Hey, does anyone have any suggestions for annotating excel sheets on the Note 10.1. I've seen the suggestion of saving the sheets as pdf's, and importing them into s-note/lecture notes/etc, but one problem there is just that you cant save either google sheets or polaris sheets as pdf from the note (as far as I could see).
Has anyone found a good way to go about getting this done?

Well, if I can't find any better solutions I suppose I can always just take a screen shot and impot that image onto a page in lecture notes.

You can add comments to cells in spreadsheets using Kingsoft Office, which is free. It's one of the better Android office apps available.
In the stock office application Polaris you can choose export to PDF in the menu in the upper right corner. Then I recommend ezPDF or iAnnotate for the actual drawing in the PDF.

You can save your polaris spreadsheets as pdf? I have that option for word documents, but not for spreadsheets. Even when clicking save as, I have no option to click and change the file type.

No sorry, apparently you couldn't. I have been using the feature for PPT and regular documents many times and just assumed it was as easy with spreadsheets.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=patil.rakesh.excel2pdf would a third party app like this work?

That does look like it takes care of the "not being able to convert excel to pdf on the tablet" problem. Thanks.

You can skip the conversion process in Kingsoft Office by inserting comments directly into the spreadsheets. A red triangle appears in the right hand corner or any cell that has a comment. Clicking on it opens the comment. There's also a file menu option that opens or hides all comments. The comments can also be read in MS Excel on PCs.
That is something I'll take a look at, but my primary concern at the moment is annotation with the spen. Thanks though.

On my old phones I just went to reware.com and uploaded my bookmarks xml file, but on the infuse 4G when i import the bookmarks using that site and mybookmarks, they don't show up in the web browser. Anyone know of a way to make this work or a way to import bookmarks from firefox or safari on mac? I have the bookmarks XML and HTML file, so I can't believe it's that difficult.
The way apps handle the internal vs external SD card on this Samsung Infuse is already beginning to rub me the wrong way, ughhhhh
Same problem for me. I didn't have many anyways. I did notice it imports history though

Are there any other ways to import bookmarks? I have an HTML file and a XML file exported from Firefox, there's got to be another way.
I hate how I used Google plus for awhile and now it always has an "instant upload" section. And how there is various other categories from other things i have used over the years. I have tried deleting everything in the picture folder except for the actual pictures themselves and reinstalled roms, no matter what the various categories are always still there. What gives? Is it the way they are tagged or something?

I'm talking about the first screen as soon as you open gallery.

Try logging into http://picasaweb.google.com with your google account.
This is related to the "sync picasa web albums" setting in accounts.

Ok that did help me get rid of the instant upload category. But all my other dated categories have the picasa web symbol on them but are not listed on the picasa site.

I'm using gtasks as my to do list /task manager.
The look suits me fine and I particularly like the way I can edit what lists are visible in the all tab that gives me an agenda like breakdown of my tasks.
My biggest problems with gtasks are iffy syncing and invisible recurring tasks.
I think the syncing problem has been resolved in the last update. But I did manage to lose a couple of important tasks in the process.
Invisible recurring tasks are another headache for me since I can't see the recurring task till it's next due date. I have double payed bills a few times because of this.
Please recommend me a good replacement task manager that can do all of the above instead of me trying each one out myself.

I tried any do and I actually liked it. Good looking app too. My issue however is that it tags every item with a date. I have a list group called "information" that is actually a list of important numbers like drivers license, passport, cc, etc that contains no dates and is hidden from the all tab in gtasks that shows tasks by date.
If I could do this in any do id use it.

MailDroid reads from the local address book on the device. There are a few free apps on the play store that import CSV files into the local address book.

You can import your csv file into your Google contacts, then sync your address book. It should work.

Is it possible to embed handwriting into an email as opposed to it being sent as a png?
I think it's a bit of a nuisance for someone to have to DL the text if they have images blocked on their email client!
It depends on the program on the recipient's side. Outlook shows embedded, gmail shows as an attachment.
