Galaxy relay 4g gets Official JB update the blaze should be next!? - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

"Jelly Bean now available for the Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G"
http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/androidcentral/~3/rqMSoC61OlU/story01.htm
Just thought that this might interest the Blazers
... That phone is just the blaze with a qwerty keyboard so it shouldn't be long and maybe their code might help development here for Cm 10.1

It's quite different than just the keyboard

The only thing better than our phone is the screen.... a lot of ppl say its really laggy the att version at least. We will see
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
Note is nice but I personally think its too big. I see it more of a business phone, not personal at all.
Yea it is big but my boss has the att one and its really nice and we all know T-Mobile is faster so who knows might have different specs just thought it was cool that we might be getting one

I had the note briefly and LOVED it, returned it cause there wasnt a stable modem/radio for us Tmo users...if this is true, im 100% back!!
Yay?

I still haven't had time to play with a Note yet, but its intriguing to say the least. It definitely looks a bit too large to use as an everyday phone but I'll give it a shot at least
You probably will be happier with the s3, it will be the next Gen phone.
Get the note if you need a tablet phone or high Res screen for more icons on the app drawer or something. I'm gonna wait for the s3 just because of the flagship and the proper balance of features and size and weight
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
If it comes to Tmo hopefully its the same but with an s4 processor
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
I'm really really really hope it's the Note! But, my next upgraded phone will be a toss up from the sgs3 or the note!
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
My uncle has the international version so I've had the opportunity to work on this device here and there. Using it daily really doesn't wind up feeling a ton bigger than the t989, only problems I've experienced are certain apps can't figure out if it's a tablet or a phone, so there's a fair amount of compatibility issues, but it's very slick.
But, and a big but, that phone is a Gen behind the s3

Most complete jellybean for nexus s 4g?

What's the most complete and stable 4.1? Surely all the devs can't be on the same talent level for the 4g

Yeah but I try to keep my nexus current. I only have the iPhone as a a style symbol and not having a a bunch of settings and things to flash really keeps me saving a lot of time in the day.
But yes, my white iOS iPhone 4 is my daily driver

Decided I'm waiting until GPS, superuser, native hotspot and mms are fixed on a rom. Deal breaker

NS4G Official CM10
That's the most complete JB rom for the 4G currently. Everything works...GPS, MMS, 4G, 3G, Wifi, SMS.
Sad thing is if your like me im locked into my phone and i dont have money to make it rain in the sprint store for a new phone.
Most of our great GREAT Devs are moved on to better things then to help the poor old ns4g.
They all went to the Galaxy Nexus forums because they have the phone.
Until we get the official OtA from Sprint, Its going to be a little slow.

Multi Window View?

Is there a way to get the galaxy note 2 multi window mode on the galaxy s3
I don't think so. Just the video playing while doing other stuff.

It might be possible since they both have similar touchwiz framework.

Oh I didn't know that. Do you think they might release it in a future update? Maybe JB?

Are the specs for it demanding? Don't see why not since it came in an update for that phone.
The S3 is more than capable of handling it IMHO.

I agree. If it does get it, official or by other means, then I'm switching to touchwiz

So is anyone even close to getting this to work? This working is the deciding factor on if I'm going to keep my s3 or get a note 2 when its released

i was just about to make about this weather or not it was coming to this phone .im very very interested in knowing if it will happen good thread hope it works out
I've been following the multi window feature very closely since the day the note 2 was released hoping for a port to the i535 but its really deep in the framework of touchwiz, personally I think we'll end up getting a 4.1.2 leak with multi window before someone ports it
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
So I'm pretty sure the galaxy S II has multi window! Wtf...

Platform and kernel source for Jellybean released (VRBLK3)

http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=i535
It's pretty much 98% the same as Sprint, but there are differences in the buildconfig.
Pro tip: Samsung is eager to give you sources once an OTA comes out. Don't bother doing FOSS requests for leaks.
Woot!

Not on a US model, it's been released on some international models though
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I wouldn't expect Premium Suite until March or something.
Will this help people developing AOSP ROMs like CM10.1 or AOKP or will this mostly be of help to TW ROM makers? Mainly asking as I am debating between keeping my Nexus or GS3 aand at this point I am leaning towards Nexus because CM10.1 runs better on it, but if this will help us maybe the GS3 will surpass the Nexus.
Looks like there might be a quicker fix coming for premium
http://www.android.gs/update-galaxy-s3-official-jelly-bean-4-1-2-xxell4-premium-suite/
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
That's for the international model which has completely different hardware.
No North American S3 can use that.
Porting is very impractical if not outright impossible. People have tried, it can't be done.
