Did you copy that zip file to exernal SD card and insert it in device?
Anyway you can use sideload feature:
1. In recovery choose "install zip" than "install zip from sideload". Your device will switch to sideload mode.
2. Connect usb cable to device.
3. On your pc use the following command:
adb sideload your-zip-file-location
Example: adb sideload c:\root. zip

Is there some news?
I've got a GT-S6810P with german T-Mobile branding.
Is there a way to root the phone, or even an update on Android 4.2.2?
EDIT: I think i found a way. http:/ /hexamob.com/how-to-root/srs-root-method/ With this, my GT-S6810P got completeley rooted. This software tries several ways to root the phone, till it's got one that works.

Rooting GT-S6810P
Hi all.
I rooted my gt-s6810p using MotoChopper. Here`s how it worked after a few attempts.
Make sure you use your main USB ports at the rear of your computer, as using front ports on some systems can cause errors.
Have the latest Samsung Kies or Samsung USB Driver Package installed on your system,
Enable USB Debugging mode in Developer Options on your phone and plug into your computer via USB cable,
Download MotoChopper,
Extract and open the MotoChopper download and locate "run batch",
Right click on "run batch" and select Run as Administrator,
Follow the instructions carefully until process completes,
After your phone reboots your phone should now be rooted and in your app tray you will have a SuperUser icon.
These are the exact steps i took to root my phone and it was the only method that worked after a few attempts trying other methods. When i first tried with MotoChopper it failed because i used my front USB ports on my computer. I plugged my phone into the main ports on the rear of my computer and MotoChopper went through the process without a hitch.
There are not many options for us with this model of phone right now as regards ROMS, Kernels etc, but hopefully some Devs will release some in the near future. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALL YOU DEVS OUT THERE. :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Meanwhile i`ve been playing with Corsicanus Rom and other stuff that can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48781728. The custom CWM Recovery is a must for this wee phone and will replace your stock recovery with something a lot better.
I`m new to Rooting and Roms and Kernels and all things android but i`m learning. Being an IT Tech/Systems Administrator has helped in the learning process.
I hope this helps all who own this model.
Good luck.:good::good::good:
not working for me is there a more recent way of doing this? I know my old My galaxy fame is out dated but it runs out of memory because of pre installed app updates. Very annoying you can't do what you want with it it's my phone [email protected](& you samsung!

To get s-off... Yes. To flash ROMs, no not technically, but there will be extra steps, so you're probably going to want to

* Kingo
* Baidu Root
* Ginger Break
* Flash su zip
* Use odin

Hello Team, I have bought Xolo Q610s in last December with Android 4.4.2, and now it is automatically updated to Android 5.0.
I am interested in rooting my device, I am following Xdadevelopers forum for past 5days and have not found any working solution for me.
I have tried all the listed software (for some of them I need to learn Chinese ) but none is working for me.
My phone can be recognised by almost every software now, but I could not root my device.
It only says "Oops! Root Failed".
If any one can help me with this I will be grateful.
Please do not suggest me to follow any old thread, as I already have done all possible ways discussed in this forum.
Thank You in advance for your reply!

Although the root is not completed, the device rebooted 3 times during the process showing that its doing something, but unfortunately it fails.
The error that I am getting for PIE is really interesting.
"The PIC is a body of machine code that, being placed somewhere in the primary memory, executes properly regardless of its absolute address.
PIE are executable binaries made entirely from position-independent code. PIE binaries are used in some security-focused Linux distributions to allow PaX or Exec Shield to use address space layout randomization to prevent attackers from knowing where existing executable code is during a security attack using exploits that rely on knowing the offset of the executable code in the binary." -- Wikipedia
Now I am not a Android App developer but a software developer indeed and understand what it means.
Now could any one help me on the issue, I believe the quoted text will help a little in understanding what exactly PIE is.
