Screen has died - Asus Transformer TF700

My TF700 is rooted and unlocked, purchased last September. Has been working fine, but the screen now will not come on. Tablet is working, as I can hook it up to my TV via HDMI and see it working.
What are my options here?

My HDMI out stopped working

It's Tuesday and up until Saturday I was able to connect my TF to my TV via the HDMI. However, as of today, it does not output audio or video to the tv. The sound and video remains on the tablet. This is while playing a movie and even Youtube. I don't have another micro hdmi cable to try, but I highly doubt my cable is damaged since I secured it after the last use. I tried shifting the cable about in case it had a short to see if anything would pop up - but nothing. I even tried a different hdmi port on the tv.
I tried rebooting both the tablet and tv, and also upgraded the firmware (had been postponing that ever since the update came out). I was also rooted before, but it was working fine.
Any ideas other than trying a new cable?
15 mins update:
I noticed with my cable connected to the tv - if I switch the tablet off and then on again (short press power button twice) the tv screen goes black and I can see a dull square outline on the tv. So I know the tablet like it is trying to do something. But still can't say if it's the cable or something else.
50 views and nobody with an idea?
in your case two way
factory reset
another cable or / and another screen

Turns out that my 15ft cable was bad . I bought a 6ft today and it works fine.

[Q] No HDMI output whatsoever

As we all know, since the new update to JellyBean 4.2 HDMI has been a problem. Before the update, I had minimal issues and HDMI worked perfect. After the update, HDMI output worked except no sound (like everyone else). A few months later, Asus finally put out a fix for this issue and my HDMI started to work again. 2-3 months later, my TF300 will not even output any picture or sound through HDMI. It was working fine on my Philips TV and then it just stopped one day. I've tried different TVs, new HDMI cord, factory reset, cold start, turning on and connecting the cord and TV in certain orders. Still nothing! I have enjoyed my tablet just this HDMI is a big problem. Anyone have a fix or heard of anything new to come from Asus? Please Help

When you connect the HDMI cable to the tablet do you get the HDMI notification? or you no longer get anything at this point?

The tv recognizes the HDMI input but when it switches over, there is no signal, no picture, nothing....The tablet use to give me a HDMI icon (when it worked) but not anymore.

Can you tell me which version you are currently on? If previous version were working better you can always go the Asus site and download older version.

I'm on 4.2.1 build 10.6.1.27.1 20130711
The weird part is before I updated to the newest build the HDMI worked then when I checked for a new update it stopped. I installed the new update and it hasn't worked since.

Broken screen - How to test if phone is functional?

Hey all
My Atrix 2 was runover by a car when it fell from my pocket into a parking lot. The digitizer cracked. When I try to turn on the phone, the LED light lights up and even the buttons light up but nothing comes up on the screen, nor does it make any sound. I tried calling my phone but it doesn't ring.
1) Is there any chance that the phone can be revived by changing the digitizer & screen?
2) How can I test if the rest of the phone is working?
3) I have never used the HDMI out of the phone. I'm thinking of ordering an hdmi cable to test it. But I'm not sure if upon connecting the hdmi cable the android OS asks for some settings to be changed to enable the hdmi output from software. Does it? Because if it does, then testing with the hdmi would be pointless as I cannot see and touch the screen to change any hdmi settings.
The phone is rooted and running stock AT&T ICS 4.04 ROM.
Thanks.

Hdmi will launch automatically if you are on stock firmware.............But i suggest you show your Phone to the service center coz the car
Running over it might have cracked other key components safer to send it to service center if your in warranty......
Or u can try replacing the digitizer just check out this video..........
