Does anyone know of any working Telecom NZ working ROMs? Stock won't flash and I'm stuck with a soft bricked Atrix 2.
System.img has an incorrectly permissioned build.prop and no system.img's will flash.
Webtop (grfs.img) is flashing wrong and creating the Invalivd CG OTV and CG Version errors.
I want to find a working (custom rom) that will hopefully work on my telecom atrix.
Any takers?

Here's a link to a TNZ ROM: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/5.5.1-EDEM-28-TNZ_cfc.xml.zip - haven't tried this one tho.
I had softbricked my TNZ atrix 2 recently and this rom worked perfectly for me: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/6.7.2_EDEM-18-MEARET_cfc.xml.zip. From there I Installed the JB Leak one which I currently use. For some strange reason, it would not boot up completely without installing the MEARET ROM beforehand.
Just in case - I have been using RSD Lite 6.15 for all my flashing needs (https://www.dropbox.com/s/2y92rn0xkeeuc36/RSDLite6.1.5.zip)
Cheers

Hi,
I am hoping somebody can help me out. I need to unroot my phone and put it back to completely stock ROM so that it looks as though it has never been rooted. I am not running a custom ROM, however I have removed things from the stock ROM (stock browser, SMS and probably other things) when I first bought the phone so I need to be able to get those back. I assumed I had made backups of them using ti, but apparently I haven't (who knows what I was thinking).
Anyhow I am hoping maybe there is someone here from New Zealand who can tell me where to get the official Telecom XT stock ICS for the Atrix 2 MB865. I assume I am right in thinking if I flash that and then unroot it will be just as when I bought it? If theres anything I am missing here please let me know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have just been given this link elsewhere
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/list.php
It appears to be GB though, does anyone know if I will have any issues if I flash this, given I have already done an official OTA upgrade to ICS
It seems like most advise against flashing back to GB. And no, there doesn't appear to be a TNZ version of the ICS firmware available.
I've always flashed this firmware 6.7.2_EDEM-18-MEARET (in firmware superthread) to get back to stock. Works fine on my Telecom Arix 2, just have to add the apn of whatever network you're on to get 3G working.
It will restore fully to factory settings, no root or anything.
hi tried to install Paranoid Android forgot to wipe cache and check the kernel version (i started on ics so it should be right) can't boot Paranoid Android just through ok reflash via RSD Lite download the Telecom New Zealand file and flashed it and can't get past the 7/21 flash cdt.bin tryed many files (e.g. 5.5.1-EDEM-27-SEARET and 6.7.2-EDEM-18-MEARET and 5.5.1-EDEM-28-TNZ) after that downloading the Jelly Bean file now (5.5.1-EDEM-28-37-SEARET i believe) i'll have to see if theirs a 5.5.1 MEARET anyway i feel the problem is because i had to install clockworkmod to install Paranoid or the Paranoid installed its own Recovery and in reading about the Paranoid Recovery it said's i needed to install BMM great please help
Phone model (Retail India, Retail China or AT&T) & have you flashed other than retail firmware (aka. AT&T)?
Don't worry it can be fixed.
You've hit the problem that many of us NZ users have had. For some reason RSD Lite just doesn't work on the Telecom NZ phones. (Although some users say it worked for them)>

Hello!
I am have some strange problem.
Have Atrix 2 MB865 and it is UAE, that i think. May be it mistake, but this photo of phone back.
Via RSD can successfuly flash only InlineFlashing_Edison_67.21.125_CFC_P3_APBP.xml.zip (is off for ATT). Any other images not flash without errors including official for UAE. The are errors with cdt.bin and recovery.bin.
The phone not have any ATT logotypes and initially was have some 2.3.x firmware (I do not have more information about what was in store phone firmware)
I can flash JB leak 3 without cdt.bin and recovery.bin, and it work, but camera not.
I can flash MIUI v4 ,it work, but battery so short lifetime.
I can't flash Unofficial MIUI v5 , have boot loop.
WTF?

MB865 does not necessarily mean it's an AT&T phone. If it is an AT&T model it will be quite obvious since it clearly says AT&T on the front of the phone.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

So...
EMEI say - is UAE, but RSD can't flash any other image include off UAE, but only ATT. Why. May be some modules or identificators was rewrote with ATT image. I have no idea, and already use forum search and google (
You wont be able to flash any firmware except at&t. Because you flashed at&t 125. cdt.bin number increased & you can't downgrade, but if it works good (no battery drain & etc) leave it. Still you will not be able to downgrade to UAE fw... RSD will keep throwing cdt.bin err...

Not a good idea to post your IMEI number on a public forum... I've edited your post.
Hello,
For the better part of this evening I have been trying to flash Telus Moto G with a different ROM. I even unlocked the bootloader, but to no avail.
I keep getting the following errors when trying to flash bootloader, recovery and system:
hab check failed for boot
hab check failed for recovery
invalid PIV signed system image
(when trying to flash a ROM with three sparsechunks, sparsechunk.0 gives the error, two remaining flash correctly, the phone boots, but the phone is unusable (most of the menus and stuff is just not there)
I have tried GPE, same thing (wouldn't even boot).
Only thing that always works is flashing Telus firmware.
Is there ANY way to bypass this limitation?
Please help me!
same for me bro. I tried US retail and it didnt work. I didnt unlock bootloader so I went back to the telus one.
I dont get why you cant get it in if you unlock bootloader
anyways, I doubt there is a difference between these stock rooms. just saying..
There is a fundamental difference in that Telus version only has a few system languages, and doesn't have the ones I need.
could you root it, install cwm and than install custom rom?
Yes, I've finally managed to flash CWM and Cyanogenmod. Thanks for the tips!

Sweet! Good to hear.
Anyone found a way to install non-Telus stock FW or GPE on a Telus Moto G in the meantime? It appears Moto G losdt CM support, so I would like to get back to stock - but Telus version is not acceptable.

I've tried flashing the US and GB retail with no success. The result of the effort was a loss of radio antenna with no network connection. Flashing the Telus firmware repaired the antenna issue with no errors when flashing all the files. The issue seems to be the bootloader and leaves me wondering if it needs to be unlocked. I'm not desperate to have a retail version that I'm willing to void the warranty by unlocking the bootloader.

The OEM or Carriers has no update or standalone file at this time. Both state the updates are available only over a OTA.
Based on your details, a provider (Bell Canada, Ontario) has a firmware release (latest brings FW 7A.0.5-11-5.1.1-11.01.24 and Lollipop 5.1.1) that can only be obtained over OTA.
http://support.bell.ca/Mobility/Smartphones_and_mobile_internet/Operating-Systems?alias=sonim-xp7
There aren't any power user friendly tools, so I can see why you're frustrated.
But if I stumble across standalone tools, I'll host the links.
I'm in the boat too i was having software issue's with my phone then purchased another one on kijiji to try and get the stock rom off if it and flash it to mine.I'm having software issues and the one i just purchased the sim card reader is faulty. Sonim support's answer to me in both situations is factory reset the phone.
My issue is when i tried updating with there app it crashed 30% into the update and caused so irreversible bugs that makes my screen stay on all the time.I'm new to this and figured i could copy some system files over to my phone to try and fix this but u give up.Love the phone hate the company for lack of support.
I am stuck with 2 paperweights right now
Same situation here. Device will only boot to recovery, or fastboot.

Anyone has extracted partition images from FOTA update? Any help is greatly appreciated...

Has anybody managed to pull off some of the stock files? My XP7 stuck on the Sonim logo after doing a factory reset, I think its the boot.img thats corrupt. I contacted Sonim who did not want to know. They did not even offer to do a paid repair as the phone was purchased off ebay. I had a long argument with them about support but still the phone is stuck. I can get into fastboot and recovery, have tried a factory reset, still the same.
