Currently on slimbean 4.2.2. have gotten a few random reboots..not enough to make me change though. Video player doesnt work, kinda of a bummer. If you love your GPS and wifi, then stay off this one for a while. Battery life is great but he random reboots tend to kill it off prematurely,

Talking about SlimBean 4.2.2 or the 4cyl script? If you're talking about the base SlimBean... irrelevant to the usage of the 4cyl script.
Regarding the 4cyl, the 0.4.2 seems to be decent with the 1.4 NOS entropy script.

Is this still working well for you?

Yes,it's work fine ı dont have reboots and everything stable.I have 1500mAh battery and ı always have 3g, the battery life is %19 11 hour on battery.:good:

Working stable for me. Switched to using 4cyl (0.4.2) for standard bits and Crossbreeder for entropy/adblock, based on what people were saying in the thread. Which means installing 4cyl, running the entropy uninstaller, and then the CB install.
With mostly light usage, phone is at 78% battery after 5h41m57s. 16% Android OS, 13% Wi-fi, 12% Android System, 12% Cell standby, 9% Screen. So you can tell that it's still the JB battery burn due to GPS, but overall? Not too shabby. And I could save a bunch of battery if I wasn't lazy and left Wi-fi on all the time.

Good lookin

Battery Life after installing GingerBread on Inspire

Anyone who has installed the Gingerbread rom on their Inspire, have you noticed any difference in battery life. This is supposedly the main benefit to the upgrade. I want to wipe the Bloat ware off my system, but not install a rom unless it makes a huge difference. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated...
I am running inspired ace which runs gingerbread and battery life is great.

If you want the absolute best in battery life go with gingerbeast ROM...

+1 to inspired ace and much better battery life than stock.
Last time I went battery for awhile; See attached.
Granted 9 hours of that I was asleep as was the phone but the rest was me playing games, reading, downloading apps, browsing listening to music using stereo bluetooth.
Rom is in the Sig.
Gingerbeast does have awesome battery life. I reverted back to RCMix3D only cause I missed it, and I get about 10-18 hours out of my battery on that one.
+1 on the RCMix,, cant say its much longer,, but it is good for a 8 hr wrk day..
+1 for inspired ace rom - battery is great and so is the performance increase!

gingerbeast has been ridiculously awesome for me on battery life. with moderate to heavy use, i get 12-18 hours of use a day
I have used HoneySense and LeeDroid, I have found that LeeDroid's kernel MUCH better than both HoneySense and the stock when it comes to battery life. In the end, it all depends on what you want, when you want alot of bells and whistles on all the time, your battery life will suffer, if you are more minimalist, you battery life will be much better
So far I've been one of those 'bells and whistles' people, and even on VU1.27 which I assume is pretty efficient I only get 8-9hrs. Surprising the biggest user has been voice calls, which will suck the battery dry in 2-3hrs if you have a couple long conversations.

Gingerbread 21b

Just changed my phone over from Gingerbread 21a to Gingerbread 21b. This seems like a massive improvement over 21a. Much less hassle with data connections dropping out and a really good difference in battery life. I know I can't root it yet but to be honest the phones so much better I'm not that bothered.
Happy for now, Pete

Ive got rooted v21b. just a suggestion: If you try that rom above, install it on a rooted v21a based rom with CWM. Woala rooted v21b
But what is the battery life like on these 21a/21b hybrid roms? Some say rushdroid still has battery issues. I'm telling you straight the battery life on stock 21b is UNREAL. after 18 hours I've still got 40% charge left! I have not had to use a spare battery yet, that's amazing! I usually have to change batteries after 8-12 hours, but not now.

Actually I installed PowerMax + Fastreboot + SetCPU, and with moderate useage (all the time BT is on cuz of music listening) it lasts for ~27-30 hours incl. sleeping hours
In overall im pretty much satisfied with my current setup, but if you got an idea which would increase the performance (battery & system) its always welcome
Bertram
Over 36 hours from a single charge to 15% left "warning" with my usual amount of daily usage. I've never had better battery life from this phone. I have the display about 25% and "koi live wallpaper" running all the time. No app killers and no "battery saver" apps running. I do still get an occasional data "hang" and have to reboot but it is far less of a problem than it was on 21a. If you are getting a "your phone is on the latest software" message look at adixtras post in the android development section of this forum. He has the files, tools and info to load this onto your phone in the first post.

Terrible battery life help

Hey xda, Ive got this rarely used g2x. Don't even got a simcard for mainly using it for fun I guess but I am gonna get it in service soon. Thing is I am getting terrible battery life on all recent roms, eb gb and ics and Hellfire gb and ics, I got stock battery, even with kernals my battery's terrible, looking for reccomended roms and kernals and any tricks/mods to improve battery life, and remember this is even without any data usage and am still getting this amount of battery life.

Should I use Hellfire or eb gb, I've heard that eb is better but hellfire's gb was updated more recently, and which suggested kernal to go with it. I understand that it all depends in your phone but what in.your experience / opinion is the best combo.

The rom I'm using right now is Eaglesblood build 2.8 which is GB 2.3.7. I get pretty decent battery life just using the kernal that is built into it normally. I was having a few problems with HFP 2.1 so I switched to this and haven't looked back. Even though it isn't the most recent I still feel like its the best, just my opinion though.
I have got the best battery life so far with Eagles blood GB as well. HFS v1.5 is giving me ok battery life but EGB gave me double time as this ROM

Try them out, read the threads to see common issues and things that work well. Stop asking everyone here to do that little bit of work for you.
XDA is not your personal slave, we should not, and will not spoon feed you. Look around, spend more then 2 minutes looking at the first post. If you put in a good effort, people will be willing to help you, but just constantly asking for which ROM is just lazy.
You did not answer the question of whether you put the phone in airplane mode, you have not said any of the ROMs you've tried (other than all of them, which I doubt). At least pretend to give a ****...
Search!!!! there are tons of threads on how to increase battery life
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk
? I don't think you give a **** because if you read my post you would of known that I'd have tried eb ics and gb, and hellfire ics and gb rom, and i've actually spent hours reading pages in the roms topic and other places, and I forgot to answer that question, my answer is no I don't even have a simcard in the phone for it to be searching for service and enabling it would stop wifi which is what I do use.
You can put the phone into Airplane mode and then enable WiFi. Even though you don't have a Sim install it can still try to search for a network and drain the battery. It will need a network without a Sim to be able to call 911 if needed.

I don't think its necessarily the stock kernal. It's the one that is built in to Eaglesblood GB. Also try to follow this guide, it seemed to help my battery life. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054420 I did get around 30 hours on that charge but it varies quite a bit depending on usage. I always get a full day of moderate use though. Try switching to Eaglesblood GB and follow that guide to 20 hour battery life and see if it helps. If not, your battery could just be old/bad. Hope this helps!
Yeah i tried the eaglesblood rom and wasn't too impressed. Im sure that it was good for performance, however i immediately missed the customization with cm7 (adw launcher) and the themes that came with it. after i have flashed the faux123 kernel on here with cm7, im happy to say my battery life is incredible. i fished all day yesterday and listened to music while texting a bit and making a few phone calls. was out for about 10 hours and had only used 40% of my battery. so for anyone looking for a good cm7 kernel, the faux has been the best i have found yet

Yes I know this should be in apps and themes but everyone deserves to see this, especially us Tbolt guys.
This has been proven to be a placebo affect. I have tested it for almost 3 days now and it doesn't really help at all. Also someone mentioned in that forum it doesn't work properly with snapdragon processors because the rndg is different than others. If it does help at all I think it would help more for the lag that comes from not rebooting for a long period of time.

I have been using it with unsense and it hasn't really improved anything. No difference in performance without it either. Like I said it's a placebo caused by the fact that the tweak actually wakes your processor repeatedly which is why your phone seems to react better. You can use it if you like but it is really just a battery drainer. You can get the same performance increase by setting your governor on performance.

I ran it on nu sense and it drained my battery and noticed no improvement in speed. You see an increase because you want to see an increase. Its like throttle body spacers people puts on their cars. Suppose to improve performance and increase fuel mileage. They do no such thing but make a nice paper weight. People who had them swear they could feel an increase. One guy put his truck on a dyno and tested with it on and with it off. His results was with it on he lost a few hp. This is why butt dynos are so inaccurate because we make our selves believe we can see and feel a difference. When in fact there isn't.

Like I mentioned in my earlier post. It cause a wake lock on the processor making it wake repeatedly which is the likely reason that anyone notices anything. It in no way shape or form affects entropy which was the original intent of the app. Google has also stated that the very issue this is supposed to fix was actually fixed with the release of ICS. Try it on a gb rom and see if it actually works. Also, after you run it for a few days disable it and see if there is a decrease in performance. I've ran it for about three days and there is no difference without it running.

Best kernel for saving battery on 7.0?

I am on cm 10.1 and the battery isn't much different from stock. Also, the tab gets hotter than it did on stock. Any kernel that keeps the device cool and saves battery? I am willing to change ROMs if its CM's fault, but the ROM you suggest should be waaay better to convince me to change ROMs.
