I have been trying to install CM10 / CM10.1 nightly on my ASUS Transformer TF300T (0b05:4d03). I have TWRP 2.5.0.0 installed. I have CM10 w/ gapps 20121011-signed.zip, CM 10.1.20130417 w/ gapps 20130301-sign.zip, and the JB_kernel_10_4_2_20 w/ gapps 20121212-signed.zip on an external SD card.
I click install and load the two zips into the queue, it runs and exits with successful. When I reboot it loads the ASUS logo with a blue load bar, restarts without the bar and hangs.
I had previously tried to do this CWM 5.5.0.4 and did a backup (which won't reload).
I am currently at a loss at what to try now.

What is your current bootloader or firmware version. Had you updated to android 4.2.1 before flashing recovery and what version of twrp are u using. The more information on how you got to this point the better.
I had updated to 10.6.1.18. But was unable to get CM10/10.1 to install. I rolled back to 10.4.2.20 with TWRP 2.5.0.0 and successfully got CM10.0.0 to install.
I'm not sure why I couldn't get CM10.1 to install, I had TWRP 2.4.4.0-42 on 10.6.1.18, but couldn't get TWRP or CWM (6.0.2.3) to mount the filesystems.

CM10.1 hasn't been updated to the 4.2 bootloader. Now that you're back on the 4.1 bootloader, it should flash fine.

Hi,
I was wondering if you just flashed with fastboot the blob file as I am gettin an error and cannot upgrade to JB.
Is this the only way for it though?

Best and thank you very much (using WW version),
Blubberor
P.S.: As CM10 is switched to JB bootloader, I and a lot of others need to upgrade...
look here
I was using CM10 on the ICS bootloader. I downloaded the most recent JB update from Asus to my pc and unzipped once. I copied that zip to my internal memory. Booted into recovery. Using TWRP, I wiped cache, dalvik, system, factory reset. Then installed the Asus zip. Voila, updated to the JB bootloader. I then downloaded twrp 2.3.1 for JB bootloader to my pc and put it with my adb/fastbbot files. Rebooted into fastboot and installed TWRP. Rebooted into recovery, made a backup and installed CM10 10/31/12 nightly for JB.

Maybe I am too stupud but
I have a TF300TG
I ejected my micro sd card so format should not matter.
I still get Error7.
If I edit updater-script it just failes instantly.
I am using TWRP ICS recovery for TF300T but this should not matter as well??
Can someone with a TF300TG can give me a hint how to update?
Best,

I am having problems flashing Clean Inheritance Rom 4.1 and I believe my TWRP 2.4.4.0 may be the problem because it seems corrupted.
I followed the instructions on this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187982
So far I have been able to flash the patched twrp 2.4.4.0 and install the Asus stock 4.2.1 but every time I try to flash CROM 4.1 twrp will initiate updating partition and then it will just restart w/o warning to its home screen. I think that my twrp may be corrupted but i have used fastboot to repush the twrp multiple times and the asus stock 4.2.1 multiple times but this is not solving my issue. I see that fastboot has a erase command and wanted to know if i would use that to erase the recovery img completely and then try flashing twrp again to see if this resolves the issue or will the erase command brick my device? Also do I need to have my stock kernel for the CROM 4.1 to work? I am attaching screenshot of my tablet info, please let me know if more info is needed or if i need to upload a video of what is going on thanks.
have you redownloaded twrp mate it might have been a dodgy download or maybe a bad download of cromi, or you could try installing cromi 4.0 first

Thanks robgee for the response, I have tried downloading the twrp patch and crom 4.0 and 4.1 but I am still having the same issue. Is there a way to flash CROM 4.1 without using twrp?
Hi Williams,
I'm also facing the same as you, and still searching for an answer. Tried flashing the SuperSU patch and my tablet is still not rooted.
Running the WW version. Wonder if anyone can help us....
What OS are you using?

Update! bump please help someone
I am still having issues installing clean rom 4.1 but I noticed that if I keep selecting to flash the CROM 4.1 or 4.0 rom it will eventually initiate and let me choose the options and actually start flashing but once it says it is complete and i reboot it does not boot CROM just gets stuck at the asus boot screen. Then i must use fastboot to flash the stock android 4.2.1 to get the thing up and running and then twrp pretty much breaks after i use fastboot to flash teh android 4.2.1 blob file so I have to reflash the patched 2.4.4.0 again. I really do think the problem is with twrp because ever since this new 2.4.4.0 update i have been having issues i remember before twrp was a great utility but now it seems like it is a nightmare is there a way from me to try flashing crom 4.1 with clockwork mod yet?

I was able to flash SuperSU as well
I was able to flash SuperSU and it was confirmed rooted with root checker. I still don't know why CleanROM will not work I have downloaded the ROM multiple times but it just refuses to flash is there something else I need to check in order to flash the rom or is TWRP partially broken where it can only flash very small simple files but not a complete custom rom?
I just downloaded the energy rom and tried to flash it do my device and ended up having the same issue. It says the rom has been flashed and completes but after reboot it is just stuck on Asus bootscreen and never boots into the OS. What the hell is going on
I think my bootloader is somehow screwed up because it can't boot any custom roms it can only boot the asus stock 4.2.1 when i flash the blob file using fastboot. Did i miss a step or something to allow the bootloader to boot custom roms
I don't know if it makes a difference but I used the ww version so it might be worth trying that but not sure how much difference it will make but you never know

So I was able to use the patched twrp 2.4.4.0 to flash energy rom custom stock rom after 2 attempts so now I finally have a custom rom on my tablet but I really want clean rom because I like that version more. I will try to reflash clean rom later and let you know how it goes.

i have a TF300t upgraded to stock 4.2.1 with bootloader unlocked, with twrp 2.4.4.0 rooted, trying to install the cleanRom 3.4.6, successfully installed but was not able to boot (stuck on boot screen), i read on another thread that it is due to the bootloader of the 4.2.1 is not going to work with the rom. is it that if i install the CROMi-Xenogenesis 4.3b4 ROM then it should boot fine?
Yes mate you need to use cromi-x on that bootloader

I did exact the same thing, installed cromi-x (without the patched kernel option), install successful, but it sill doesn't boot.

Hey guys. I unlocked my tf700 and now it's on CleanROM3.4.7 with that6 kernel and data2sd. Everything worked fine for a long time. But last night when I was checking email, it just suddenly turned to a white screen and I had no choice but reboot it. It just cant boot into system anymore. I tried flash the rom zip again in the CWM recovery, but it was still stuck at the first bootscreen. How can I fix this?

You are probably going to have to do a full wipe to get it back going. Or a nandroid backup if you got one. Sounds to me the ROM and your data is corrupted. Also make sure your Recovery, boot loader, and ROM are up to date and compatible with eachother to prevent issues. Just a fyi.

I am not sure how CWM works but a wipe of your internal storage including ROM and data partition.. Make sure you dont wipe your roms, also make sure you have compatible CWM and boot loader which I expect that it already is.

That's expected -- the Android secure partition is not in use. Just pick "Wipe data/Factory reset, and "Format /system" from the menus and reflash your ROM.

did as you told, but it still doesn't work, now it continues rebooting itself at the first bootscreen.
sd card corruption?
What happens if you boot without the sd card in? Might need to flash the rom again as you'll no longer have a working data2sd card solution obviously.

Are you still able to boot in CWM recovery? If yes, just install an Original Asus firmware (4.1.1 or 4.1.2,you choose) and after the install process it's done and your new firmware it's installed go to the bootloader screen (power+volume down) and choose Wipe Data.
Imho when you wiped the internal storage from CWM your partition got messed up and this is the easiest way to recover. I discovered this CWM bug a few days ago and i already reported to dasunsrule32 so i'm sure that he will investigate asap. In the meantime you can use CWM recovery just fine but don't use it to wipe internal storage (i think the issue arise after running "wipe data and data/media" option).

Thanks for the help. Already recovered after wiped and reflashed the rom.
I seem to be unable to flash over my current recovery, TWRP 2.6.0.0. I tried to flash CWM through ROM Manager and through EZ recovery and while both said they were successful I am still on TWRP. In fact, I distinctly remember flashing TWRP 2.6.1.0 last week and I still seem to be on 2.6.0.0. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I am currently rooted, bootloader unlocked, and running mastamoon's CM 10.3 unofficial. Thanks.
Don't flash it through Rom manager. It don't work. Flash it through Odin

Nope, no dice. TWRP refuses to go away for some reason. I managed to update it through goomanager, but flashing anything other than TWRP just won't work. :/
