release, in addition to multiple other phone releases in those years. For what it did do, I see plenty of things that make it a solid upgrade, just going by objective differences. It's asinine that the only thing separating the Galaxy S4 and being "completely awesome!" is that it used a polycarbonate back and not an aluminum one. I don't know about anyone else, but, I calibrate my standards a lot differently then that.
Well it's the "Plasticky design" debacle all over again. That's to be expected though but after buying the SGP neo-hybrid, I don't think that will be a big problem for me. As for the rest of the reviews about hardware, yeah I agree, this is pretty much the Koenigsegg of smartphone. It might not look beautiful but it packs a whole lot of punch. On the software side, I think I will disable lots of bloatware save for a view like air gesture. All and all I, as a power user, won't be disappointed in this even one bit.

Everyone said the same thing last year... and the GS3 became the phone of the year.
And I do understand people want a premium phone, but in all honesty, get a case.
I've seen so many people with Iphone5s with ugly cases. Doesn't that ruin the premium look and feel of your phone?
__
Verge said SO many good things about the phone, but then at the end he said he would never use it because it felt... disgusting or something, lol.
These reviews make me question my order as I'm using the One but battery life isn't great on the One. But then again they all said bad things about the S3 and look what happened there.

But all of this beauty in design falls victim to one flaw, and it’s the same that Samsung has been dealing with for the past several years. Build quality and materials simply do not feel as premium as the phone really is. It’s a bit misleading. The Galaxy S4 definitely operates as a world-class smartphone, but in your hand and pocket it feels plastic-y and a bit cheap.
We would have loved to see Samsung take some initiative in this area and upgrade to aluminum casing or perhaps a more innovative material like ceramic or polycarbonate, but alas, maybe that will come with the Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy S5. For now it seems Samsung is set in its current design language.

im a girl that wanted a android phone so bad especially nexus s but this guy review have changed my mind : what u guys think about this ? is there alot of farts apps on market?
here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CZGX5dzcR4
please share if its true what he said cause i need a phone real bad.
being a girl means nothing. this video looks blah, 7 minutes; wont even bother watching this video.
https://market.android.com/ look for yourself. anybody can put a youtube video of their opinions.
if YOU like the nexus s, just get it.. you don't need any of our approvals to get the phone.
i personally like it and so do many of the users here with the exception of the j0hnz troll and some other guys.
if you end up NOT liking the phone, just return it.... its not that complicated.
Just go with your gut feeling. Don't second guess yourself. If you've shown this much interest into the nexus s, then give it a try. Like zephik said, you could always return it. Everyone has their own opinion. Let us know yours.

The guy in the video is ingrained/invested in iOS. He's used to it. If you've got $$$ invested in iOS apps like I bet he does, I'd probably stick with it too...just like I'm much more likely to stick with Android.
Nexus s is way better than iphone period.
My friends are really jealous about my Nexus s and call it "super iphone" lol.
no additional charge for tethering is a huge plus as well.
Get Nexus S. or wait for galaxy s 2
ya thanks guys ill do that. i have played with nexus s and love the speed and i already have the 3 cases for nexus s but not the phone yet as soon its released april 28th to rogers ill get it
uh this guy is complaining about updates with the nexus s and the iOS app store has SOOOO may crap apps it is crazy. Just go test them both out.

We know that you never said that you're special. Humans can imply things without saying them. We at XDA don't condone any prejudice towards any cultures, ethnicities or genders.
I don't see why being a girl would affect a person's ability to use a device. If anything, it should relate towards your personality (a person who isn't tech savvy vs. a person who is)
I just recently got the Nexus S here in Vancouver as well(when it released on April 7th. with the other carriers, and it has only been an awesome experience thus far. I watched the video you posted up until the guy said how he used androids in the past and stuff about how software is not updated. This guy is blowing crap out of his ass, cause he ain't got a clue. Nexus S is pure android and gets updates straight from google, and doesn't go through any manufacturers or carriers. If this guy doesn't even know that then you can pretty much take the rest of his video as a joke cause he clearly hasn't done his research.
As for the girl comment, I agree with Zephik, it really depends on whether or not you're tech savy. And even if you're not that tech savy I'd say Android is user friendly enough out of the box that you'll be fine.

ummmmmmm....don't mean to be rude but nexus s is not a sports where there will be difference between boy and girl. you just discriminated yourself for being a girl by asking if it's easy for girls. is there such thing that is easy for guys but not for girls?
p.s. i'm a dude btw =)
This guy is an idiot. Go to best buy: Try a Nexus S; Try an iPhone 4. If you don't like the Nexus S, buy an iPhone 4. If you don't like the iPhone 4, buy a Nexus S. These decisions are not that hard, regardless if you're a girl or not.
IMO, the Nexus S is a great device, although I am starting to grow weary of it, and have been more curiously looking into the G2x and the Galaxy S II. So, now I would say, if you have ruled out the iPhone 4 as a contender, then decide between the Nexus S, G2x, and the Galaxy S II, and at this point, if it were my decision, I would go with a G2x. If you can wait a few months, go with the Galaxy S II, or wait; I'm sure there will be something new unveiled soon enough. Google apps are amazing, market apps are starting to improve, and once again, this guy is an idiot.
I'll sell you my Nexus S if you want. For a super price. Hahah
sofia-captivate, iPhone is limited gadget. Apple placed users in a certain scope. Android not limited, everything is in your hands.

The only accurate thing he said was that the Samsung Vibrant didn't get updates, which is a fault of Samsung and/or the carrier modified firmware. The Nexus S is a pure Google device and does not rely on manufacturers or carriers to play with the firmware - all updates to Android are released and made available to all Nexus users.
This guy is a bit weird too...he's almost whispering, moves his eyes/head and hands about as though he's had a few drinks, and goes on too much about how great iOS is over Android. A comparison is fair, his video is heavily biased toward Apple.
Also the Nexus S is a lot better than the Vibrant with better hardware and clean software, so comparing it to a Nexus S is like comparing a Chevy to a BMW. I'm very happy with the Nexus S.
when she mention being a girl, may be she's not a tech savy or she thinks she has small hand for the actual phone, either way the NS is a great phone, used the galaxy S i9000 before, even after rooting it, it slows down very often, all the manufacture crap inside is a bad thing, NS is pure google, NS is fast, theres no competition.
I stumbled on this review while looking for info on new ROM's. It paints a decent picture of my ugly but hardy tablet. If I ever sell it, this article would be a good link to help bump up the price . Ugly? I wouldn't say the thing is ugly.
The article's author is Chris Matier. The OP is 'matguard'. Coincidence? Perhaps. Still, good article.
Hmmmm, who is this really?
Anyways, very good review. It kind of explains why I still kept and use it after going out and buying an Ipad 2, and I am still running it stock.
The Ipad was necessary for the very good business apps I needed and really like and use. But other than being an owner of Ipods I have never been a user of Apple. Right off the bat, the closed society and structure grates me more than I thought it would. I could never go with their desktops or laptops.
By the way, I had used two credit cards on the Itunes store and both had the numbers lifted with attempted big purchases from the thief. Now only use Itunes gift cards but WTF? So much for Apple's security. They just go into denial mode when anyone complains or points out defects.
This review pretty much states my reasons for having the tab and loving it also. I jumped on it during a woot sale. Tried to go unrooted for a bit, but the rooting was easy, the roms are fun. I enjoy my tablet greatly.
This review is spot on. Explains all reasons I like and dislike my tablet. XDA is a necessity for this tablet to shine.

I cant understand why they come on here or every youtube video about the Sensation and post how their Sgs2 is better?! like who cares!?! We like a phone that isnt made out of plastic!!
Does it make them feel better about their purchase when they post stupid stuff..
Why do BMW, M-B, and Audi owners compare their cars? Both HTC and Samsung positioned the Sensation and the SGS2 as their "flagships" giving everyone the right to be critical. If you look at the SGS2 board, all's not perfect. I think everyone's just curious to see how the Sensation compares to both HTC's hype and other recently launched high-end phones.
in short yes... they are in every thread praising the almighty sgs2... but anyway this thread is irrelevant and should be deleted
Two awesome phones being released at the same time makes people in the market to buy consider both phones. When you do that, you consider all the specs to what you desire.
Both phones are great. The problem is once people decide which phone they prefer, they defend why they believe one phone is better than the other. It sparks debate, then at some point it gets childish when people start calling names, defending a manufacturer or condescend others for wanting one phone over the other.
Not to mention, once you shell out any amount of $$$ for something you have to justify it. If someone is saying it's not worth it, that may spark a bit of emotion if you like said product.
To me, it's more damaging than it does good. Everyone needs to agree to disagree or just be content with their purchases. If there are benefits of one phone over the other, then fine. Share information and let everyone decide what they want on their own. No need to call people "trolls" or "fanboys" because they prefer one device over the other. It's silly.

Respectfully, you can just say all Samsung guys come over posting that the GSII is better, because it's there are a fair share of HTC sensation users that do the same, simply because of what the below/above/PREVIOUS post said. Generally (from what I've seen on other forums) ONCE you get the device, whether it be Sensation or the GSII, you tend to lay off the forums because you "contempt" with whichever phone you went for, because they're both beauties.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they put the Sensation down because they're trying to validate the purchase of the SG2. You have to admit, flaunting around your product, saying it's better, makes it seem better.
Who cares, Sammy just pist off htc release Sensation at the Same time as SGII. That's how bussiness is. Competitions..... Isn't great for us consumers? Plus im not dumb enough paying 750-800 for that plastic crap. Sensation 500 full retail and tons loads of dev.

This -well-analyzed- behavior is called "Cognitive Dissonance" , and yes, it makes them feel better, even superior to do so. =D
so long, waiting for the sensation to come out unbranded on the market in germany.
Sgs 2 owner here, but loved my htc hero before this. Was checking out the sensation and evo 3d before I went for the sgs 2.
I liked all these phones equally, there really is not much between them that it really matters.
but sgs was released just as my upgrade come up.
Still very interested in the sensation and how people are finding it, so is why i come to this forum.
personally I believe I would of been just as happy with the sensation. looks a fantastic device that will be even nicer with a few patches/upgrades.
The SII is a much better offering but it still has huge, glaring weaknesses in my eyes. The cheap plastic casing is a turn off, I don't like the buttons or the hardware design whatsoever (I detest it so much I wouldn't even use a free SII) and the UI looks absolutely horrible. And those are mostly just the cosmetic flaws.
It does some things right but at the end of the day, if I somehow acquired that phone I'd sell it in favor of getting another dual core like the HTC Sensation or Evo 3D.
Lol another fanboy thread. I see plenty of HTC fanboys in the Samsung forum. Starting a whole thread about this as well? We all know the mods don't care either, or are in with the game. Sorry that the Sensation isn't getting the type of buzz that the GS2 is and this forum is way smaller, so people have nothing better to do than speculate and start ****. Dogs pushed into a corner will bark louder. Would be nice if all the fanboys just choked each other to death, but then again it is a HUMAN flaw.

Don't we all!
Personally I spent about 3 weeks deciding between the SGS2 and the Sensation, both are obviously great products.
I must have read every review and comparison on the net.
In the end I chose the Sensation because I prefer the solid feel, HTC Sense, and I'll take resolution above screen brightness and vibrancy, but these are all matters of personal choice and I can understand why others would choose differently.
Each to their own and enjoy your phone whichever one you bought.
The SGS II fans are hoping more hackers get one so they'll get more support .

This goes against the objective of the thread. It's blasphemous to think about other products as per OP. You are not allowed to compare other products.

What I am more worried about is why so less posts/threads about the product. The GS2 forum was filled with comments, complaints, discussion and the internet was filled with topics/reviews/analysis. Sensation on the opposite seems so quite. Everyone wants to know about the phone and I can't wait to read more.

Good point... people can be manipulated into believing anything. You know that it's gonna be appealed for sure.
I would agree with the apple v samsung comment if samsung were mentioned in this video, but they were comparing apples and apples. literally.
Still funny. People are idiots. Doesn't the phone say it's a 4S on the back in extremely tiny letters? And of course a new phone without any web cache or app cache or e-mail updates every ten seconds slowing it down will be faster. All goes to show you can social-engineer just about anything.
LOLOL that's awesome.
Thinking again, I can see the verdict coming to mind... I can see, "if people are so effing stupid they can't tell the difference between an iP4S and ... well, an iP4S -- or they see differences when obviously none exist -- then how can they be expected to see the differences between the Empire State building and Lake Pontchartrain or a Galaxy device and an iPlop?"
Bet if you did that to some Android users, we would know.

Where would you even start??? it is so hard to find an android phone that looks like its predecessor that much you cant tell it apart. Plus with android users, the first question they'd probably ask is"what android version is it running?" And that would problably give it away.
Right???
I've been working break-fix for years, supporting end users from literally all walks, and one thing I've noticed about the majority of iPhone users is they are absolutely lemmings, across the board. The majority of my customers -- apple users and otherwise -- are buzzword addicts, and I had this conversation with my coworker a few days ago... you could say there's a new technology out in [insert platform here] that would be the coolest thing, and if you called it "doodooflinging" three weeks from now you'd have a hundred of their friends at the local [insert platform here] store asking for the latest poo, and it wouldn't matter that it didn't really exist because most people wouldn't know otherwise.
Like 802.11n. Seriously, how would you know, if you don't know tech and it's not written on the device?
Yeah, sheeple.
Good Stuff
Had to post that for all my iPhone freak friends. Totally hilarious!
Ah yes. The meat-head claiming it was lighter as he pulled his out with what looked like a nice rugged plastic case on it. Way to be perceptive...good game.

They've been running anti-apple stuff way before the court stuff even happened. I think it's just in response to the iphone 5 release like the guy from cnet said. I REALLY doubt samsung is too hurt over this court crap. They'll just appeal it anyways...
Samsung is really making some hilarious ads. I'd not want to be seen with an iPhone, LOL! Check this out:

Lmao good video, I honestly dont know why people are obsessed with apple products.
Status.
I'm different. Like everyone else.
You know.
EDIT: At least, that used to be it. iPhone used to be new, so people wanted one, but the status thing is still there.
For some of them, it's a "hoity toity" thing, for others it's just "I paid double what I needed to for my hardware". So it's still a status thing, but those of us back here on Planet Earth are more sensible.
A couple if friends went to ridicule the apple fans lining up for the iphone, LOL!

And please stop tying us down to Samsung phones with your watches. I use to be a HUGE Samsung supporter and loyal customer, but I'm really starting to look at other options. Why complain on xda forums. Posting here Samsung won't get a whiff of this post. They clearly are not copying Apple, I see way more differences than similarities. See what Samsung's been good at doing is looking at competitors (Apple) and designing something better at a better price point. I don't like the Apple watch design but Samsung's UI in that video is rather sexy . I like the build design to. Tizen is now really well smoothed out, so if you're having issues with a smoothed out UI, then either its the old phone or maybe the person holding the phone haha xD Seriously though, I see you sent from LG, but they really aren't competitor worthy to Samsung. Apple is Samsung's only real competition. If you can only look at the bad in things then it's not that thing it might be your negative outlook. I mean all this in good humor, no disrespect but don't slam a company you can't even do better then. Also it is possible to use Samsung smartwatches on non Samsung devices.

Thanks. I posted on a General Discussion sub. Lol. Im sorry for voicing my opinion and hurting your feelings. Thanks for preaching your Samsung gospel and your personal love for Tizen. I have now changed my current view and feelings toward Samsung thanks to your heavily informational reply. Let's get some things straight for you, you know, since you know me so well apparently. I've never once owned an Apple product nor do i care to, so don't think for one second I'm just an Apple Fanboy taking up for Apple. I've been a long time Samsung supporter and have always looked forward to getting their "New Best Thing". I, for the first time in 5 years had decided to switch me and my wife to T-Mobile from Sprint. Had to trade in my Galaxy S5 i might add to take advantage of their offer. Before that, i have owned every Galaxy S series down to the Samsung Fascinate. I have owned the Gear and Gear 2, and now the Gear S. As someone who appreciates for one a removable battery and expandable storage that Android (and Samsung has always offered), i decided i would test the waters and get a lil change of scenery and opt for the G4 instead of the way overpriced Galaxy S6 that clearly has its own issues (unless of course we can just blame the " user behind the phone " as you would rather do). You are blind (or just that much of a Samsung fanboy) if you don't see the obvious similarities in the Galaxy S6 and the iPhone 6 and now the Gear S2 and the Apple Watch UI. You love Tizen eh? Well good for you buddy. Most, including me would rather not have it anywhere near our watch. It's the devil! Thanks to a great dev @biktor_gj ,who has been able to work miracles getting rid of it, we don't have to have that junk on our watch anymore. When his current work is done and he releases a build, you're telling me you're not gonna flash it and go with Android instead of that extremely boring and flat and limited OS Tizen? Doubt it. My "old phone" btw, is a new Lg G4. For you you sit there and say it doesn't compare to Samsung, i would highly recommend you go do some research. When you have other reputable Android sites and news sources calling out Samsung for the very same thing i was venting about, then that's saying something. Need proof? Or you think you can handle the research yourself? Lmk. Also, i and many other loyal Samsung users have more than earned the right to complain. They're losing loyal customers. It's a fact. And wth are you talking about " i can't do better than "??? Lol. I love how you so smoothly throw it out there that you can connect this watch to another phone besides Samsung like it's just as simple and quick as connecting to a Samsung phone. Lol. My guess is you've never had to do it because you own a Samsung phone. But since you like to talk and assume things and accuse someone of not knowing how to operate their phone before doing your research maybe I'll help you out. Connecting our non Samsung phones to our Gear S is nothing short of a pain in the ... well you know where I'm going with that. Once you finally do find the many correct apks to install and hope it works, not to mention editing your build.prop and get it connected via bluetooth, guess what? We're limited to receiving notifications and making and receiving calls only. That's right. No apps. No Appstore. Not even weather data. (Most of those Tizen apps in the App Store are garbage anyway). So yeah. It's a little frustrating if you don't mind that is.....Since I'm not privileged enough to own the late great and best Samsung Galaxy S or Note series. It's clearly my fault. Run a poll and see if I'm alone in my feelings. Find out how many on this Gear S forum own a different phone other than Samsung. While you're at it, find out how many can't wait to flash CM 12.1 onto their watch (thanks to Biktor btw) vs keeping the oh so awesome Tizen.

How exactly is this a copy of Apple? The round icons? Tizen has had them for some time, well before the iWatch. The original Gear S had them.
I'll have to wait and see, but the design looks 1000x better than either the iWatch or the original Gear S.
My main concern is how it looks and how it works. The Gear S is slow, the pedometer is a joke, the heart rate monitor is useless if you're moving even a little bit. It's got all the right ideas, but really poor execution.

I'll admit you bring some valid points to the table but Tizen has come a long way since its inception. I do plenty of modding and rather savy with computers so I know how to do some things. You had stated that the Gear S can't connect to other phones, I was simply pointing out you can. Believe me Samsung has other things to work out, but like I said, what they've been good at is looking at competitors and making their own versions better, that's what competitors do, and I gotta say Samsung continues to beat Apple. Idk if you actually have seen videos or used the Apple watch but the UI is definitely different than Apple's. It looks cleaned up, redesigned, better Tizen if that's what they're using. Tizen is one of Samsung's trademarks, just because you and less than majority, (or band wagon haters) think it's bad, apparently can't appreciate progress. There are things about Samsung I do not like and things I like about other companies. You see, if there were no negatives and positives about these separate companies, oligopolies arise. CM does do a great job, hence why I like One Plus. Now that I think of it, probably are a better upcoming competitor then Apple if they continue what their doing, (minus the invite system). The biggest thing for me is that AT&T and Verizon locked the bootloaders on the Note 4 which is terrible. The Gear S is a good watch but going from that to the Gear S 2 hella looks worth it considering the huge changes I'm seeing here. I love modding, rooting and exploring other mobile OS's but all in all Samsung does a great job. Their is beauty in their programming. Can it be improved, well everything can be improved. Nothing is in its final stages.

Yeah. At first glance, it's hard to deny the icons are pretty similar. They're even in a circled order format like the iWatch. Now, as for the rest... Yeah. I'm really digging the design as well. Looks pretty sharp other than what looks to be another rubber wrist band. Not sure how i feel about that one when the main part looks so elegant and classy. The specs seem to be the same as our current Gear S if I'm not mistaken. I was hoping they'd bring back the IR blaster. Loved that feature. I guess my main gripe is how they continue to keep you tied down to a Samsung phone to reap all the benefits just like Apple did. Wouldn't they sell more of these watches if you didn't have to be tethered to a Samsung device? Or no? Just asking your honest opinion that matter. I feel like they would but maybe not.

Very good points. I would have to agree. I have played around with the iWatch and was not impressed in the slightest. The main reference i guess i was making is how similar the icons looked to Apples. Not necessarily the entire UI. Like you, i also love rooting, flashing, installing new mods, etc which is why i will probably never leave Android. Lol. And im not saying by any means that Samsung isn't innovative in their own nor do they make crappy products. They have continued to impress for years with each new Galaxy device until the S5. (Which i really loved but i think that alot weren't very impressed when it came out). Then the S6 comes along completely redesigned and truly the slickest and sexiest smartphone I've ever held or seen. But like Apple, for some reason they decided to throw out the options for a removable battery and expanded storage. That ruins it for a lot of people i think. Samsung is still ahead of Apple in sales and i make damn sure to let my Apple loyal friends know about it. Lol. I don't hate Samsung at all. Just s bit disappointed i guess. I love their products which is why i keep buying them until now (speaking of my temporary G4 until i can find a good deal on a T-Mobile Note 4). I do understand Tizen is still young and there's plenty of potential to improve it. I just hope they're not trying to eventually use Tizen permanently in the near future and do away with Android. I'm not a big fan of Tizen, although i do like this new Tizen UI they have improved on. I guess my main issue is the fact the general population of people who want a Samsung Gear S or Gear S2 now will be forced to also own a Samsung phone to be able to take full advantage of the $350 watch, because most of them don't wanna be bothered or even afraid to root or mod their phones to work with a non Sammy device. I dunno. Just my opinion. It just feels to me they are going the direction and taking the same approach as Apple. I hope I'm wrong though.

Again, where in the iWatch are the icons arranged in a circle? From what I've seen, they're arranged in a honeycomb pattern. It's a mess.
As for similarity of the icons, the iWatch icons are similar to the Tizen icons, not the other way around. Tizen (and the original Gear S) had circular icons well before Apple released their device.

Like others are saying circle icons like that have been on android before the iWatch. I'd have to say though, that is a pretty irrelevant point. The question is, will Samsung do it better once again. It appears to be cleaned up, versus Apple's honeycomb (what were you thinking Apple). It's simpler, easier on the eyes and considerate of customers who struggle with lots of things cluttered together, not to mention easier to press the right one, not 5 of them haha. Similar yes, but still not a new type of icon.

On point. Let's drop the icon design. The iWatch is a complete mess. Navigating through it is like being lost in the Amazon forest without a compass or gps. They had to put a Smartwatch watch out as soon as they could as they were already late to the game. It's like they threw all that mess together in a day and tried to release it to the public as fast as possible. At least Samsung knows a clutter free and clean GUI will yield a much better user experience and ram management. Oh, and they didn't feel the need to make a version of it out of pure gold and sell it for $13-15k. You can't polish a turd no matter how hard you try.

Let's face it. Other than the name, Gear S2 has no direct relationship to Gear S as it lacks the standalone phone function that makes Gear S stand out. It's more of a successor to Gear 1/2/Neo. I do hope the new UIs and features can trickle down to Gear S as our current UI is boring and basic.
I guess I read wrong, I thought it had a cell radio. That makes it a disappointment. The standalone feature has become very useful for me

Ouch! My eyes, that's a big block of text!!
I do agree with a lot of what you are saying here (and in your original post). Samsung are not carbon copying Apple products as such. The hardware, especially the AMOLED screens and the cameras are far superior and they do innovate far more than any other OEM out there. But they are definitely following some of Apple's designs (which I am beginning to hate). The new S2 watch, rightly or wrongly, does immediately put you in mind of the Apple Watch.
I really don't like Apple products and I hate Apple as a company. I have a very loyal following of Samsung products for years and I like the fact they take on the mighty Apple inc. (Samsung are the biggest competitor to Apple and must be a thorn in their side!) But Samsung seem to be drifting away from being unique. They seem to think everyone wants an 'Apple-esque' product. I can see the Gear S2 is a far cry from the original Gear S watch, which is a shame. The beautiful curved immersive 2" screen is it's USP in my opinion. I believe they should be launching the S2 as a separate product and just given the original S a bit of a facelift.

If what we've seen so far of the S2 puts you in mind if the iWatch, that says a lot more about you than the S2. It in no way resembles the iWatch. Circle icons were on Tizen (and the original Gear S) well before the iWatch. Apple followed Samsung's lead on that one.
