TWRP recovery - factory reset, wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, install ROM, install gapps, wipe cache/dalvik, reboot

Before this was posted I tried to install the latest three nightlies and couldn't get past the samsung screen. Thought maybe it was a bad download so each one got downloaded three times. Complete wipe as always I never dirty f lash nothing. Factory reset cache dalvic cache and system. Install rom and gapps. Tried just the rom no go. Would like to try it. Been flashing forever and never had this problem.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

Sounds good lol.. To be fair I was able to setup and run the 4-14 build. Haven't tried the 4-15 build.
But as far as running all 4.2 builds I always wipe internal as well because of the problems that have been caused after each Rom install.

Is it really necessary for every dev to include such basic information in the OP? Seems like a waste of time to me.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

The first time I downloaded 4-14 and anything before it was a no go as well.. The second time 4-14 was later on that night because I saw that the problem had been fixed and it was 're uploaded. It fortunately booted and I was able to run it as well.

The dev didn't include it. But there are still a great amount of people on this forum that dirty flash everything they touch. I was just getting the first and easiest possibility out of the way

He wasn't asking the steps, he was asking that other dude how he did it to see if that's why he was having an issue
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

downloaded and installed 4/15; no issues here, as would be expected with Wiz's projects. His MIUI version was the best ROM i ran on my DX.
that being said, had an issuew with downloading a theme; downloaded as a .zip, so thought i would do the old convert to .mtz (this time used .ctz) to convert it to a good theme, and it didn't work.
other than that, all seemed to be running good. will go back and check how it re-loads and play with it more
:good:

one quick question; profiles was set on by default, is there a reason to run that, or can i turn that setting off?

I just flashed and my clock is still blue?
In AOKP, you have the option of manually setting the color of the clock, so to make it match, simply head to rom control and set the clock color to hex #9e0000, then tap the new color box to set it.
Beautiful theme, Tyvm no problem at all flashing

I cant get it to boot on my build 28 rom (AOKP 1.6), it gets to the loading of apps after bootanimation, but then bootloops :/ perhaps it doesnt agree with rogue recovery?

Hmm...I use Team Rogue CWM as well and it works fine. I'll try out b28. As a test, you can take my zip and remove systemui and framework. if it boots, then roman has changed something in the rom, and i'll make it top priority to make my theme compatible.

Same thing here, and I'm on Roach's latest recovery.
Got that problem too. Using Rogue Recovery if it helps.
Ok, i see a trend. I'll update everything and hopefully everything will be finished by tonight. I'm still on M4, so that was probably it.
nice, i loved it
i gonna try it tomrrow.
tnx bro
Build 28 support posted. Had to remove LatinIME support as new keyboard FCs after compile. I'll continue to work on a solution, as well as add new themed apps to incorporate.
So I flashed the new version for B28 and installation went just fine
It's really looking great. However the power menu vanished wich is a little weird and I was unable to set the clock color to red in rom control (I read the FAQ )
Keep up good work!

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone.
Features :
PAL, First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
This rom features a setting called Per-App-Density - PAD. It basically allows you to scale apps, make them bigger or smaller. This is a must for tablet mode since it shrinks your apps considerably, making them useless. you can even scale widgets and framework components like the navigationbar.You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision.
All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.
More stuff: Recents window closer to stock, fixes for overlapping elements, framework fixes, no crashes, working Phone (looks 100% like stock aswell),Sense 4 Recent Apps too etc.

I know there is/was a MIUI v4 theme in progress, I'm sure there will be a MIUI v5 one in time. We'll be converting some popular MIUI themes (we have a couple available now on our forums), and setting up a wiki with guides on creating themes and converting MIUI themes.

To enable or disable navbar. Go to personalize click propmodder. There is an option to turn the navbar on or off

[APP][4.0.3+][AllianceROMs] AllianceManager V1.0

Hey All,
If you are using an AllianceROM you know that there are many options and colors that can be changed to suit your taste. Some people found this daunting and others asked for a way to reset everything back to default colors etc.
I am new to Java but after some trial and error and a whole load of testing by the team I have created my first App - Alliance Manager
Alliance Manager is a one stop shop to create, install and backup your styles and settings. Users can create their own styles to upload for everyone to use. If you want your style including in the app or available for others please upload it and post it in this thread!! The app will show no preview for your style unless you include a screenshot png named preview.png.
NOTE: The backup and inclusion of dropdown, statusbar and system wallpapers needs changes to your ROMs. These will be included in the next released versions so at present these wallpapers will NOT be included until you get an update for your device
The main features can be seen in this screenshot:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Create Theme - This will create a theme.zip of all your custom settings that relate to theme options with a name of your choice. This will add all colors and theme settings along with dropdown, statusbar and system wallpapers to a zip that can be restored by you or uploaded for others to use. They are saved in the Alliance/Themer folder on your internal SD.
- Choose Theme - Choosing this option will display a list of all Theme.zips in the Themer folder. It will show you a preview image of the style and on pressing install will change all your options to create the style in the preview and restart SystemUI and Dialer etc
- Create Custom Settings Backup - This will create a backup zip of all your options in custom settings which will be saved in Alliance/Backup. This includes lockscreen options, general mods etc as well as all the theme stuff that is included in the theme zips.
- Restore Custom Settings Backup - Obvious really....restores all of your options
The app will create all necessary folders on its first opening and there are 5 preloaded styles for you to choose from:
Alliance Gold:
Stock Samsung:
S5 Style:
The Driller:
KitKat:
Please report any issues in this thread rather than your ROM threads.
DOWNLOAD: http://d-h.st/hcE
There may be another version at some point that can be used on other ROMS. DO NOT include this app in any ROMs other than Alliance and do not try to change it and claim it as your own.
Thanks and enjoy
CREDITS: All of Team Alliance for testing this over and over and over again....Thanks guys
First!

Just installed on Alliance 25 and when i click choose theme it force closes..
So is this only for those running "Alliance ROM" or will it work on any ROM? I'm on a Sprint Galaxy S4 running Sacs Custom ROM (Android 4.4.2; TouchWiz based).

I can't seem to get it to install. The install button won't do anything. Cancel works. Downloaded 3 times and same on all 3 tries. Install is just not responding. I have allow unknown sources checked and verified that installing other non-market apps work. Any ideas on what I screwed up?
EDIT: Nevermind, I was clicking on the dl from notification panel without luck. Opened from root Explorer and installed fine. Awesome work Goldie.
Here it is

When I click choose theme all I get is a black screen with an alliance header?
Don't know if its because my colors are screwed up or it really is blank???? Lol
