Hey guys! Im just about to buy a nexus 4 Ringke Fusion Hybrid.
The beveled edge of the display on the nexus 4 makes the phone a pleasure to use, so I was wondering if this case would mess that up completely. Is there any other case out there that doesn't have this problem?
Thanks
Any case that has lips that come up over the sides will "mess up" the curved feel...especially if the case is thick.

I was using a bulky type rugged case prior to this one and I have to say with the rugged case I had issues swiping the sides (switching tabs, lock screen widgets etc) and with this case I do not have troubles with those types of swipes. It really is a small lip on this case and does not interfere with my usage.
Alright guys! Thanks!! Helped me a lot!

Hey guys, I want to find a hard backing for this phone (because hard plastic feels so much better in the hand than gel case.. right? I haven't actually tried both out but I feel it would) but I want something that won't interfere with the edges of the front of the phone. Does anyone know of any cases like this or can you sell me on a soft backing that would again not interfere with the front experience? Thanks

Most cases have a lip along the sides that affects the curved corner of the phone. Havent seen any that don't actually. That being said, I'd reccomended the Nikon or ringke slim case now that they have fixed the issues with the early batch of cases.

Another vote for the Rinke Rearth SLIM. It's a fine case. It's very thin and makes the phone totally not slippery if you get the matte version. It feels good in your hands and will help protect the buttons from damage too. There isn't a ton of protection from drops as the top and bottom sides are pretty much exposed, but it's more or less what you are looking for short of some sort of thick back protector that sticks on like a screen protector.
Second on the nillkin, tho i would fancy the ringke if i was in the US...

I saw Vectron's review of the UAG case where he said he didn't think that the Spigen glass protector would fit on with it. What I'm curious about is if anyone has actually tried this or tried it with any other glass protector? I love the look of the UAG case and the reviews here have me just about sold on it. But I'd like to know if I can use any sort of glass screen protector with it.
I dont see why it wouldnt, the s3 version had no problems from what i read
I wouldn't know one way or the other, but I'd love to hear from someone who has tried it. In his review of the case, Vectron just laid the screen protector on there, saying it didn't look like it fit, but mentioned that he had some sort of pre-release model of the phone.

i got the spigen tr glass and it fit perfectly to this case.
and i must said this is a better case then spigen neo hybrid. its smaller in width, more comfortable to hold. The rubber lip off / along the glass is much higher, giving it more protection. the buttons are not so prompt to accidental activation.

Doh! I'm limited to 8 thanks per day?? Annoying.
Thanks for the response and the pics. Did you put the glass on first, then the case? Or vice-versa? Could you put the case on before the glass, even? It seems like if you could, it might help with alignment.

not the case first, nono i dun recommend tat. the rubber is soft enuff to over lap the glass, esp the tr since its edges are rounded. actually it kinda protect the glass edges, if its not for the cut out at the top earphone, u cant tell there's a additional glass over ur original screen. definately a perfect match wif this combination.

Hi, I'm planning to get the UAG casing for my phone too. but the earphone port is holding me back.
I'm curious if the port is big enough for 3rd party earphones to be plugged in. I've gotten several casing and it can't fit in perfectly for my phone to detect it.
I'm using a Shure SE-215, with a L-shaped jack.
I've attached a photo of the jack.
My iLoome glass screen protector fits perfectly. Im loving it everyday
I am using the UAG with the GLAS.t NANO SLIM and it fits just right.
Hey guys,
I'm considering buying a TPU case for my N4. Which ones do you recommend and why? I'm also especially interested in how much width they add. The OEM bumper case makes the phone too big for my hands.

I said that too when I first got my bumper and then tried it a second time and resold it again. Won a white OEM one and hasn't come off yet.
I suggest the Ringke Fusion, but you may not like fingerprints on the back of that. Also cruzerlite has some nice cases as well. Also Diztronic tpu cases are nice if you are looking for a plain jane tpu.
The Diztronic case is great. It barely adds any thickness to the phone. While not TPU, I'm also digging the Body Glove case. Laterally, it doesn't add much thickness, but it's a little beefier on the back which might be a good thing with the glass and all. Both cases have raised edges which allows you to put the phone face-down if that's ever a concern.
I have the Diztronic TPU on mine and my girls. She has dropped it numerous times and not a scratch on it.
Mercury 6$ case, it's nice as I have one for a note 2. The note 2 is more snug versus this one however, this one has lips on the sides to protect the screen.

I must be the only one who thinks the diztronics tpu case is a pile if crap. Cutouts don't like up on either of the two I've had. Went in the garbage
I use the.bumper, and the body glove case when I am doing something where I need more protection

I have the this one: Ringke Fusion. It adds very little to the bulk of the phone, whilst protecting the back.
I also like the Mercury case ..the look and feel is great.

You must've had bad luck with it then.. the cutouts on mine are perfect. What I do dislike though are the buttons, which are a bit hard to press and feel mushy.
I still haven't seen a case that I like 100%. Every single one makes it either look a lot cheaper, adds too much bulk or doesn't offer enough protection. But.. well, nothing you can really do, I guess
I have the official bumper, rinke fusion, poetic borderline. I can say using Ringke fusion brings the feeling of a solid phone. Using the official bumper adds a width for the phone. In the poetic borderline i didn't feel any bulk at all. That's my experience about those cases. I consider the back design in choosing a case cause i wanna let others can see the beauty of N4.

Mine arrived this afternoon and I love it. Can't wait for my skin for the back to arrive so it can feel safe and look sexy.
Official Bumper, Diztronic, a two part mesh case, etc and my FAVORITE is the Cruzerlite Bugdroid case in Smoke. You can see Nexus through the back of the case, not much width added at all and with the Bugdroid pattern carved into the back it offers much needed slip out of the hand protection. Cut outs are perfect also.
I've only tried the diztronic and I highly recommend it. Doesn't look like anything special or nice but in terms of protection it works. I've dropped my phone many times with it on and no scratches or dents or anything. Also the cutouts on mine are perfect.. There is a whole thread on it here I believe. I do wish the beautiful back wasn't covered though.. ringke fusion might be better in that sense.
I've gone through a few cases and settled on this one. My fave case so far, offers great protection and fits over the iloome tempered glass screen protector, unlike the Ringke Fusion.

Hi everybody,

If you mean TPU case (you said rubber case) I reccomend you this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Diztronic-Matte-Back-Black-Purple-or-Pink-Glitter-TPU-Case-Cover-for-LG-Nexus-4-/261137354079
I have matte black and its very good. Not too thick and very good buttons feedback (volume +/- and on/off).
I have this TPU case from ebay. No complaints and its thin.

May not be what you wanted but Ringke Hybrid Fusion Case https://www.rearthusa.com/google-nex...id-fusion-case
I don't even notice mine except that I am no longer afraid of the phone slipping out of my hand. Dropped the phone once and it still works.

I can attest to it's durability. I've probably dropped the phone ten times at least and nothing has happened. Either I'm lucky or this case is amazing.

Ive been thinking about this case. So the clear back is hard plastic and the black edges is TPU? How thick is the clear back? The computer renderings on their website makes the back appear too thick.

Can anybody share the thickness in comparison between a diztronic tpu, ringke slim and ringke fusion?

I was wondering if anyone has dropped there Note 3 with a Slim Armor case? How did it come out? Was it a drop that you said thank goodness I had this case.
Looking for max protection without a huge case like the defender.
I'd like to know this as well...

I am using a Neo Hybrid. Dropped my phone from my lap, while sitting in the car while trying to get out of it. Dropped onto the road. It hit the bottom part of the phone, where there is a small scuff mark on the Neo Hybrid case. The impact must have be really strong as my SPEN was ejected from the phone. A glass screen protector was used and as it was quite thick (thicker than most glass SP) the top part of it cracked. My phone is dent free and the original screen is perfectly fine.
I have the slim armor case and i dropped my phone face down on concrete and it was fine! Only issue is that is scratches very easily, but i would rather it was the case than my phone hope this helps!
