[Q] Help! System UI application has stopped - HTC Sensation

Hey developers, hello!!!
Last night I've chatting via Skype... My friend sended me a file, I start downloading and the phone becomes laggy/slow...
The notifications bar has stopped, I've tried to open it and the phone stuck in a loop
I've turned-off the screen, then I've turned it on... Later, later, the phone says me a message
Unfortunately System UI application has stopped
Click to collapse
And the phone "seems to be" in normal operation (the downloading is in progress but still laggy), but the notifications bar not shows.
Later the notifications bar appears and it stops again. Again, it shows the message
Unfortunately System UI application has stopped
Click to collapse
My phone had a LAG but at least 120MB has remaining of RAM.
-------------------
I've stopped the Skype app and the phone ¡VUALÁ! now in normal operations, no lag, no slow, no loops.
My question is ¿What can caused the lag, Skype or TurboBoost????
In the past I've downloaded files with turboBoost activated, and never my phone becomes laggy.
Any answer? What to do?
Thankyou very much. I attach two screenshots.

It might just be skype weighing heavily on resources, if you could get a logcat it would help more

[Q] problem : pop-up window saying 'helo' showing up every 3 mins

I recently moved to sparksmod 1.6.4 ROM on my HTC G1. The speed is awesome, love the interface. All is well except for an irritating pop-up that started showing up on my phone which just says "helo" and there is only an OK button. On pressing OK the pop up goes off. But it comes back again in the time interval of 3mins. Now when the phone is idle and the creen is locked, the popup keeps accumilating. When I pick up the phone to use it, I have have to keep pressing OK until all the windows close. Sometimes I have to do it 20 times and 5 times depending upon how long the phone is idle.
I am a novice, I depend on the threads online o resolve problems with my phone. XDA rocks for that.
I have also attached a screenshot of my phone screen with the popup window.
How can I stop this popup window from showing itself so many times?
You should have a look at that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926309&highlight=virus.
Thanks for the link. The problem was solved.
I called the service provider and turned out the problem was from the carrier end indeed.
Love XDA....
Thanks again

[Q] Nexus S suddenly very slow - error message

I love my nexus s, but suddenly the OS became very slow and I need help on where to start the trouble shooting.
It is the entire operating system -- even the touch screen.
I will pull down the notifications window and it will get stuck,
The browser select screen will pop up when I click on the "world" icon to open up the internet and after I select browser, there is a long pause before the background color appears (recognizing that I selected which browser) and then there is another long pause after recognizing that I selected it.
I have installed apps from other sources besides the android market.
At first I started thinking that I had too many apps running, so I started using the apps manager to force close the apps, but that did not help.
I tried restarting the phone multiple times with mixed results. Sometimes it would help a little, other times not at all.
I looked at how much room I had left on the internal drive and started moving more to the USB drive -- that didn't help.
I started wondering if I installed too many apps.
Then suddenly, when barely chugging alone to try to update a few apps (literally the install part was lagging -- not the download) I got an error message:
Error: Activity Android System(in process system) is not responding
It's funny -- when I want to replicate the error (as in right before writing this post - I cannot).
Thanks for your help on this matter.
Please instruct me on where to start trouble shooting.

root or no root?
no root. Thanks for fast reply.
my hunch is that an app was screwing something up.
There were a few that I wasn't updating because I didn't like how they started changing permissions. But maybe I should go through and update every app that I can... thoughts?

update is good. there could be an app freaking out holding up the system.
And at the worst case scenario you can do a factory reset (menu, settings, privacy) and see if that fixes it... of course you'll need to re-install your apps afterwards

I don't know how to check what launcher I use...
I don't even know what that is

try updating your apps. a factory reset will help, but that should be your last option. launcher apps replace the stock launcher, the thing you press to open the app drawer and that holds the phone app and such.
My phone was acting all sorts of crazy lately (couldn't connect to the internet amongst other random performance issues) and it turned out to be an app causing the problems. It was actually one of two apps. It was either Tetris or memory trainer. I deleted them right after one another so I'm not sure exactly... Just a heads up to be cautious if you're using these. For the record these apps were from the official Android market.

Clock app crashes now.

Hello,
My phone is non-rooted. Don't have many apps either.
Clock app worked once or twice and then once day just started crashing after it tries to launch. Phone becomes unresponsive and about 15 seconds later msg says. Unfortunately, Clock has stopped.
I tried rebooting the phone but same error shows.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] Continuously getting Unfortunatetly system ui has stopped working.

So after getting my moto g i use to get "Unfortunately system ui has stopped working" sometimes and then the status bar & navigation bar would disappears... The status bar and navigation bar would come back and it would relock the device which means system ui would restart automatically after tapping on "ok".
This would occur once a week and its not a big deal, bearable!
Since past week I have been continuously getting "Unfortunately system ui has stopped working"
1 The status bar & navigation bar disappears and wont come back.
2 Even after tapping on "ok", continuously getting" Unfortunately system ui has stopped working"
3 Background apps works like music
4 but screen wont turn on if left timed out but music keeps playing,
5 sometime the error disappears but screen does not respond but show my touch (enabled from developer settings)
the problem is system ui wont restart automatically. I have to reboot the phone by pressing lock button for around 10sec.
And this is happening everyday now!
Any idea whats wrong, my friend is facing this error too.
anyone?
@abhirulz94.... I don't say that this is necessarily the answer because I have never experienced your symptoms, but it might be an idea to adopt the old PC principle of ".... re-booting solves 99% of problems".... by this I mean restore a backup from before the fault occurred.... OR.... as a last resort flash the stock rom for your specific device.
Some people are having that sort of problem after switching to ART and apparently is related with Flipboard. If that's your case look for threads talking about art here at xda.

[Q] Slow Home Behavior

Hello everyone!
Let me start off by saying that i'm actually using an unrooted, officially update nexus 5, updated to the latest 5.0.1
I have no problem whatsoever, battery really seem to have improved, but lately i've been getting a strange behavior
After a period of use (it goes from a couple of days to a whole week) the phone oddly slows down when i press the middle button, to return back to the homescreen.
For example, if I'm using the facebook app, and watch a couple of videos along with opening a few external links, when i press the home button, the whole home "loads" from start. I mean, i literally see nothing for a second, then it slowly loads widgets and icons. After it's been loaded, everything works flawlessly again, but if i open facebook again, use it for a while and press the home screen, it loads again.
Mind that i have no custom drawer (i tried Themer, it gives me the same error, it says "loading homescreen" when the problem appears) but the problem is still there with the stock homescreen. I tried force-closing the apps i used, thinking about a memory issue, but to no avail. I have to turn off and turn on the device, and everything works wonders again.
Is there any app that could help me with this issue? I'd like to understand why it's doing this and which app is slowing down my phone.

I am not Sure whether this is 100% sure, But have heard that there is a memory leak issue in lollipop. Which might be the reason of ur problem. And the oly way get enough memory is to restart. But again, I am not Sure whether the above information is correct though.

I've heard that too, but it's strange that it has appeared only now. I haven't had this kind of issue ever since i updated it.
The FB app is just real buggy. My personal theory is whatever that app does exposes the Lollipop memory leak.

Yep i know about that, the FB app is just horrible script-wise. Nevertheless, i've never had THIS problem. And even if i forceclose it, it doesn't solve the problem anyway.
