Thanks for your help, really(!).
I'm sorry, but I have to agree with djisgod on this. It is easy enough to read the forum and the development threads to see what the status of the various ROMs is and the issues that people are or are not having with those ROMs.
There are already more than enough threads about this and until such time as we have a stable ROM it is a fairly futile discussion.
I think you will die when you answer my question.
I remain in between Primo-S and CoolDroid. CoolDroid seems better.

I'm a noob about this stuff so I want help but you are undermining my topic in place of helping me. I cannot understand you why you are behaving like this.
I am using vitreous primadonna and it is stable enough for me
Prox's primo is also very good
Swyped from my Desire S waiting for Kernel 3, WAKE UP HTC
I'd definitely say Primo S. It's the best ICS rom IMO as well as the best sense 4 rom. Once we get a decent kernel; That being official 3.0 kernel or nexx's port of the one V it will run like clockwork!
I'm new here, so I was not able to post this in the development forum. My apologies!
I am looking for feedback as to which custom roms afford the greatest stability with the most features. I have an HTC One S that I intend to root. Please share your experiences with me, and many thanks!

You should be glad that you posted in here and not development. You would have likely gotten flamed and banned if this was posted in the dev section.
Onward to your question. The ROM you choose depends on your likes. If you prefer stock "sense" look or the native android look. There have been 100s of these types of posts. Do some research.
Some Sense-based Roms is: maximuS, ViperOne S, TrickDroid, AxiomS......
Depends on what you like sense based, CM10, miui? I stick with CM10 for the smoothness

Look, There is no "best ROM"... What I think is the best ROM is the ROM that works best for me, but that doesnt mean that that ROM will work best for you because everyone uses their phone in different ways. My suggestion would be to try out a few ROMs then pick which you think is the best, not what anyone tells you is the best - its far too subjective for that sort of thing.
For me it's Viper S, although this question should not be asked. By making questions like this you don't show appreciatio for the devs work
Tnx

I'm just wondering..does the viper s has ota update..?
You are limiting yourself if you don't try out several different roms and see what's available, see what fits your need best. To find that out you must experience for yourself the different roms. Then and only then will you truly know what's your favorite. This is the fun part, the experiments. I hope you take my advice and try several before you make any decision. I wish you the best. Don't sell yourself short, try out many different roms, then decide which is best for your daily rom. Good luck and have fun!

Chill dude..i just rooted my phone..so far ive installed cyanogen 9.1 and dark sense...tnx for the advice anyway¦)
Hello guys, I kinda have the same question so I write here too.
I got this phone from few days and I first installed the cyanogenmod 10 (nightly build of 21 dec). I have to say that I really like it.
After that I saw that there are some mods (I think?) of the cyanogen, like codename Lungo.
Can somebody explain briefly the differences of these roms with the base cyanogenmod?

Hey Markey ,
Can you tell me your kernel ' s Frequencies Voltage table ?
And thank for you effort , And can you make an non-UnderVolted version for people have sudden reboots ?
Hey mate, nice to see a 4.2 kernel
I'll update my github in a few days, when schools will be a bit more "relaxed" (1-3 days). I'll try to fix the Governors and scheduler (SIO & AC caused boot-stop on 2.6.35 :/ - but I'm sure it is easy to fix
Greets and have fun with Kernel-stuff, it is really nice and not really hard
It's great that you are enthusiastic and all but maybe you could've waited before releasing it? It would've been best if you had waiting for a stable release as a custom kernel will just make things worse. If any problems occur, it's going to be annoying to differentiate whether it is your kernel, my kernel or the ROM.
Congrats on the release though .

Yes i know but i just wanted to show my tests and give the users the possibility to test a custom CM10.1 kernel. There are many users that want to test alpha builds.
I know that its more difficult now but i hadn't thought about this when i have released my kernel. Sorry for that. But you could send me a link via PM to your source code that i can have a look at it and help you with solving bugs in your kernel, my kernel and the ROM. Also i will work as much as i can with solving bugs in my kernel and your ROM in the next few days and weeks and will provide you my results when i solved something. Hope we all get CM10.1 as fast as possible fully working. :good:
Would be great when we 2 can work closely together and with some others.
Thanks for your work on CM10.1 and everything you've done for our device.

Hello all,
I am planning to change my kernel. But I am confused as to with what kernel I settle down. So seeking help of you community members.
I prefer kernel which has a nice performance and great battery life and that can work with majority of Roms including MIUI.
I heard that marmite latest version 7.3 is not stable. So if you suggest marmite then also please mention which version I download.
I am running on JB stock atm.
Thank you for reading.

if you got 5 people to respond you would get 5 different answers
you would still need to use the search function
[available on every page...] to find and READ information about each one
every phone is a little different in the way the hardware responds
no two folks use their phone the same
what works perfect for me might make your device reboot continuously
the short answer is that only you can determine what works best for you and your phone
stop trying to avoid the effort needed to expand your knowledge
use the search engine
I am not avoiding. I am just new to kernels hence asking. I did study a bit about kernels available. But asking as I don't want to miss out any good kernel.
Try out marmite, matrix, and air kernel.
