I have middle east chacha
After S-OFF and unlock my keyboard has problem
My chacha has "Lang" button for switch between arabic and english language
And after s-off and unlock this button changing to "Tab"
And if i wanna use arabic keyboard must chang my language phone to arabic and then use arabic keyboard
I need help
i have the same problem but no one know anything about it i searched the net for the solution but no.
i wish i did not do s-iff cus the keyboard is important more than the s-off
please help

I guess you install a ROM without getting a back up from your Original ROM !
because when I S-OFF, Unlock and Root my chacha, I still had my Multi-LANG keyboard
But if you are Iranian and use YAS guaranty for your chacha, you can go to the YAS service center and pay for restore.
that's just the solution

I want to know the HTC Chacha was able to write or read Arabic language ? For example you try to open this site and show me what you seen . ( with Android browser or Firefox or UC or...)
And is "input method" enable on Chacha when you want to write a message ? ( for install Arabic keyboard )
And I want to know is possible to map Chacha keyboard to another language ? for example you press "D" bottom and wrote "ی" ?

Why is not any answer ?
With the latest OTA update yes you can read arabic perfectly... I haven't tried writing though...

Can use other input method ? Such as "Anykeyboard"
Yes, sure you can ... yesterday i got one from Nasa (nasa4ppc . com) (Middle East Version) with full arabic Keypad. you can read & write ...
Really it's excellent device .. I love this ChaCha
Just tap into the "text input" for two seconds till yo see " copy , past , input method "
then chose input method. finally, chose the desire language
for Arabic >> chose : Arabic keyboard
for English >> chose : touch input
In Arabic keyboard you can swap easy between Arabic and English language.
Android phones in Canada do not support the Arabic language for some reason. The letters are all disjointed which makes it really hard to read.
I'm waiting for HTC to unlock the boot loader so I can download an Arabic ROM for it!
Edit: I recently found out that Sony Ericsson supports reading and writing in Arabic. It's the only company to do so in Canada......... for now!!!!!
You Have Lots Of Ways
Well,you can use several keyboards.like Persian Soft keyboard and Smart Keyboard Pro.
They both support QWERTY keyboard, But I suggest you PERSIAN SOFT KEYBOARD which supports Arabic & Persian as it's name goes so.
hi everyone
i had a new XE and i love it so much
but the problem is i don't have normal English
all the language sittings are, Singapore ,Vietnamese, Chinese ...etc
i contacted the company and they said that the only way to change that is to root the phone
but i don't need to change anything at my XE .... only change the language
i am OK with losing the warranty but nothing else
i need my phone to be the same no change at all only changing the language
please help me ASAP
i am in the (middle east ) so its better to get some Arabic on it
please tell me what to do ......... its my first android experience

You can find it in the market
Go through this guide and follow steps 1-9. It is complete except that since you have an XE, for step 2 download this file, RUU_Pyramid_LE_HTC_Europe_1.72.401.1_Radio_10.58.9035.00, then when finished, the phone will update over the air (OTA) to the Arabic rom.

My ChaCha doesnt read the arabic language correctly, its viewed in separated letters, my Phone is S-On but i recently Unlocked the Bootloader using the HTC Dev website and i installed the ClockWork Recovery and rooted it.
Is there a way to enable the arabic thing for S-on rooted ChaCha

I have just flashed the ROM in the above link, still can't write Arabic, when i choose Arabic input it writes English, please advise i don't know what's wrong

Hello fellow xda members,
I have an unlocked, rooted, recovery(r2-modaco-recovery-clockwork-touch-ville), supercid (11...) and S-OFF HTC One S, the rom I trying to find is :
RUU_Ville_U_HTC_ISR_1.84.461.11_Radio_0. 17.31501S. 10_2_10.27.31501S.10L_release_266327_sig ned.exe
please correct me but that ruu is for israel market and therefore potentially has Arabic in it, I've tried the app MoreLocale 2 which completely changed the language to Arabic but it didn't add a HTC Sense Arabic keyboard, I tried this:
"enter on Settings and Apps and click on All and looking for Customization Settings Provider and press it Then press Force stop and after Disable then Return back and open the applications and looking for Setup and open it and Return to the list of languages you will see that the Arabic language within the language"
but couldn't find a "Customization Settings Provider", I know I can get a custom rom with Arabic but I prefer HTC sense Arabic keyboard feel, and since my phone is S-OFF I should be able to use the Israeli ruu.
Interesting fact is the two countries that had Arabic in app MoreLocale (local version info extracted from the stock rom) were Israel and Egypt, hence there potentially could be a second ruu out there with Arabic for HTC Ville S4, any info is appreciated.
