How to disable auto focus on camera app? - Micromax A110

Hai..
It's been a very hard to get a better picture with the camera app on ICS & JB. Due to the auto focus feature, it ruins picture quality
Is their is any way to disable this feature (or) any app
I already tried Camera Zoom FX. But the size of the file is small and the picture is not good when zoomed
Pls tell me a solution....

Same issue
I have had that same problem... i hate the phone screen flipping around all the time but the only time i think its useful and worth the annoying accidental flips is when you are viewing pictures. Unfortunately, no there isn't a way to make it only work in the gallery.
Here's two workarounds:
There are home screen widgets that will let you quickly enable and disable the display rotation feature.
You can download any of the thousands of nice photo viewing apps from the market. Many of them have an option in there settings to make them stay in landscape mode.
the 8-6-AW superaosp ROM have this option ,so any one can do it?
thanks.

Easy way to rotate pictures?

I noticed that there doesnt seem to be a rotate clockwise/counter clockwise feature in the stock gallery. Clicking edit gives an option to open the image with PS Touch or Paper Artist. There should be an easy way to change image orientation, right?

Sv: Easy way to rotate pictures?
Right! In the stock gallery application, click menu (the three horizontal bars) and rotate image to the left or right. Or don't you have that setting avaliable?

This is a bit strange.
They dont have that feature when in the "screenshots" folder. I didnt bother checking the other folders before, as I thought they would all be the same.
I guess I can bypass that by just moving the pictures to a different folder but still not sure why its not available in that folder.

It turns out that screenshots can't be rotated no matter which folder you place it in.

So actually you can't from the gallery app but a way around it is if you use the Google Photos app, just edit it in there and then you can rotate a screenshot in this way. Not perfect, but a nice workaround.

Camera starts in landscape

Newbie here,
My camera app(stock) always starts in landscape no matter orientation of screen. Sometimes I have to shake the device to get portrait if it does not rotate by itself. Accelerometer appears to be fine because every other app behaves correctly.
Also video recorder stays in landscape only.
I have the problem since v.11.0.A.4.16. Upgrade to 11.0.A.4.27 didn't help.
Help please...

Under #System prop for using landscape preview layout in camera
I changed debug.camera.landscape=true to debug.camera.landscape=false
Rebooted. Didn't work.
:crying:
What about forcing it to be portrait all the time? Use xposed app settings.
