This is running very well great job!

I downloaded because of the 1st thing, battery life. My friend you wasn't lying. Great job.

are gapps included as well?

cant download any add-on...
" Fatal error: Call to a member function prepare() on a non-object in /home/afh/public_html/libs/classes/Stats.php on line 112"
but ROM looks nice for now - lets see what my battery is saying after the night...:fingers-crossed:

Been using this for couples hours and everything is solid and smooth, battery are very good. great rom .

Download links appear to be offline right now.
EDIT: Everything seems to be good now. Going to download and flash!

Yes, a Stripped down version of gapps is included.

I can't get this rom to work with any of the kernels for aokp, anyone got that working?
Edit: Saw it was based on CM, shouldn't make a difference or am I wrong? If so, are there any custom kernels that will work? I'm getting really annoyed by the screen tear, although I've disabled HW-overlay etc. Great rom btw!

How does the battery compare to CM? Is it slightly better, moderately, significantly..etc?

for me battery-life is way better than normal CM 10.1...
min 192

thumps up! great rom!

Screen tearing fix included?
And i hope the battery life is good, because on CM the battery life is bad

I haven't seen any tearing yet. The battery life is very good.
Sent from my One S using xda premium

When i am going trough the menu, you can see the screen tearing..
I will flash bubba kernel! To test if the screen tearing is gone.

I dirty flashed this over CM 10.1, I can't really see much difference in the battery life though. But I'll see how it proceeds through the day.
Btw using the boot.img from yoursong's tearing fixed CM10.1 build from 14th April and it works fine. Can anyone confirm the original kernel version that is included in this ROM?

I´ve installed the rom at this moment. I´ll give it a try. I love lightweight rom´s like slimbean. The problem which I have with the most rom´s for the one s is that they don´t get many updates.
Which benefit does I have with 10 roms when every of these 10 roms have bugs and a short live until new roms will be published. This is my opinion, I hope that I don´t hurt something. I´ll respect each developer and rom porters and would like to thank each of you for the hard work.

Is it possible that we get a version for HTC One S with older Snapdragon S3 processor?

Whats the difference between this and Bruces. Like your changes scripts tweaks mods? Thanks in advance.
EDIT** I also notice you have a pyramid package as well as a add on package. Whats the difference. Seems as if the add on package its self is a rom. am I missing something here? Seems as if this is a little redundant, No?

Nice Rom,
I have installed this and it is verry fast and battery friendly
But time to time I had a little lag.
But all other runs great
Thanks for your good work!
Edit: can do you recommend an other kernel like Franco or m-kernel?
No lag here... What kind of battery life are you getting? Is it really that much better than the others?

how could this thread be so dead??? This is by far the best rom for Nexus 7 as far as performance and battery life goes. I use this rom with Franco's kernel and I get over seven and a half hours of screen on time.
I also use this from on my HTC One S and has never turned me down

And what Gapps should I use Gapps for the 10.2 (4.3) build? I guess not the 4.2.2 zip?

I have it installed and like it so far, except for the boot animation. I don't think it does this otherwise awesome ROM justice.
By the way, it says longer battery life. Is it long enough not to need a battery saving kernel?
Thanks!

[Q] Best custom ROM for S2+?

I want to know what custom ROM I could use the best on my S2 Plus (i9105P)?
I want a stable and good performance ROM and with some features of course.
Currently I'm on Resurrection Remix v5.1.5 and I like the ROM so far but I want to know if there is a better, newer and maybe more stable ROM for my phone.
And if some of you think a ROM is better then Resurrection Remix also explain to me the difference between that ROM and Resurrection Remix.
Like what's better about it? Are there more features? Will I lose some stuff?
I like to test some ROM's but my S2 Plus is a phone that I daily use a lot so I need a stable ROM for it.

I use RR rom atm too. Maybe cyanogenmod M7 can be good rom. Heard about performance profiles. Also PAC-rom can be good too. PAC man is mix three of most popular roms: Paranoid android, Aopk(android open cource kang) and Cyanogenmod. So features gonna be rich.

About CM11 M7: Can you explain to me what performance profiles are exactly? And what are the difference in performance?
About PAC-man: I see it is still in beta so is it stable? And what features do I have more then on RR and what features will I miss? And what about the performance ?
If I were you I'd make a little list of the features I use and the ones I absolutely need, and maybe the ones I would like to have. Then I would take a look through the different ROMs for our phone (they're not that many to be honest) and try out the promising ones. If you don't have the time, post the list here and we'd be able to help you out more easily.
Personally, I'm still switching ROMs around on my phone. Compatibility with a good kernel is a must for me (I use nebula). My musts are a black/dark UI toggle, lockscreen shortcuts, customizable quick settings, notifications and recent apps menu + statusbar traffic monitor. Things that I could otherwise do using Xposed Framework such as custom animations, progress bars etc. are just bonuses. Those things are found in pretty much every ROM so all that remains is a question of finding the lightest and most stable one.
Currently I've got my money on Dirty Unicorns - even for an early, unofficial build, it's pretty stable while offering everything I need. It's smooth and responsive, plus it's feature-rich - it offers pretty much what everybody else also has and allowed me to easily experiment with features I hadn't used before. This helped me find out what I want and what I don't want in a custom ROM.
Hi
Where I can find a custom rom list for our device?

[Discussion] VanirAOSP 6.0.1 Samsung Galaxy S4 [JFLTE]

Hello everyone,
I have been on a search for a regularily updated ROM based on AOSP. Since Marshmallow, I found most ROMs for the S4 have been based on CM.
By accident, I stumbled upon VanirAOSP.
I wanted to start a discussion about the latest nigtlies for VanirAOSP as there is no discussion in relation to the S4. I found this thread but it is very much out dated:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485089
Let me know what you think!
For me it is very stable, there are regular updates and I have found no bugs so far. I would like to know if it truely is AOSP based as I get a slight CM feel off it as opposed to the AOSP based ROM, Dirty Unicorns.
Try it for yourself and see!

There already are several AOSP based roms. VRToxin is AOSP based. And there is an actual AOSP rom made by the JDCTeam.

Hello,
Yeah VRToxin looks cool but it is based on many different ROMs as far as I know. Kind of like Resurrection Remix or PAC ROM. But these ROMs still lean heavily on CM, and I'm looking for a ROM like Omni ROM or Dirty Unicorns that draws completely from AOSP and adds it's own touches from there. Little to no CM.
I know about JDC Team's work and it's fantastic, but it's not really what I'm looking for as it doesn't update that often and it lacks cool features like the ones you would find in Omni ROM or DU.
Basically, I'm a contrary B*****d But Vanir says it's AOSP based, it's got some cool features, it updates regularly and it's working on my S4 so I'm going to see how things!
Taken from the VRToxin thread:
ROM OS Version: 6.0.x Marshmallow
Based On: Aosp

I'd take JDC's performance over features. I can add the features I want to the JDC roms using Xposed, but I cannot add the performance I want to other roms, because the custom kernel in the JDC team roms isn't publicly available.
I didn't know Vanir is still being built for the S4. I saw the old rom threads not being updated anymore so I thought they dropped support.
What kernel are they using? I read that they have their own NUCLEARREACTOR kernel. Are they using for the S4 too or is it just a stock kernel?
Update: So I took VanirAOSP for a ride. The rom seems nice, it has CM influences. But that's not why I tried it. I wanted to see how it fares performance wise. And, in my opinion, JDC's AOSP is better when it comes to performance. Even on the Extreme Battery Profile, the JDC rom seems equal or slightly faster than Vanir on default settings. I didn't do any benchmarks, this is just user experience.
Other than that it seems like a solid rom. But it's not for me. Maybe if there was a way to flash alucard kernel on it.

I will give it a try though! My primary phone is an S5 so I use my S4 to test out new ROMs before committing to them.
You make a good point about performance over features. I just remember installing JDCTeam's AOSP ROM before and of course the next morning at work I Really needed a torch and had no internet to install an app! Things like a torch I took for granted in a ROM. I guess you would just need to put in more time setting it up than you would say CM, which contains many features out of the box.
Yes I set up this discussion to make people aware that the ROM is very much alive and kicking! It seems to be using a custom kernel. The picture below is from the S5 but it's the same story with the S4.
@Steve Geemaggio, you can open the camera app, set it to video and turn on the flash. It's not perfect, but it does the job in an emergency.
Also, the kernel is not really a custom one. It's more of a modified stock cm kernel from what I saw while having the rom on my device. I used Kernel Adiutor to see what I could configure, but there wasn't much to configure. CPU/GPU frequency and governors, some read-ahead cache and I-O schedulers and that's about it.
For normal everyday usage it's ok, but if you're a tweaker/poweruser there isn't much to do.

That's exactly what I did my friend
That's a pity about the kernel. It does seem good enough for everyday usage, but I'm starting to feel it could do better. The lack of a music player and file manager day one seemed strange to me and I find the default browser is a small bit buggy. Perhaps it's just early days for this build.
Hopefully they will make it more power user friendly as builds continue to come out.
For now I think I may try VRToxin. It looks very impressive!

Hello again,
I tried out VRToxin 4.0 on my S5.
My first impression, was that it looks awesome. Feature-wise, there is nothing you can't do! It is by far the most feature-rich and most unique looking ROM I have ever used.
Unfortunately I also find that it is very buggy at the moment. In the 19/03/16 release, The default calendar and clock crash as soon as you try to open them. Some features, such as 'Automatic Mode' in 'Themes' can't be used as they cause the system UI to crash every so often. I also noted that the kernel is set to 'Permissive' by default.
I like this ROM and I want to use it, but with bugs like these, I would rather the ROM was updated more often.
Thank you for the suggestion anyway and I'm glad you found Vanir to be okay.
I run this rom. Have for awhile.i believe they have a Google plus page and don't post much on xda anymore
