Hi,
I have a TF300 not rooted and I want to install a new ROM.
I'm familiar with recovery and flashing but never did it with this device.
Could you please advise about a procedure to Root my device and then flash a new ROM?
Not sure if I can ask about a stable ROM that you use

As you already have an old Cyanogen rom, your phone is already rooted, so you can skip the 1st part of the guide (you may want to read it anyway for a better understanding of what was already done on your device).
Once you select the rom you want to flash, you can post your questions on installing that rom in that rom's thread.

Usually NOT (changing your rom doesn't unroot your phone).... and this is the development section! Next time post in the question and answer section and we're all happy.

Please give me some more details, i can try help you.
below are some things that i have done on beganing,
I have flashed rooted Carbon ROM directly that also included CWM.
to flash that rom, i do not correctly remember, but iguess on XDA i have gone through one Thread step by step to root and flash the carbon ROM.
you can find the Carbon ROM OP Thread very easily, just search on Google "Carbon ROm for infuse 4g" and the search result with XDA developers site link -you must click.
This is the ROM that allow you to directly flash the Jellybean 4.2.2 ROM to GB ROM, no need to flash ICS.
and there on the main thread they have given the details step by step to go into CWM recovery mode.

Hi naveen,
I suggest that search for thread naming " return to stock working PIT" and follow the instructions, your phone will start at stock rom......
hope this works....

it was working on stock rom when i try to install avatar rom on cwm recovery it shows dont forget gapps suddenly the color was changed after that i try to restore backup wont switch on

For flash, which rom is best for the device ( I understand it is pretty weak and may not handle cm series or the like. I did hear about a rom that was like a supped up version of the stock or something but lost that info.
- as well would appreciate a step by step if possible for flashing.
The device is completely stock at the moment.

I fully wiped my T310 to flash thiS rROM but I get :
'format expects 5 args, got 4'
status 7
I've flash an other ROM without any problem and try again... same error...

Other than making sure you followed the instructions exactly, and since other ROMs work for you...then you would probably have ask in the thread for help. They know the ROM and your device best.
However, you need to have 10 posts to post in a development thread. So I suggest you look around you're device section and contribute some useful comments. Or, you could post your question in the q&a section for your device. Here....
