When you decided you didn't like Beats, or it didn't work, did you revert to your previous Nandroid backup before playing around with other audio management apps?
No that could be the cause might try a full wipe and reflash rom

Atm I am running the ARHD 6.1 (latest RUU) And the same problem that have haunted me since I started using the ICS ROM's is still here. No equalizers or sound managers are working. (I have tried DSP Manager(yes, ICS version)and alot of equalizers from the market.) The ones that's in the stock music player still work (beats etc.) But that seems to be it
Anyone else have this problem or a fix? Gonna flash a GB Rom untill it gets fixed, because music and camera is the most important to me ^^
Thanks
bump. Anyone?

ANSWER
Try; 1.do Superwipe
2. flash Android Revolution HD™ 6.2.1
3. Install DSP manager for ICS.
Enjoy
P.S. If you still got problems try to flash ARHD 6.2.1( without superwipe)
Hope this helps.

In my mind, it's not realy usefull to answer to a problem by "superwipe all and install This ROM"..
By the way, i had some problems with equalizer too. Try to download a player with a integrated EQ (n7player free for exemple). Maybe will it work better than external EQ.
At the moment, i'm using hyperNonSense and DSP donnot work too. If someone know the reason...
I know there are various miui music apk's out there, but I have not managed to find one which has the equilizer built in - this is the main reason I want it cos beats sounds ****! Also tried volume+ and that doesnt sound great either.
Does anyone know where I can get the apk, or could someone tell me if its possible to extract it from a MIUI build?
Im talking about the latest gingerbread version btw, not ics.
Thanks
just grab dsp manager and tweak use settings using that it makes it much better.

With some Sense ROMs I've flashed (Viper, being one example), my apps are automatically restored from the play store. Which is nice.
However, with the various AOSP/ AOKP/ CM ROMs I've tried (currently on Bruce's CM10, which is the balls btw), this doesn't happen?
Can anyone tell me why?
Cheers!
It will automatically restore if the market versions of your rom that you're about to install is the same as your old ones. This is based on my experience that is why I always look for vending.apk of my previous rom and put it on my new rom. It always work for me that way. Don't worry if your playstore version is older it will automatically updated to the latest after your rom is installed if your connected to internet. Another solution is to backup your playstore data before installing a new rom using titanium backup or my backup root. Much easier i think...

Thanks for that.
I use Ti Backup already, and you're right - it's very straight forward. I was just wondering why I updated from the store on some ROMs and not on others. Nice one!

Hello Friends,
If it is possible, Please generate a installation file for HTC pico Stock apps like Gapps.
because CM9 is The best Custom ROM i have ever used but some features are lacking like HTC SRS & dolby sound function, music player, weather live wallpaper, media player,
also wanted to suggest one thing, the DSP manager provides good effect but sound gets distorted at full volume.CM9 will be a (one man show) great rom if this function gets corrected.

Yup those are Sense based. I did read somewhere that they can be ported to CM based Rom, but are very buggy.
I want to try the port

Weather live wallpaper you can find loads on Play Store.
Apollo music player in cm rom's are great. Cm's inbuilt DSP Manager gives you great srs, dolby & multi equilizer effect. I loved them cuz its much efficient & better in quality.
In cm10 unofficial jellybean rom, i got such great srs effect in 60% volume that i couldn't hear anything else on the road.
You may also try Beats Audio tweak if you want to. I haven't used them, though.

Hey there,
is there a way to remove the beats audio drivers from the stock JB rom (3.16)?
I want to use a clean AC!D audio mod without the preinstalled beats audio drivers from HTC so I can experience the pure AC!D audio engine..
I don't think that deleting the beats.apk will help because there should be a few libs related to beats but I dont know which.
my fear is that the music will sound bad/overpowered by using two mods at the same time
Matey, have a look here.

the files listed in the list aren't in my system folders
So I guess you're on an AOSP or AOKP rom. Then it's either modified or simply not there.
For sense based roms it looks like this:
Freeze it in titanium back up?
What's so good about acid? I have it with no add ons seems the same to me

as mentioned in the op, I'm not sure if freezing the app is enough, because its related to libs etc.
ac!d is a sound improvement mod, I want to try it out, but without ruining my rom

The easiest, but most tedious way, would be to download the flashable Beats zip, search for it, then unzip it and compare it to your stock files, and delete the ones you see in you Beats zip that are in your stock files.
Best way is to unzip the Beats zip on a computer, and use a root explorer on your phone, to delete all of the files that match the Beats zip.

thanks for your answer.
But could it be possible that there files on the stock rom which are different named then the files from the zip?
so there are still there plus the files from the zip so I have two beats libs in my phone and my phone explooodes because of overpowered ultrabass (I like bass , but .. it should sound good)
