I tried to S-On my sensation xe using adb and now its not working!!!
Help me.. Please
I cant turn it on even with holding the voulme down
Have you tried connecting it to the PC? Does the PC recognize it ?
Also did you run the RUU before doing S-ON?
I didn't run the RUU before trying to S-ON
But when I connect the phone to my pc I can hear a sound from my pc but nothing happens... please help me bro.. I wanna cry..
That is were you did something wrong, you had to run the RUU before doing S-ON.
You could download the RUU, and see if it detects your phone. If so then you could rescue your phone.
Im actually downloading this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327295
is it ok?
If not, Can you find me a suitable RUU for sensation xe?
Not really, can you remember what version your XE was in before you rooted it?
2.3.4? What do u mean?
The thing I just downloaded is not going to work?
Not that version. If you updated your phone fully then it should be : 1.73.401.4
But I am not sure, This is a very tricky situation you are in. I would say you should download the newest RUU for the XE, but I am not sure. Also the link is NOT correct.
Can you find the link for me please?
Also, If you have msn, please add me : [email protected]
I can't really as I don't know what version your phone was in before you rooted it. :/
I dont know what to do..
I dont have HTC in my country Israel
I bought this from a private company which cant do **** about it..
It costed me alot..
Im so screwed man.. Im stuck with my HD7 and Apple Peel 2 and my ****ty ipod 4 again.. **** MY LIFE
Maybe I should kill myself cuz im a retard
Press volume down + power button and see if it goes to at least hboot
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
Mine doesnt go into hboot anymore, I accidentally went to hboot 1.20.0000 (Didn't put it off my SD) and then it kept updating and now it just gets to the HTC screen and endlessly stays there
I had 1.18.0000 before.
Anyone knows how I can get it back?
I have a nandroid, is there any way I can backup through the pc?
Try removing the hboot image update file from your SD (put it USB adaptor). Can you get to cwm?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
yes leaving the .img file on your sd will result your hboot to update over and over until it is removed. First time I tried it, I panicked as I just gotten my phone for only a day then but now I'm confident that I won't brick my phone unless I intend to do so. If your phone works again, I suggest you don't S-On. I mean, come on?!
I got sensation also and i from israel.
Do u want my assistet?
If yes send me p.m ill give u my mail..
Hey
I just got a huge bootloop while attempting to flash new Venom Room to my HTC One X. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868236
I cannot access the recovery.. After restart (power button+volume down) i can get to bootloader section, but when i try to get into recovery, the phone just restart and stop on the white htc screen.
I already tried to reinstall recovery. Installation was successful, but the problem persists..
Before i had Incert Coins room.
The phone is unlocked, new recovery is installed
Please, help
If you had Insert Coin working on your phone, you have an international (Tegra3) version of the One X. This forum (and the Venom ROM you linked) are for the Snapdragon S3 version. Completely different hardware.
If I'm correct, you flashed a ROM for the wrong phone. Try running the RUU for your phone, but if that doesn't work you may be screwed. Recovery partitions are not the same for the versions. The ROM overwrote the recovery partition of your phone.
You are right.. It WAS the wrong rom.. I have tegra3 processor and this rom comes from american section..
But - is the RUU reinstall only one thing what i can do? I heard its dangerous

RUU just returns your phone to the stock condition. Stock ROM and stock recovery. There should be nothing dangerous about it. Just use the right one for your version, carrier, etc. But the CID check should ensure that you don't run the wrong RUU (if RUU is for a different CID, the RUU will not run).
Only thing with RUU, is that it wipes all user data. That may be why you heard its "dangerous". But in the condition you are in, this is not even a consideration anymore.
RUU is not dangerous, and it may be your only hope at this point.
You will need to lock your bootloader before running the RUU.
I've relocked bootloop. But now there is an information "RELOADED, Security Warning"
Will be safe to flash stock RUU now?

I'm assuming you meant relocked bootloader and now has security warning relocked if this what you meant then you are fine flash the ruu

ohh, its Relocked.. Im just a bit nervous right now hoping it will unbrick this phone..
Just 3min to complete RUU download.
Do U guys think this stock RUU will rewrite the partitions back?
I've noticed another problem.
Cannot load RUU because the battery level is lower then 30%.
But when i plug the charger the light doesnt flash. It starts to flash when i switch on the phone.
Also cannot switch the phone with the power button. It restart all the time. Only can do that from bootloader command "power down". But when the phone is off the power light doesnt flash..
Does it mean that the battery is not charging at all? Because the light can flash only because the power is low..
The phone shut down completly now.. Does not charge the battery at all.. Power gone off and i cannot even turn on the phone..
Is there any solution how to make it charge?
Ok, the problem is that the wrong ROM i tried to install changed partition and also it seems it destroyed Recovery..
Without recovery the phone cannot charge while being in bootloader mode...
Is there any way to make phone charging when Recovery doesnt work and cannot be flashed?
Please help
Take the phone apart. I mean all the way spart and hardwire a charger to the phone/ battery. Its a pain but you can do it.
Ohh..
I found a treat http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658084
There is a way to charge battery by running the script, which makes phone reinstalling constantly. Each time it is reinstalled, the battery is charged a little bit more.
After mayby 40min i went up from 3686 V to 3720 V.
It seems that my only hope is to reinstall RUU. I tried to flash wrong ROM, from wrong model and as one user wrote above, it has rewritten my partition. Same time it destroyed recovery.. I cannot flash recovery now because the partition is rewritten...
And without working recovery i cannot charge the battery being in bootloader.. If i understand it all correctly.
I already tried to install RUU with 3710 V. It started to install, but stopped after few min with information that battery is too low..
So i think ill leave this script running for a whole night, and hope, in the morning battery will be charged just enough to install RUU eventually..
Uff
Okey, finally its fixed..
After 7 hours of constant reinstalling the phone by the script, the battery was loaded enough to finish RUU instalation process.. (battery went to about 3830mV power)
After oryginal RUU was installed, everything went fine.
Now i already re-unlocked the bootloader, re-rooted the phone and all works correctly.
Thanks all people who helped. Mostly to redpoint73, who diagnosed the problem straight away and put me on the right track.
Amazingly impressive to me.
Thanks for following up with your success.

Your welcome, and no problem really. It was an easy problem to recognize, as I've seen it several times before on here.
Nice job getting the phone charged. Haven't seen that solution before.
Thanks people for not calling me a noob and not blaming for installing the wrong ROM. Even though it was a silly mistake..

All of a sudden one day I turned it on and it wouldnt go past the htc logo. It comes on, stays on the logo for a few seconds then reboots. I dont know what could have caused this but my friend had it for the day and when I got it back this started happening. I've tried turning the phone on without a simcard and memory card, fractory reseting and wiping the cache partition.
I am a newb but have gotten a reasonable amount of knowlege on android over the past 24 hours but so far none of the posts or information i've gotten on the internet has proven useful. Does anyone know of a solution or advice which may help me with booting to my os.
By the way I have an HTC sensation 4g on T-mobile
Not to sure of the version of android thou but I have a HBOOT of 1.18.

this same thing happened to me but i have the Sensation not the 4g .. but i'm sure you probably messed up in the firmware update bit .. as i remember that logo flash and restart all the time ..
follow this one, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472298
you've got to get any files concerning the firmware you had off your sd card before you try anything else ..

Need more details...
Stock?
Rooted?
S-on or s-off?
Custom recovery installed?
One thing is for sure, your phone isn't bricked and can be restored. The details of the device in the questions above are needed to determine exactly how to fix it though.
It sounds like your ROM got corrupted. (I can't even guess how) Ultimately you will be able to fix this by installing a new ROM. It's just a matter of figuring out what procedures you need to use based on your set up in order to do that.

It is stock, but i flashed it from gb to ics to try to resolve the problem. Rooted with htcdev, s-on. Also I installed CWM after it began to do that. I flashed a new hboot but that solved nothing, the next day it got worse and wouldn't even turn on.

you should used revolutionary.io method to S-OFF easily your device with that hboot version
that means that you have GB firmware and an ICS rom can't run in that fw version
while your are S-ON you should have installed 4ext recovery, enable smartflash from it and then flash a GB rom
after that you said you flashed a new hboot
i am not sure if you can do that as your are S-ON
and the result is not even turning on!
it seems to me that your device is bricked
use the unbricking project from dev section
edit:can you still enter to bootloader?

from fastboot connect your device into the pc
go to the folder where you have adb and fastboot files
open a command window there and do
fastboot getvar version-main
i assume you have 3.32.or3.33 firmware but do it
if yes then from this thread do step 2

after that enable smartflash from recovery and flash an ics rom

im in need of a thourough stepo by step instruction on how to fix this thing i dont care if its by means of a custom rom stock rom whatevers easiest. i know how to utilize fastboot with instruction and ive changed back and forth between cwm and twrp but no matter how many tuts i follow i always end up in a loop and im not sure why again i apologize for being such a noob but ive come to realize that this forum is the best at fixing stupid problems like mine fairly quickly
thanks in advance for your help....
Alright, is there a custom recovery installed on it? Go to recovery from bootloader menu and it it says TWRP or CWM then there is.
Edit: Also, I'm assuming you have no knowledge of adb and fastboot commands? Because you might need to learn. And did you try this ruu? It's for your firmware version. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1814217

Alright, so I'm assuming the problem is there is no ROM on the phone or someone did factory reset in bootloader. So if the ruu helps, great (it should). If not, then I'm sure we'll figure it out.
thats what ive been assuming as well im really hoping this works out and i do appreciate the help ive been trying to figure out for hours how to find the correct ruu that i need.
now just to be clear there isnt any kind of preperation or anything for this right? im just going to go into the bootloader and make sure the usb is connected and recognized and the open the file on my pc and let it do its thing...
i got about 20 minutes left on this download (my internet connection is poop out here) and ill let you know how it works out
thanks again :good:

Yup. Since you're on an older hboot there's no preparation needed. I'm assuming you don't really want to get into all this rooting stuff and just want a working phone? If you want help with rooting, come back here when the ruu is done, but if you like it stock, then you should be good to go

I've got HBOOT 1.27.0000 so I had no choice but to use the ControlBear method.
The virtual Machine doesn't work on my computer, so I was forced to search for the windows files.
I couldn't find any for the HTC Sensation, but I found one for the Evo 3d.(I have less than 10 posts, so I can't give you guys the link.)
So you can guess what I did. I downloaded the linux files for my HTC Sensation from unlimited.IO site.
And I also downloaded the files for the Evo3D.
Then I extracted both of them.
I replaced the jb_boot.img file and ControlBear.exe. (Not jb_boot.zip) Without the jb_boot.img ControlBear gives an error.
After that I conected my phone, ran ControlBear.exe.
It found my device and did its job(not really), and my phone had to restart. But it keeps on restarting.
All what ControlBear says is trying to reconnect to my phone.
I didn't come to the point where I have to do the "Wire-Trick". The ControlBear logo didn't even show up on my HTC.
I still can launch the menu when I hold the Volume Down+ Power button.
It's not S-Off though, but that was to be expected.
Additional Information:
My HTC Sensation is S-On.
Usb Debugging settings is enabled.
I used the temp-root.batch (it worked)
I did the bootloader thing.
I already turned once my HTC Sensation S-Off, but then with the revolutionary tool.
I had to turn S-On because of the warranty (that also worked).
Sorry for this mistake guys, I know it's stupid.
I'd greatly appreciate it if you help me.
Thank you for your time.
EDIT:
I've fixed it now!
I want to thank you all for your help and contribution, each one of you!

The stock one?
I think I already have the stock RUU.
My CID is VODAPE17, and my MID is PG5813000.

A little off topic; but why was the windows one taken down?

it says that the utility can't update the android phone. Get the right RUU and try again?
RUU_Pyramid_Vodafone_FR_1.27.163.1_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_10.11.9007.15_M_release_191976_signed and RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M_release_246089_signed don't work either...

It made a back-up etc.
But here's the problem again..
After it found his fourth bear my HTC restarted.
After that, it is stuck in a boot loop again...
I've unplugged my phone and plugged back it, but it's still in a boot loop.
I've relocked my HTC, and I'm installing the RUU again..

I had to type fastboot oem lock.
So i've installed this RUU:
My HTC booted nice and worked again.
I've UNLOCKED my HTC with the Unlock_Code.bin from HTCdev(my own code)>
I've used temp-root, and ran ControlBear.exe ( THIS time I got the right one, from a known contributor on this forum)
Any help guys?
I'm kinda getting desperate...

what version of controlbear do you have?
the that requires htcdev unlock or the nohtcdev one?
Google kgs utility sensation, you still need the ControlBearRelease_pyramid_ICS_WIN_NOHTCDEV.zip zip unless you plan to go HTC dev route but there's both option in the utility(u choose) phone will reboot many times during this, just let it, it's not a 2 minute process, more like 15 or 20minutes

So you're saying that I should unlock my HTC but not with the HTC DEV thing?
Or is my phone not requiered to be UNLOCKED for ControlBearRelease_pyramid_ICS_WIN_NOHTCDEV.zip
Or do I just have to let my phone reboot for 10-15 minutes, with USB plugged on?

if your bootloader is unlocked then use the ControlBearRelease_pyramid_ICS_WIN
if your bootloader is locked then use the ControlBearRelease_pyramid_ICS_WIN_NOHTCDEV.zip

I've unlocked my bootloade already with the Unlock_Code.bin from htc.
I've used ControlBearRelease_pyramid_ICS_WIN.
Like I said, my HTC gets stuck in a boot loop
