I have found a solution that works for me - See below
Issue:
Starting with JB (4.2.X) , I noticed that my picasa web albums no longer show up in Gallery App. when I am on AOSP or CM based Roms. They do show up on Touchwiz based ROM (for e.g. Mohan)
Root Cause: After research I found that the root cause is CM team. They have made a decision that Picasa sync is proprietary and will not be supported CM10.X onwards. See Link
Alternatives:
Option 1 (Fail for me): Picasa Web albums show up in Google Photos. Install Google Plus and then "Sync Google Photos" will show up under Google account and that should get Picasa Web albums to display.
- For me that does not work. I don't know why but it just does not. I installed Google Plus. Photos did show up under account and sync was successful, but Gallery app did not show them. I tried changing Album visibility to public, I did a clear data and force stop of Gallery under apps - without any luck.
Option2 (Success): I downloaded Cool 3D Gallery app from PlayStore. It works!!!

There's a Picasa addon in the Slim Downloads. I assume you flash it and it enables Picasa album sync? Not entirely certain as I've never used it. Flash at your own risk, I suppose.

30 Seconds of looking. By the way, generally considered pretty uncool to ask the same question in multiple threads and bump more than once in a day.

Install and log in to Google plus. Go to settings->accounts and sync->Google
Tap your gmail address. This will show you a full list of which Google products are being synced. Turn on the sync for Google photos.

I'm not a photo fan, so it wasn't till two weeks ago I noticed the missing picasa albums. Since then I've been searching everyday for a solution. I've tried them all: Google+, older gapps, etc. Cool 3D Gallery does the trick for me. Thanks for sharing your solution. :good:
Not a SII user, but having the same issue with my Nook HD on CM10.1..
The app freezes my tablet, there is one that has the same icon called Customizable 3D Gallery, and that doesn't work either.
EDIT: FINALLY GOT IT! Found PicasaSync.zip, and flashed it and worked right away!

if we actually use a sense rom this app is the most useless thing we can have on our phone if there is no chat feature on it... i mean really... even the iphone facebook app have chat... how lazy are they to not implement it to android... i dont get it.

How does having a Sense ROM make this useless? Other than contact integration and image uploading, what the hell does Facebook for HTC Sense do?
The notifications don't work for comments. That sucks. There is a app called f-plus that will give you notifications and Go Chat will take care of the fb chat.
I am sick of having 3 apps on my phone for the job that one app should be able to do.
On top of all that my post through the "official app" are not posting on the news feed. If anyone can chime in on that it would be very helpful.
still no chat and still can't poke! Among other things..The bottom line is If I have to open my browser to do anything then its a FAIL! Why have an app if I just need to open my browser at some point..

you guys are trippin, the fact that I can reply to notifications within the app is all I need. facebook chat is a joke to me. B app for me for now. for an A app they will need instant notifications.

I tried downloading from the app store. It downloads completely and while installing it fails. It gives me an error saying it was unable to perform the install. I tried to uninstall the present version but the uninstall option is grayed out.
And also sometimes , the appstore takes a while to download. Sometimes I have to restart my fone in order for the phone to start downloading the apps.
Any help is appreciated.

im ok with no chat since i dont use it, love that i dont have to use browser to reply to notifications, now if i could only edit uploaded photos(rotate) i would be satisfied.
Hmmm I don't like the single-sign-on feature because now all apps will have access to my account by just using FB API? not so good...
Still needs small improvement but they're stepping it up.

It will be listed in the app's permissions. Don't go downloading apps that you don't want to access your Facebook account.

If you're rooted, use Titanium Backup to uninstall the system copy of Facebook, reboot, then download the Market version.

I went back to try using SlideScreen again but now I cannot view any facebook updates. It tries to display them (I assume a summary / single item) but then crashes. The full normal Facebook app is working fine.
Wouldn't mind going back to SlideScreen but this puts me off.
There's a bunch of stuff with this launcher that just doesn't work. Even if it works how it's supposed to, it's just not very intuitive. The concept is good, but the execution is horrible.
That's strange...it worked a year and a half ago. Maybe it needs an update?

Of course it doesn't work...
First: It's a DEAD APP. Shut down by the developers. So no, there won't be any updates.
Second, stuff is not working because other apps (such as Facebook) and your OS (Slidescreen was built for 2.2 Froyo) don't work the same and don't have the correct access points for SS to talk to.
Third: Google also changed and closed off access to key parts of some apps (Gmail, calendar, etc), which complicates or closes off information. This is what ultimately shut down the project...the app couldn't get info from the stock apps to do its thing.
Was an amazing concept before it's time, and would make the Android phone a serious WIN for many people I know and work with (which it IS NOT now). Until Google and Android re-open access and permissions, or a development team can handle trying to rebuild it with other apps in mind (Maildroid, K-9, Kaiten for example), then I'm afraid it's a dream.

Yes, and I for one am glad the previous poster added the clarification details, regardless of how old the thread is, since I was looking for SlideScreen TODAY (having been a couple years since the last time I used it).
Not sure where people get the idea that just because a thread hasn't seen activity in a while means something useful/helpful can't be added to it.

But, it wont show on my facebook apps.

I get timeline on my phone but not on my Galaxy Tab or Asus Transformer.
I am now running ParanoidAndroid and now get timeline on the P6210
Just switched from victory to lithium and there is no media gallery. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to download one from the market. Or if someone could post a link for a good gallery I could download! Thanks!

I don't use Facebook but I was having issues syncing Google music. Wifi wasn't working for me and the pattern lock was all messed up too.

You could extract a ROM and grab a gallery apk from that and copy it to /system/app folder. Just make sure and change to the correct permissions after you move it there.

I've no gallery either, and also the camera is giving me glitches. It seems like I can take pictures just fine, but am unable to record video. It force closes after every attempt. Pattern unlock is glitched for me as well.

I dont know how you guys feel, but no facebook sync or stock gallery means no good. I tried fixing it and after hours of work I decided to try out the Sonya v2
Sorry this was my fault, dont know how I missed the gallery, will have that fixed by tonight after work. Facebook has synced with me everytime and I'm not having any issues with google music as well. I use these everyday and are a must as well. Patternlock on the other hand is a different story. I will look into it.
A note on Facebook, if you are trying to add the account like you do your Google account you can't. Just use the app from the market. It works well and I have found it more reliable this way
Had the same problems setting up yahoo, fb and twit from add accounts.I ended up getting apps from market worked out fine.
This will b a great rom when u get the gallery work out.Been running it for about 24 hours now with pretty heavy use and battery is at 27 not bad at all.installed at 95

JRW, are you experiencing the camcorder issues or is that just me? Also I just wanna say great ROM otherwise.
Edit: Also is there a way that you could get Contacts sync from the Facebook app to work? I've seen other Android phones do that with a non-modified Facebook app; I think there's something involved with blur that tells the app not to give us that option.

Yes I am and I'm hoping it is due to me forgetting to install the gallery in the Rom as everything was working fine on my test version. I will have an update out tonight after work.
I removed a lot of the blur accounts have you tried using just the app from the market? It has been working for me

I am using the app from market and that works just fine; except that it doesn't offer contact sync (on a non-blur phone the Facebook app usually offers an option for contact sync...)

No it didn't have any probs. But I don't know what will happen if you direct browser to Facebook. (Most likely it will open in desktop mode). Anyhow I don't use Facebook
