Thanks Tylor...I did that no go...I also did a factory reset and same thing...Looks like a hardware issue...I am not sure if my tf700 is still under warranty!:crying:
Use this guide to try reflashing 4.2.1. Make sure you backup everything first, data and apps.

fixed bluetooth
i had lost BT after updating to 4.2. ota. I found this fix which worked for me. you need to be rooted. I use ROM toolbox, and rebooted after changing the file permissions. all fixed.
/system/vendor/lib/libbt-vendor.so to rw-r--r-- (it was rw-------).

hey guys i wanted to try the stock jb from asus but im on running the great hydro ATM and i wanted to know the eaisest way to update it, could i just download the update file from asus and extrct it once and put it on my sd card and let the tablet do the hard work, and use voodoo to keep root???
Hydro for JB is rooted - no need for the stock JB to be rooted, just install JB.hydro

I was also a little confused at first.
But I just started with downloading the update from asus, unzipped once - placed that fil in root on the internal sdcard.... and when the notification about update came, I let that run to the tf was on JB.
The fastboot and flashed TWRP - and from the TWRP I did all the clear cashes etc and installed JB-hydro... now on 1.3.2 - just running perfect

Hey guys, i think I bugged up my infinity by uninstalling stuff. I'm considering doing the update trick (download n rename) to reflash Jb. I have root currently but I'm wondering will I lose it by doing this? I really don't want to unlock to root jelly or try downgrading to .30
Thanks guys

You will lose root if you flash full package. Basically, it will wipe everything before it update. Your option for locked bootloader is to downgrade back to .30 using full package from Asus website, root it and save root with OTA root keeper, then let the OTA upgrade back to JB, restore root with root keeper, you're good as new.
Ok I hope you all can help sort something out for me. I just got a refurbished TF300T a couple days ago. I unlocked it in ICS and then it forced the OTA of 4.1.1 on me. I had no problem getting ADB drivers in and flashed the jelly bean recovery. I rebooted into recovery and there was cwm. I tried flashing the rootzip that is out there but it did not work. I then tried to do a bakup and it failed. I then realized i could not see emmc only sd.
Any ideas.
I have a rooted modded nooktab so i am somewhat familar with these devices but i am stumped.
Thanks for the help

I'd try manually flashing the firmware and then flashing CWM again, or TWRP which some users will argue is much better than CWM.

Thanks for the tips. Yea in a tough spot. Not sure what to do. I will, search around. You think flashing the firmware will work. Should i flash stock recovery too.
Odd issue. Wonder why they did this?

Just read the post again if you are still on 4.1.1 the disreguard what i had mention theres probably away to fix which im sure some one can help but what i had talked about was the 4.2.1 jb update attempting to root on that is a no go. So just ignore that post. I'm on stock 4.2.1 but unlocked bootloader so can't help there cant go any further myself at the moment.
In my setup menu theres an option to add seperate users some seem to think that it encrypts the information so another person who has access under another user name cant see another person info. Sound logical to me but really messed things up for us.
Now still thats all just speculation no one knows for sure what the exact issue is with the 4.2.1 update is yet but best advice is to wait till it's figured out.

Reflashing stock img will flash back stock recovery, so I'd just do what I said, you should be good.
I have heard that doing a system update on a rooted device might mess things up so I am asking if 10.6.1.14.8 update is worth the trouble to re root the device?
a re-root is pretty quick on MotoChopper isn't it?
Or just use OTA_rootkeeper
I'm on 10.6.1.14.8, unlocked and rooted, and would like to install CROMi-Xenogenesis 4.6.1. Is it safe to do so or do I need 10.6.1.14.4 as it's stated in the Cromi-x thread?
It will work fine mate
Thank You Sir!
But do I need to un root before doing the update or? If it is even possible to un root.

If you are rooted you can update fine. Either use ota root keeper or motochopper to reroot as you will lose root during the upgrade process. Also make sure you haven't deleted any Asus system apps or modified them else the ota update process will fail.

Thanks much. I'm here banging my head. I knew something was fishy when I no longer see the developer option.

Try: Device/storage/emulated/0
The file system on JB 4.2 is driving me mad! Just hate it! The stock file browser just "knows" where to look, but I am used to having control of my file structure and this just sucks!
It's due to the multiple user account option in 4.2 supposedly.... and I don't use that anyway

I figured it out for tf700t it's in /removable
Took the jump and rooted, unlocked and put Clean ROM on my tablet.
What a huge difference.....
Everything is working great, except I can't get Flash to work in my browser.
I downloaded the newest version of Flash, and installed it, then re-installed Boat Browser, still doesn't work.
Any ideas? Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks for the help....

So am I.... Have you tried other browsers? Does it work in the stock browser?
Certainly works for me...

Should work in the stock browser without any changes. I even included the very latest version in 4.7.
