Hello....!
I am new to android and i recently buy galaxy ace (gt-5830i). I downloaded many apps and now it shows internel memory full.
Please help me.

move your app data to sdcard

Already did that...
But problem is still there.
Apps needs the internal space. Which is only 190mb.

Root your ace and use titanium backup to force move apps to SD card or use app2sd

I am currently using app2sd.
But still low memory..
And about root. i am a noob.
How we root?

This guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552792 and hey do some research before you post something. If that doesnt work use AceGingerRoot.zip (just search on google) instead of the update.zip file.

First of all Thank u for your time
I googled every thing..
1) root - i will geve u the adminstrative rights.
2) flash - it will change your firmware (operating system).
But what are the advantages of rooting or flashing?

hi mate... the use of rooting is to change some feature within you device for the better, i have just rooted my s5830 and put Adrenaline rom on and its amazing... very fast and reliable with support form the creator... here is the thread...

if you are not sure about flashing then youtube it as there was a very simple vid i watched... no need for pc either... i did all my updating on my memory card

To the OP: I think you have the new Ace which has a different chip set. There is a guide to root your phone and install CWM in XDA.
DO NOT flash firmwares, kernels, cROMs for gt5830 because it will brick your phone.

i was not aware of the gt 5830i.... have just done a quick google and didnt come up with any specs or reviews... how new compared to the gt5830 is it

adrenaline is a stock rom which to has all the rubbish removed to make the phone perform faster....
on an untouched rom that comes with the phone on purchase has quite a lot of stuff that runs in the background and slows the phone down, fills up caches and phone memory
so the idea with a custom rom is to achive the best the phone can run and conserve power but still be fast and reliable
if wot 'thatdefault' has said it correct then you will need to search a littledeeper and find another rom.... try a google search for GT5830i and see wot you get

Gt5830i uses broadcom instead of qualcomm and touch screen issue is fixed. The new galaxy mini uses broadcom too.

ah i see.... was unaware of this phone.... and didnt think gt 5830 had touch issues...

Some devices have faulty touch screens.

I've a very similar phone model to yours (gt5830c), everything you should know about rooting this device is in this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552792 .
Rooting went well with no errors at all.

Rooting and flashing r 2 diff things?
If i flash it will root automatically?
Or i have to do both separately?

i think you need to root before you flash a rom either off ya sd or via odin.... am not 100% bout this though... just done a Google search and all are giving a guide to root first.... it is a very simple process.... i will try to find the YouTube video i watched..... in the video he said something bout reducing the app heap size

I had flashed Sweet Rom v10 in my Note 1.Now I need to update it to v11.So for that ,do I have to flash it again from scratch or Is there some way to update it from my device?

Just look up to your previous ROM.. Is there a feature to update ROM automaticly by your device?.. Look at setting then About Phone. maybe little different but some is similar.
Other options is going to your ROM coocker forum and read carefuly how to make safe update.

Thanks for your help .But In options when when i try to update,it shows there is no update.So i am not able to update to v11.Also you mentioned about rom coocker forum.I mean where i can find that?..

I'm not sure which version of the Note you have but looking at Sweet Rom v11 for the GT-N7000, it says Factory reset and to back up your current rom with Nandroid. I recomend you follow the guide for the phone you have step-by-step.

But.. Did you forget search feature or some big like google search engine?. Just typing what do you want. Hint... just type sweet rom 11 note 7 and tap "search"

[Q] how can i restore my phone?

i have htc legend . i have messed it up. recovery isin't working and the phone can't turn on.... just bootloader and if i try to turn on phone it stucks on boot logo. also i think imessed up the phone drivers and now i even can't go to fastboot usb mode. no pc can't reconize my phone and it says that the phone is uknown(it detects but... ;/) any help?

this is just like factory reset and for my problem it will do nothing.... i need that framework reinstals to stock again... do you know how? no pc (i mean drivers messed up)and no recovery

I don't think there's any possibility to bring your phone back to life without PC or recovery ....can't you download the drivers for your phone and connect it afterwards with PC?

Good luck, cuz this happened to me once and nothing could fix it so i gave it to my phone company (Samsung) they said it was dead but i had warranty so the replaced my phone..!!:thumbup:

Okay ....you don't seem to have find any solution till now.
main problem is that you can't connect to pc.....a little bit to simple but have you already tried some tutorials on YouTube? Just need to type "how to unbrick HTC "

Maybe your area 'Eastern Europe' is not affected by this update for now.

but i m having some problems.....sometimes my apps doesnt open..whenever i click on the app a blank screen shows and then immediately moves to the homescreen....this mostly happens when after using my phone i lock it and aftr sometime start to use it....to make the apps work again i have to restart my phone.......this all keeps on going in a circle
plzz help me
if i posted it in wrong forum thenn plz guide me where should i post it

This doesn't mean that there is an Update available for your Device, Samsung just wants you to register to inform you if there is any.
If Kies says that you have the latest firmware, thats the case.
But it's still strange that you can't register. Is your device rooted or in any other way modified?

This might be the reason why you can't register.
But, as I already said, there seems to be no update available for your device. If you want a new Android OS, install a custom ROM on your phone. I suppose for an update by Samsung you can wait forever

i made a flashable zip for Bypassing lockscreen security password, pin, pattern, etc....
Works on all variants
Steps:
1 - Download the zip FILE
2 - Flash the file throw any custom recovery

Hi there, rather new to all this. Just wondering how i go about flashing the unit with this file? I have ever flashed a phone before (although I think i understand the basics having done it on PC/laptops a few times) Sorry for my ignorance, but im new to all of this.
The reason i need it is i have a customers S4 that no longer displays the keyboard at the initial lock screen and therefore nothing can be put in the passcode field.
Edit: Although reading one of the above comments "it would be awesome if we can get it working with stock recovery." I'm guessing this is not going to work for this case?

You can flash a custom recovery and after you finish your job, you can flash the stock recovery again without losing any data

i just flashed it and device got stuck at samsung logo, it's "GT19505 ". any way fix ?

Does this even work with an encrypted device? If so, what would be the point of encrypting my phone if it can be so easily removed?
nvm. I tested it myself and it does not work on an encrypted device.

First of all sorry for bumping this thread. It is just that I can't contain myself. I was locked of my phone, I have a Galaxy Grand running Lollipop. Last night I set a pattern, I did not like the first one so I changed it but when I rebooted it won't accept any of the 2 patterns I've set. I was losing hope and was about to face the dreadful factory reset button but then I found this and placed the file via a Guest account then flashed it in recovery. All of a sudden BOOOOOOM I rebooted and the pattern was gone. All thanks to you good sir! I hope I could smash the thanks button more than once. :victory:

Please does this work on a stock Rom??
