Hey developers, hi!!!
Always when I uploading or sending photos (via outlook or facebook), these photos appear two times in gallery.
Physically there aren't duplicated photos, it only happens in gallery app.
I've cleaned Sdcard cache, unmount sdcard, reboot phone, cleaned /cache and dalvik cache but these methods has no effect!!!
I hope that you help me, hahahahaha, it's a little ridiculous but it's really.
Thanks!!!!
Hi developers.... The solution to what I follow is to move the 100media folder to another folder (like downloads) , then refresh the gallery app....
Finally return the 100media folder to its dcim folder and refresh again the gallery app...
A simple solution heheheeheheh..... Cheers

My gallery is not scanning my gtab for pictures. I have pictures in a subfolder in the DCIM but it is not being recognized. Pictures taken by the camera are. They are all on the internal card. I tried clearing data and rebooting, but nothing. All of the pictures can be opened up via a file explorer.
How do I fix this?

Have yet to have this problem with my GTAB but when it happened with my N1 I deleted the cache folder for the Gallery:
Android/Data/Com.Cooliris.Media/Cache
Then Rebooted, this forced the OS to rebuild the Gallery thumbnails.
I'm not sure this is a good fix though.
Throw this in there, look up JustPictures!. I never liked the included galleries on any of my android devices.
After adding a .nomedia file to the Touchdown attachments folder I tried many things to try to get the Gallery to stop displaying these folders (in various combinations):
Rebooted
Wiped the data of the HtcMediaCacheService
Wiped the data of the Gallery app
Renamed the folder to one thing, opened the Gallery, renamed it back, opened the Gallery again. (As per this suggestion.)
I don't want to use the "Show/hide albums" feature because Every email with a picture attachment creates it's own album. Is there some way to solve this?
EDIT: After yet another reboot, they're finally not showing!
I have a samsung galaxy s4 which I just installed a micro sd card in to free up space on the device to upgrade to android lollipop. I moved all my photos to the sd card and now when I take a picture, the photo is automatically saved to the sd card (which is good). However, I use the picasa app which was pre-installed on the phone for organising my pictures, instead of the gallery app, as I want all the pictures to back up to google plus. The problem I'm now having is that deleting a picture in the picasa photo app does not delete the picture from the sd card! It deletes from the picasa gallery, from the stock gallery app and also from the auto backup album on google plus (which is what I want), the only thing is doesn't do is actually delete the picture from the sd card for some reason? When the photos were saved on the device it deleted the pictures from there but it doesn't seem to want to do the same thing with the sd card. This is annoying as I have to 1st delete the picture in the picasa photo app to get rid of it from the online back up album, and then go into files-all files-DCIM-camera, and then select the photo and delete it from there! Is it possible to have this sync properly again so I don't have to do this?!
Thanks
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Lets start by properly identifying your device, which variant of the S4 do you have please?
No response in two days, thread closed.
It's been some days that my phone's gallery gone crazy and all my thumbnails are wrong, when i open the photo it has the same thumbnail as the photo (example: thumbnail of me, i open it, picture of me) but the name of that picture is wrong in my gallery and when i send it via whatsapp, messenger... the picture the other person gets is the wrong one, i mean thumbnail and opened picture are the same but wrong ones, name and sent ones are the correct ones. I've copied my pictures on my pc and everything is fine, even with file explorer on my phone everything's ok, it's just my gallery. I tried to delete all app data, cache, the .thumbnail folder, used cleaning apps but nothing worked, is anything else i could do except from reseting my phone? Thanks in advance for replies.

Try updating the Gallery app from apkmirror.com
Might need to enable secure startup from settings then reboot the phone first if you get a package conflict error trying to install it
Hey all. I am having a strange bug on my phone. I use Google photos to view saved images from camera etc. I am using the Google camera port for Kirin. Whenever I take a photo with camera, after it backs up I cant delete it from storage. From what I have noticed this only happens with photos taken through the camera app. When I try to delete them either through stock gallery or Google photos I always get error can't delete from device storage. Using explorer also fails. Using ES puts them in the recycle bin and after that same. I discovered that if i move the photos from the default folder to anywhere else I can delete them. But as the camera save all of it's photo in folder, one being original and other portrait it's annoying to have so many empty folders. I have granted all permission. I can move them to recycle bin in ES but that also doesn't help. I am only facing the issue on custom ROM. I didn't face it on stock.
