[Q] Kingston Office App Lag Question - Asus Transformer TF700

Hey guys,
I have tried searching around to see if anyone else is experiencing any lag while typing using Kingston Office but couldnt find anything helpful. So basically when I am using the app in class for notes when I type it lags for a few seconds before the sentence appears. I am running CROM and everything works great and is really fast so Im confused on why this app is doing this. Anyone else having this problem or does anyone have anything that I might try to fix this or should I just run another app for notetaking?
Thanks in advance!

try a cold boot with the dock attached.

It is a rather well known issue with Kingsoft and several Android devices, amongst which the 700. Have you tried any other app yet?

OfficeSuite 7 works well...though it is a paid app and does charge for add-ons like spell check.

[Q] xda-developers forum extremely slow on transfo

Has anyone else noticed how xtremely slow this forum is on the transformer? Navigating the pages and even typing this out is very frustrating. I thought it was flash but I uninstalled it and it is still very bad. Any help or info is appreciated. The default keyboard helps a little bit, but typing is very laggy as well.

I'm not experiencing this via the browser. Also, you may want to buy Tapatalk

So far this website really seems to be the only one I have problems with using the stock browser, or even some of the other browsers.
I did find that Opera Mobile seems to work very well with XDA though.

I'm having the EXACT same problem and only with XDA Dev's site. I got so frustrated that I wiped my Transformer thinking it might have been an issue with the ROM. Still same issue. Really don't want to use Tapatalk on a damn tablet but what can I do... At least I know I'm not alone.
Also, I did update Flas to 10.2 not sure it is related.
Yeah the app is so slow. I think its the app tho, whats tapatalk

Surfing this site on TF101 browser is slow for me also. Tapatalk is much faster though.

It IS really rotten using the default browser. Firefox is a bit better. The worst part is getting that ">" new postings link large enough to click on it. In Firefox, there is an additional new postings link that is still hard to click but larger. Hopefully as tablets become more common, sites will make some accommodation.

This forum always gives people issues..
But it has a relatively easy fix.
Scroll all the way to the bottom right and then change XDA 2010 to XDA classic. All your problems should vanish!
I'm having the same issue on my Acer a500. I was getting ready to return it and wait for a transformer. I guess its just xda developers site. Thanks.

May changing the forum style to the xda classic helps?

It appears to be the Flash ads that are driving it crazy, so no problem with those on the iPad heh. The TF tries to render all of them, and although they do work they are very slow.
You would think that without flash installed, it wouldn't try to render them, but it appears to get stuck on them for some reason. It doesn't make a difference with or without flash, still unbearably slow. Can we pay $5 a month to get the flash ads turned off? LOL...

I love this site & I would pay to get rid of all ads to make my browsing faster on my TF101. I'll have to try the classic mode which was mentioned in a few post earlier when I get home from work.
The xoom had the same issue and switching to classic worked for a while until they updated the xda premium app. Not sure if the xda premium app will work for the tf but I would try that.

Not sure it's the Flash ads. I have the browser set to only load Flash on demand, so the Flash ads are not shown. And it it's still extremely laggy.
I just tried switching to "XDA Classic", that fixed it. Ugly as hell, but it works now.

Nook app update

Now supports tablets and magazines which look great on the tf.

Unless they enable the "Read-to-me" feature on the Nook app the NC will be unbeatable! Gonna install the Nook app now; after switching from the XOOM I completely forgot about that one!
Starting yesterday, my Nook app seems to repeatedly reset to page when I'm reading anything (magazine, eBook, etc). It will go blank, and then about a second or two later, the screen returns with the menu overlay. Happens about once a minute, makes it really hard to read. Odd that it just started happening.
I'm going to downgrade and root this week anyway so I can do a factory reset for 3.1, but I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this in case that doesn't fix things.

Xoom tremendous keyboard lag

Keyboard lag in forums/message boards when using all browsers, does anyone have a fix for it?

keyboard lag
Thanks for the quick reply. The problem with the lag in the keyboard is on all sites with message boards or forums...I.e. yahoo, YouTube, etc... I have no lag when doing emails or typing in notepad. I have tried half a dozen keyboards, but the problem persists.
I called Motorola, but they were more interested in telling me they have no fix because no one has complained about that before, and I could just return it.

Are you running Honeycomb 3.2? Keyboard lag is almost non existent for me on 3.2
My Xoom is out of commission and bricked. I'm trying to get it working.

Yes I have used several different browsers, but I get the same results.
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
The keyboard lag still exists in 3.2. It's pretty ridiculous that there isn't a fix yet.
On a side note:
Another thing that is annoying the hell out of me is when I pop up my keyboard and start typing it opens a random program.

How did you brick it. o-o
I hated that keyboard lag!! The only fix I ever found was to download thumb keyboard on the android market for honeycomb. This fixed the keyboard lag all across the board for me. I am on 3.1 on a 3G Xoom Stock. Too bad I had to pay to get a fix and if there is a fix without this keyboard then please post!

Ditto, I've used several browsers, always get lag, I love when it finally starts typing, but the first few letters are now just gone. Or when it finally starts showing characters, and the browser does a force close.

Modern Combat 4/Gyroscope Question

Does anyone have Modern Combat 4 on their tf300? I have downloaded it & tried playing a few games but my gyroscope is all messed up. When I try to look up my device looks to the right. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem & if you have found a fix for it. I have looked through all of the settings & I still can't find a setting for the gyroscope. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok. Thanks. At lease I know that it's not a hardware problem with my device. Is there not a way to fix this issue. Like maybe an app to calibrate the gyroscope and accellerometer on the tf300? I tried the in-game gyroscope calibration tool and it did nothing. I have searched and I haven't had any luck. Have you had this same issue with other games and apps that use the accellerometer and gyroscope? Sorry it took so long to reply. Tapatalk wouldn't let me reply for some reason. I had to get access to a computer.

No I don't know, as for now my tablet is on the table in pieces, in the middle of fixing.
I haven't really tried to fix this issue. Good luck and report back if you find a solution.

[Q] Autocorrect, anyone got it working?

If you do, how? I have tried many keyboards and can't get it working.
Thanks
Sv: [Q] Autocorrect, anyone got it working?
Well, the Swiftkey keyboard is in my opinion in a class of its own when it comes to auto correct so I reccomend you to give it a month. As with everything, getting used to such a thing takes some time.

I'm in the same boat. Can't get it working. I may even return this tablet if that doesn't work. My old verizon flip phone had auto correct for Christ's sakes.
It would seem that autocorrect only works in some programs and rarely if ever on webpages or address bars etc. Its not ideal.
