I saw that the launch date for the S4 has now changed to the 27th April.
Most mobile operators in the UK do not deliver on weekednds so a lot of people will not get this until at least Monday.
Makes it even more exciting
Too bad it's getting sent home and not to my current address, will be getting it even later!
Carphone warehouse still states you can pre order for delivery "on launch day 26th April"?
It's still the 26. V3 are reporting this and there not the most reliable. Phones don't come out on weekends. So it's the Friday or the Monday.

Still think it's a mistake as I've never heard of any top end product being out on a weekend. I bet all company's will receive them next week and send them out Thursday for Friday. Stores maybe Saturday though. It's really odd. One extra day isn't the end of the world though but still doubt it.

There is a heated discussion about this on a Swedish Android forum, where Samsung has confirmed that the global release is at 10am on the 27th.
People are uppset that they will not receive preorders until Monday.
There are also accounts from Swedish online stores that say that Samsung won't let them send out phones earlier even if they have them in stock.

I think there has been some confusion from Samsung's end. The date for the 26th has been set in stone for quite a while now, basically since the initial announcement. Actually this seems to be one of the most smoothest Samsung launches I can remember as they have stated the release date from the beginning. All of their carrier and retail partners in the UK have been informed of the launch on the 26th. This includes Phones 4 U, Carphone Warehouse and all the networks.
The 27th date seems to be for the official in store launch at the Samsung store in London. As far as i'm aware all online orders will be dispatched on Thursday afternoon/evening for a Friday delivery. In store availability may start from Saturday only, but it is highly unlikely that any online sales will either be delayed till Monday or sent via the more expensive guaranteed Saturday delivery method.
Three deliver on Saturday but they told me the 25th.
I went into Phone4U Newcastle yesterday to have a white S4 put aside and they made an appointment for me to come in the store at 12:00 pm Friday 26th to pick it up.
Getting mine on 26th confirmed from o2 help
Is it still as expensive sim free as before hand? Or has the price dropped?

Same price.. Got mine on order on amazon and price is still the same. Don't want to pay it but it will be going back if it's not better than my One. If it is then the One covers some of the cost.

That 249 price point is pure speculation right now no one really knows. Let's say it were true which it might not be, Id take a stab at the phone being either 599 or 699 (also guesstimates). Until Verizon decides it's time to come clean it's all speculation.

Take that with a huge grain of salt as Android Central and Best Buy employees have SCREENSHOTS of a Feb 14th release date (the most convincing up to now) of which I also don't believe but I'm not a believer of rumors by nature.

That would be absolutely amazing if that's not just a placeholder. Man I hope my tax return is back by then.
As someone who works for Best Buy (and the in the phone department ) guys, that "instock" date means nothing. We get stuff all the time before launch and that system just shows when the store is receiving the merchandise. Also the model number would be of the product, I've never seen a model number like that before, so I doubt it is the phone....

Kind of a bad idea imo. You're missing out o. Alot of months of fun with the thunderbolt. When the desire 2 finally makes it to carriers it will be about holiday2011. If that happens and it does end up on verizon, I will just sell the thunderbolt on ebay and buy full retail. I don't see anything wrong with this plan.

So its $50 down to pre-order, but what is the full price against which you are pre-ordering? And what is this about a $50 gift card as well.
Also, can you change your mind on the pre-order? The reason I ask is I will be adding this phone as a new ATT transfer number line onto an existing VZW family plan, so I don't know if BB will do that or if I have to call VZW directly.
I am thinking of stopping by on the way home and pre-ordering, but I wanted to clarify those two things before I go out of the way to BB.

They are similar. Kind of like the MyTouch 4G and the MyTouch 4G slide. The codename of the Blaze is "Apex" or whatever, and the Relay is the "ApexQ". I saw it on TMoNews on one of the pictures, although they didn't say it.

I didn't think T-Mobile was launching this phone until the 20th?
At one point I thought I read that almost all of components were the same with the exception of the keyboard (and processor, not sure if the whole S3/S4 confusion was ever resolved).
That being said even with very similar hardware I'm not sure what process is involved with porting the software from another phone. I trust the knowledge and experience of the XDA devs. If they say it's not possible or would be extremely difficult to do even with similar hardware then that's good enough for me.

It would appear it has an msm8260a aka snapdragon s4 krait powering it. Now that this phone is out the likelyhood of us getting the so called ics update is now 0.

One phone being released does not mean another phone will get an update, especially when T-Mobile provided no information. Also, the Relay has a different processor, and internal hardware and software overall. I wish people would stop associating these phones that have never even been examined next to each other.

You're right about it not meaning getting updated.. but these phone are related, like it or not. Sure they have different processors and soft ware... but just like the Vibrant Galaxy S and the Vibrant Galaxy S 4G, they're the same pretty much. Think of it as a "refresh" to the "Blaze" lineup.

The relay and blaze are not similar just by adding the QWERTY keyboard will make the source very different not to mention other hardware stuff will be different. iirc the relay doesn't have all four capacitive buttons only has 2 and 1 buttons in the middle kind of like the international s2 but that could be wrong. Either way this doesn't affect our update...it's coming with patience because even if u whine and moan that won't bring the update sooner.

Per T-Mobile's announcement, and I've also spoken to the reps at my local T-Mobile store. They have the phone in stock and are ready to start selling it tomorrow on the 19th.

After seeing all the iphone 5 hype lately, I thought I would have to camp out overnight and then wait a week to get this phone. It's actually a bit anti-climatic to just walk to the T-mo store and buy it off the shelf. Actually, I'll test drive it in the store and probably order it via phone to wheel and deal.
Either that or you might check prices at other retailers. Not sure if they'll carry it right away but shortly after the Blaze came out T-Mobile wanted like $100 for it ($150 with a $50 rebate I think) but I was able to purchase it for $30 at the Target kiosk.

That's awesome!!! I would never be so lucky. I bought 2 for the wife and myself. We both currently don't use them because they aren't consistent on charging. We wake up in the mornings crossing our fingers that our phones charged just to find they are completely dead.
Congrats on the awesome luck and hope yours work better than ours.

Mine was delivered this past Saturday, after getting a backorder email on Friday. And then another one got delivered yesterday. So now I've got one for the office and home.

That almost happened to me also. Got an email from FedEx that there was a delivery exception due to missing Apt or Suite number. Yet the very same driver delivered another package to me 2 days prior, address identical and correct. Can't have a suite number for a house.

Has anyone received a replacement from Sprint yet? I keep staring at mine waiting for it to self combust. Not sure if i should return mine and go back to the note 4 or not. if the consumer protection agency actually releases a statement saying that we should discontinue using our phone could sprint or samsung actually deny the exchange if we ignore it?

I think we have to wait until the Government approves the replacements. So who know when that will happen. I did go back to my note 4 but have not returned the Note 7 yet. Waiting to see how long it will take to get those replacements. If within a week or so, then will wait, if more than a month, then returning the Note 7 for now and getting my upgrade back and will decide whether to buy it again later or just wait for the Note 8.
Sprint guy today told me he expects mid next week before they start trickling in.

Just phoned Samsung and they said it has been approved by the feds. And to be expecting US replacements later this week or next week.
Just got a message from Samsung also said most retail locations will have them by the 21st.

CNN just reported the CPSC formerly recalls Note 7. The same report says Samsung will have replacement phone's to the US carriers by Sept 21st.

Sprint told me that I didnt have to replace mine when i went into the store. I called their headquarters and they said I do and to talk to their manager when I go back. No loaners available and thry said they have no idea when news one will be in. Whole thing is a mess.

According to Samsung all phones are being replaced. Don't listen to the Sprint store reps. The stores should be getting them on or around Sept. 21.

Got mine as well (Silver)with a free screen protector/case and a Harman/Kardon bluetooth speaker.For anyone who hasnt yet . I asked to get on the list and they will call you. Is it me or does this batch run smoother?
