[SOUND-MOD][6/26/2012] anonymous sound mod-beats style

there are already a lot of sound mod out there. aside from the original beats audio mod from rockodev, we can also find xLoud, srs mod, and off course megabassbeat which I've given to you the modified version in this forum. however, none of them comes with a "style". most of them are works in background as a lib and framework files. no one could see if that mod is already installed or not since we can't see any new apps installed. so, here comes my sound mod. the idea is to make a mod which not only give you an improvement on sound quality but also add more style on your device. this mod comes with all binary files, lib files, framework files, and everything you need to improve you device's sound quality. it also comes with a beats sound enhancement app and a beats styled media player. try it, and you'll find the differences.

installation guide:
1. put in your sdcard.
2. boot into recovery.
3. flash the file via CWM.
uninstall guide:
# easy method --> reflash your rom or restore your backup
# hard method --> delete everything inside this mod except system native files. I've flagged the native files with *.xxx1 extension.

important notes:
1. if you're using stock rom, please delete music.apk and music.odex in /system/app.
2. if you have dsp manager, clear you app data and uninstall it.
3. the beats enhancement app is not from me. its comes from aya.yaya in galaxy fit forum. here is the link for the original thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1627288
4. there's a bug in the beats enhancement app. if you're using my media player don't set the dynamic range compression at maximum.
5. I still can't decide the mod name (lol). I named it anonymous sound mod but if you have another idea please contact me or you can write your suggestion below.

another music player. this is blue themed miui music player. the original theme is orange but I made it blue to match the music player in first post. you need to push it into /system/app to install this music player.
EDIT: I found this app on market. its an alternative for dsp manager in case if it didn't work or you want to try another eq app. you can install it as usual app but you'll need to uninstall of freeze your dsp manager.

Hey thanks for the nice sound mod its working I can feel the difference.
but I just want to ask about the 2 apk files (in system/app folder) other than DSP manager and music app. These 2 apk files dont get installed as I can't find any of them in settings/applications. Also if I click on them, system doesn't ask to replace any app it just asks if u want to install. For any other apk file in system/app folder if you click on them system asks weather you want to replace the already installed app.

Yeah I know that but those two apk are not getting installed. They are there in the system/app folder but whatever they do is not being done as they are not registered in the system.
Its like if we push broken apks in system. I hope you understand.

audio1.apk is comes from xLoud mod while audio2.apk is comes from htc beats audio mod. in every sound mod contain xLoud and beats audio you can always find them. they're kind of half installed into the system. you can check into data/data. you'll find a folder named, com.htc.musicenhancer. thats a prove that the apk is installed into the system but only partially working.
don't worry about those apks. in this mod the real working parts is the framework file in /system/framework. you can't see them registered on the system but you can check whether theyre installed or not by checking in to /data/dalvik-cache and look into the dex file for the framework. you can safely delete those apks but I can't guarantee that this mod is working as good as before.

Instructions
Make Backup first.
* First delete SemcMetadataCleanup.apk from system/app/ using root explorer and reboot. [If present otherwise skip this step]
* Then, Install New WALKMAN via CWM Recovery.
* After reboot add this line to build.prop found in system/ folder and reboot again.

Install via CWM recovery
New WALKMAN [Full Port]
If New WALKMAN Force Closes
If still Force Closes then...
* Delete SemcmetadataCleanup.apk from system/app/ and then reboot your phone.
* After reboot again push SemcmetadataCleanup.apk to system/app/ with permission rw-r--r-- using root explorer.
If New WALKMAN doesnot recognize your Songs
* First move all your Songs to PC [Delete them from SD Card] and then reboot your phone.
* Then, again copy them to SD Card in any Mode [MTP or MSC]. [This time it will recognize all Songs]
If Download Music Info Not Works
* Try to clear data of Download Music Info via app settings.

Intall in a clear ROM, beacouse maybe you have another mod installed, and that caused the problem

Dont manually install, flash with CWM and if then dont work you need to install it over new ROM

The purple walkman not working, noteven on my clean rom. It force closes.
So I just installed the blue walkman apk. Sound enhancements is the same as the one in your screenshots.
Surround sound & clear bass is amazing
BUT sound reduce in some songs

Most probably you flashed this on .22 build number. Only .27 is supported I think Try to flash Paradox ROM and then this. It worked for me to install on freshly flashed Paradox

No my bro, my build number is 11.0.A.4.27. And I had reset my phone software from Sony Update Service, so no other sound mod was pre installed.
Also, in paradox rom, the sound doesn't suddenly reduce in some songs?

With me no, just flash clean Paradox, boot to phone, boot to recovery and flash mine zip, it should work

2. Install Custom Recovery like CWM Recovery / TWRP Recovery.
3. Switch off phone and goto recovery by pressing volume "-" and power on button at same time.
4. Select Factory Reset / Wipe Data option from recovery.

WARNING : This step will delete every data of your phone like apps, contacts, messages,etc.
So have a backup with you.
5. Then select "Install Zip" from recovery and flash XyrusOS.zip.
6. After finishing reboot the phone.
7. After first boot install dependencies of Xposed framework ( press Install/Update inside framework option ) and Viper4Android ( click yes after app launch and then select "Cortex A9/A15 with NEON" ).
8. Select the primary storage from Settings.
9. Done!!
Flash Xposed_Modules.zip for my personal used modules ( do this only after selecting primary storage in settings ).
More modules are available on xda-forums.

CRT off animation is buggy . It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't.
So if you don't want CRT effect at all then flash [COLOR="YellowGreen"]No_CRT_Effect.zip[/COLOR].
But if you want to enable it again then flash [COLOR="YellowGreen"]Enable_CRT_Effect.zip[/COLOR].

you can try direct flashing without factory reset. it may work because this rom is bassed on stock rom

Just open the app . Click Yes And then Select Cortex A9/A15 with Neon option . And reboot the phone

i flash this rom on today mrng...every thing is fine but i hv one problem..i use xolo play stock rom s014 update rom and the sound is very good in bass but this rom has not good sound like s14 stock rom ....my head is getting pain for hearing his sound in headfone but before that this sound is very good speically bass..pls help can u fix this

Yes You can flash this ROM using ROM manager as rom manager just sends a command to installed recovery to install selected zip, it has nothing to do

Better don't since the system of these 2 are different, if you want to have the effect of Stereo mod v15 on v12, you can move the mixer_paths.xml from v15's zip (/system/etc) and overwrite it to v12's mixer_paths.xml

Yeah, so it's sure there's something wrong because stereo mode doesn't work, even though i selected it in aroma..

How is everyone incall volume? Mines seem low.

There are 2 different files. In my LG G2 device I tested both of them are working. So try and see for your device.
(Newer version of Walkman/music files always Fc in G2 Lollipop Roms so i use Semcmusic 8.4.A.5.4.apk. Uploaded for G2 users that have fc)

Before installing always make sure that you have 60 MB of free space in System
- turn off the menu "For Developers" - NuPlayer (experimental)
- Go to the recovery and make Wipe Dalvick Cache

Review on CM 12.1 Xperia M
I flashed the v6M. Work well with Sony Xperia M CM 12.1, version cm12.1-20160123-NIGHTLY-nicki . I can consider this as bug free because so far I didn't found any bug yet . Thanks for posting this stuff .

Phone speaker doesn't work on 6M
After flashing , the audio via headset works great. Haven't had the clear audio work for me in M before.. but there is no sound coming via the speaker.. ringtone , msg notification , nothing.. using moto maxx on Resurrection remix.. any ideas.. ??

WALKMAN v6M works fine on CM 13 CAF on my Nexus 5...thanks mate it's the unique version that works for me with Clearaudio on MM (neither your Walkman Z3 works.)

Although, first the volume was very-very low on headphones. I have copied back the stock audio_effects.conf and mixer_paths.xml from CM zip, since then the volume is also fine. I've noticed that the stock mixer_paths is about thrice as big as your's. I hope this doesn't effect the quality of sound.

I'm using the second one, which works fine on my coconut, even with the latest version of Sony Music (9.1.6.A.1.0beta).

Did that. It's still there. Can't seem to find it in system either. I flashed a new rom, factory data reset the device and even wiped internal storage. I'll try it again. It's getting a little frustrating
Did what I should of done to begin with. I didn't ever find it in system but I did a complete wipe and I'm back in business. The app basically made my phone stay in headphone mode. Nothing brought my device out of it, I caution anyone who installs this via recovery to be careful

I update my rom now and port is gone try again please it must work, except if you have add-on script to make it survival after update your rom.?
