An amazing weather application

Al right, first of all, I am not the developer or want to advertise this commercially, but you really have to check this out. Unfortunately it is not free, but the widget they have is simply perfect.
It's called Palmary Weather version 1.2 is just out and I was following them for a while, because I knew this version comes with widget.
this is a picture of FULL widget, it comes with different options, this is 4x4.
As you can see the below part change with nice information when you tap it.
It has 5 different information bars integrated in one widget which I think it is graphically stunning. I do admit I found the apk through google, and I will see the coming days if the information is accurate. When it is as accurate as it looks, I definately will buy it.

I agree, that IS beautiful indeed.
I do have one question though, can it detect the correct location via GPS/Cell Tower Info? I adore that functionality in Beautiful Widgets' weather widget.

Looks great! Do you know what weather services it uses ? Just want to know if i can use it in my city.

You can detect "my location" and it works.
I tested Bhubaneswar, it is now 26 degrees celsius there and a few clouds, further a shiny night it says. Correct?

Super nice weather application. I only have one problem.
Whenever I choose the full version widget, it dosen't show the hole number for the tempature reading (see picture below).
Any one know why???

Maybe you have a bigger font installed. Compared to my screens your font seems a bit larger, which means it needs more space. Its only a guess, but try to install another font for a while, just to rule this out...
Also my temperature start a bit higher comparing to your moon sign for some reason. Mine is at 4x4, yours too I think?. I just shouting some possible reasons, I am not sure of course....
I use adw laucher and have set 6 rows and 5 coloums....try that too... I am curious why yours is not showing the whole number....

Sense launcher

Anyone figure out a way to change the faves button on the right side of the launcher to something else? Contacts perhaps?

Sadly, no. But if you want that, I do have a suggestion. Make everyone in your contact list a fave. Then in the faves gallery, change the layout to list view and boom, you have a slightly less functional contacts app tied to that button!
If you haven't tried it, go into the faves gallery, click menu and "change view". You can make it a lot better than that weird flying tiles view it defaults to.

I think I read somewhere that you can only add up to 20 contacts in Faves.

You can download Launcher Pro, and change it to 5 customizable buttons on the bottom.

Yes im aware of the custom launchers, but thats not what I was trying to accomplish. I am happy with the sense launcher other than that 1 button.

The problem with custom launchers is that you lose the sense widgets. Which I would like to keep, mainly the calendar one.
I noticed adw was sluggish when browsing the app drawer. Is launcherpro similar?

Sure!
For one you need LauncherPro Plus, or ADW.
The live wallpaper is already in your phone, so switch to that.
Clock is done by Fancy Widget. Do a google search for the apk file. I used v1.30
You'll need a transparent icon. Follow this link, and do what the last comment says to get the icon. http://www.launcherpro.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4389
Below I've added the dock for you. Now get everything into your phone, and put them all together. It's really not that hard.
Oh, and I think you need LauncherPro "Plus" to make changes to the icons, but not 100% sure?

I find LP to run better than ADW, and you do keep your regular widgets plus you get some nice new ones if you pay for LauncherPro Plus.

Yea I just installed it and you lose access to sense widgets. Too bad launcherpro doesn't have an agenda based calendar widget.

yes they do click the upper right icon of the calender widget i believe and it changes it too look like the agenda widget.

Yes but you loose the Sense news and weather widget if you use LP. That sucks. You have no access to the Stock android news and weather widget either. So I am back to Espresso for now.

i found that launcherpro was smoother than the stock mysense launcher

Well that's good to know, I obviously don't own launcherpro+. I might invest in it then. Anyone know of a recent YouTube review that shows all features or is someone willing to make such a video?

Install the FREE launcher pro app and you can put anything you want there along with customizing almost everything on your phone! Did I mention its FREE?!?!?!

Post your screen shots of Launcher 7

I recently tried this launcher and quickly enjoyed the simplicity wp7 offers but don't want to go to wp7 phone any time soon.
Most of my icons are from the metro ui packs but didn't go with metro ui because the tiles look smaller while launcher 7 tiles take up the right amount of room on my screen.
For the live weather tile I use fancy widget pro you have two options for the weather widget and works well for me.
Update- launcher 7 now has landscape support which is good and much better live contact tile image updates.

Hahaha, I don't emphasize on wall papers so I just made my 1x1 tiles clear and so far it works well for me since i made my important apps tiles huge and keep most at the very bottom of my list.

FROIS 2 icons and random pictures I edited to match the color tone.

Anyone know a good looking analog clock widget that fits well on the 1x1 tile?

Like this one at the bottom.
Its the stock clock widget from cm7 just make sure you choose to cover whole tile with widget when choosing

Meh, that face is too plain. And the theme I'm running doesn't size the stock clock well. But thanks for the response.

No problem, I would check out the market for lite version clocks and see what works as long as they are similar in size there shouldn't be a problem. the dev is working on a way to crop images and widgets for tiles, hopefully it will come out soon

Thanks to this thread I tried this launcher. And I must say. I love it. I love the animations and the look of windows phone 7...

All you do is press the arrow to go to your app list, being there press and hold the app you want to be a tile, then you get to choose your tile size and picture. For pictures just look up metro ui icons in google/internet,ect and you set them and make the tile, hope it helps.

Just got done doing an hour's worth of PhotoShop, trying to throw a background together for the new DIZMAL launcher I'm making for anyone who has the Blu Kuban ROM.
This is a pre-alpha HD image. Designed at 441ppi and a resolution to match the GS4 screen. Feel free to use it for personal use if you'd like.
"DIZMAL BLUE" is the official color, loyally following the "blue" in Blu Kuban.

Oh yea. The only reason I released these images is because they're pre-alpha. The next step in PhotoShop is to design the home screen layout and map where buttons will go on the S4. It's gonna be sweet.
Not to mention that visuals are only one part of DIZMAL. I'm doing a lot of stuff with the app itself, including automation, custom windows, voice control, etc...

This is a mock up of what I'm going for. Definitely not the final design. For the first few versions the widget buttons will be embedded on the background as a single graphic. I use Buzz Launcher to control their actions.
When DIZMAL is released it will be an all-in-one minimalistic app that use Buzz Launcher functionality to completely replace your home screens.
DIZMAL ALPHA TEST SCREEN
Like I said, not sure if that's the style I'll end up with, but I like it so far.

You mean your just making your own homepack for Buzz Launcher to match BK? Because I dont see how thats an "all in one minimalistic app" haha!
Looks good though - definitely like changing my homepack almost daily lol.

Woah, cool your jets there, skippy.
If you had read AND interpreted my original post you would know I'm making both a custom homepack for Buzz Launcher as well as an app to go with it that includes custom menus, settings, etc. Buzz Launcher is awesome by itself for visuals, but I can only go so far with the functionality.
So when all is said and done I will be release the DIZMAL app + the Buzz Homepack.
I'm trying hard to make the app so you don't NEED the Homepack if you don't want it. But for the first couple releases I can almost guarantee that you'll have to use both of them together to get the best visuals and benefit.

Lol embarassing response there buddy I asked a question, no one attacked you.
I was asking a question for clarification - the way you wrote it and how I interperted it was that it was a homepack that you created WITH custom menus and etc - as in you did some magic with UCCW.
Key thing was that I interperted that DIZMAL as the name of the homepack. No need to lose it over a honest question.

Icon Pack 2
I'm making an icon pack, and figured I'd show what I've made thus far to you guys. I would have an apk at the ready, but constantly having trouble getting the hang of making an apk . For now I have a zip with the current icon, if you guys like them, can change icons on your homescreen to them that way for now. I also haven't figured out a name lol.​
If anyone has any suggestions, just let me know and I'll add them.
I am kinda slow at updating, I do construction and am normally BEAT by the end of the day, so I'm a bit slow. Sorry

Anyone have an helpful insight on making an apk? I've looked at text based tutorials, youtube based tutorials. Everytime I eventually get errors while following the steps exactly. I don't know if there are things when setting up Eclipse with ADT that need to be done, but I'm clueless lol.

I can make the installer but you would have to know where the "icons" are going to be pushed .

Any chance of hitting me up with a PM/Hangout/IRC or something. Maybe help me out a bit. I'm pretty tech savvy, use linux(Debian, but might be giving Crunchbang a go soon) as my OS, etc, so you wouldn't have to overkill explain lol. I'd like to learn that stuff myself, but like I said, constantly come into these errors even though I'm doing the tutorial step-by-step.
Even TeamSpeak would work out . Just, again, it'd be nicer to know myself lol. Then I wouldn't have to go to someone else/ 'rely' on someone else

What you guys think of the Play Books icon?
These icons are 512x512, btw, so they may look meh around the edges, but once they are shrunken down, they look really good.

OP updated with zip containing updated 'current' icons. More are in it

OP updated again with more icons in the zip. Now 1b. I don't know if this will be a permenant version scheme, but for now, it works lol.

Okay OP updated again, zip has even more icons. I'm not sure, but should have all the stock GAPP icons in it. If I've missed any, let me know. I'm gonna start working on random apps on the playstore, now. By random, I mean non-google lol like Whatsapp, Dead Trigger 2, etc etc.
If there is a game/app you want a custom icon for that isn't a very popular app, just let me know and I'll put it in a list to make.

No. Just unzip it, and use a custom launcher to change icons on your 'desktop' of the phone . It is the best I can do til I have an apk made.

Sorry I seem to have 'abandoned' my icon pack. I haven't, just been VERY busy working.
Anyways, I have been working on a second icon pack also and added a zip to the OP. Do let me know which one you guys prefer- 1 or 2
