Hi, recently I was in china and bought samsung b5330 for myself. It was china version(android os in china version) so I reinstalled European and everything looked like working just fine. I used this link by the way http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1936878
But I faced problem. When I type on physical qwerty keyboard inputs and outputs are different! For example: when I push letter ! it enters /, when I push , I get ?. My question is there is anyway how to remove this problem without switching back to China android os? Is there is any program that would let me to customize qwerty keys?

First off i live in New Zealand and i imported the captivate because i preferred it over the standard galaxy s phone we have over here.
Since i received it however i have noticed a few software issues which i am needing help with or wondering if theres a stock GT-i9000 rom?
The issues are as follows:
No Swype keyboard, came with 'Chinese keyboard'. i have sinced installed a keyboard form the marketplace
No Accelerometr/gyro. When trying to access game or apps that require it they say it cannot be detected. furthurmore i cannot put the phone into landscape mode when sending an SMS for example to flip the keyboard
The ambient light sensor and the proximity sensor are same as above, they either do not work or arent detected
The phone cannot connect to Kies or any computer in general. It worked once where i could access the external SD card through my computer, but when trying to get it to connect to any computer simply nothing happens, even when windows says its succesfully installed drivers it cannot find it.
As you can see thats alot of issues. It also crashes when i try to access 'mobile AP' in the settings menu. The phone came rooted without any samsung apps, widgets, wallpapers or anything else that it should have. There is also a app called 'superuser permission' which i believe is related to it being rooted?
So what i'm thinking the most logical choice is to somehow install android again, but with a fully functioning OS (e.g. accelerometer, swype etc). im not looking for anything fancy, preferably just stock andorid 2.1.
Since i cannot properly connect to a computer how would i backup all my data on it? And since its being used in New zealand, not america (its been unlocked) will doing this unlock it?
im sort of a noob at all this and haven't had any help from anyone yet.
P.S sorry if ive got spelling mistakes and what not, i wrote this in a rush before bed
Thanks,
Doctorwhobbc
I don't have the technical knowledge to help you that much with your inquiry.
It seems like your phone has a lot of problems with one you just imported. Are you sure that the place you got the phone from is reliable?
Hello.. I bricked my phone with some lame lock screen replacement. To fix the problem I loaded the T959UVJFD.tar rom. Then loaded the 2.2 update via Samsung Kies mini. I then rooted it using superOneClick everything seems to be perfect now with one exception. The predictive text dictionary (I think this is the correct term)
When I type or text it doesn't suggest words or automatically fix my text anymore. I am using better keyboard but it doesn't seem to work on any keyboard.
Any suggestions?
Hi all!
I'm new to this forum and this is my first question here. I tried to find something close to my problem, but, no success, so i'm asking it here... Also, i dont have any advanced experience with these kind of gadgets
I have 2 same, old, chinese 3.5" gps devices with just different names on it...
Evertone CE-N442 and Dikom GPS-515EUR
They are working on WinCE 5.0 with arm926t processors.
The problem is that one of those devices is not working, its just stuck on "boot logo", if that's the right term to call it. Its not possible to establish a usb connection. The other one is ok, running normally. I wanned to ask if there is any solution to make the other device working? Is there a way to call bootloader or something like that and reinstall the system from SD card? I already made a img of working win with some sw called DiskRW...
I hope that someone had some experience with this type of devices
Thanks in advance!!!
I read that thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1243699
and wondering if is possible to use our phone as fully (or close to that) terminal /computer.
I want to learn linux to work with some commands, but sometimes it just dont work.
Ofcourse there is many solutions but all of them work fine for software keyboard.
I want to use hardware keyboard in full.
Any ideas?
Hello,
I just finished updating my S7 edge (SM-G935F) to android Nougat using Odin.3.12.3. The installation went fine up until the point I had to enter my password to gain access to the system(i.e The screen you get before your phone displays the lock animation).Instead of phone displaying the english language, it displays just Greek (I installed the greek firmware of nougat).Although there is an ABC icon on the bottom left corner of the keyboard ,the keyboard remains in greek language even after I press it.I used a wired keyboard and the otg adapter that came with the phone and I was able to type my password and gain access to my phone. Then I added the english keyboard and english language. The keyboard works fine inside the system and Im able to switch between english and greek. But the problem remains when I restart the phone and try to enter the system. Is there a solution to this problem? Can I add the language some way or should I install the nougat firmware from another country (for example the uk one)?
Thank you.
