Hi!
Im quite new to xda forums. However i have a big problem. I bricked my GT-S5839i (not s5830i) trying to flash razodroid v2.5.
Thanks to XDA i managed to unbrick following your instructions! But im wondering how most of the people owning this model of galaxy ace
managed to flash it with no problem and yes i followed all the instructions on how to flash it properly.
But bricked my phone twice!
Please can someone help me try to make it work next time. Im pretty sure maybe its due to different kernals.
If its because of that can someone post the links to the proper kernal and instructions how to flash it.
I currently have XXLA2 kernal flashed and with this Custom Rom (Deodexed ROM ) with ICS look for the samsung galaxy ace s5830i by rajrocks working nicely for the GT-S5839i, but i like the looks of Razodroid better!!
I would appreciate someones help.

same here mate!!.. i won a galaxy fit too.
i tried z4root method on my Galaxy Fit...
it got hanged after few seconds...
let me know if anyone got success in rooting Galaxy Fit...
Instead of z4root use superoneclick. it works. worked for me.
Could you please let me know how to root the device..
Thanks in advance..
SuperOneClick works on default Froyo 2.2 ROM for rooting. Samsung is now releasing 2.3.3 gingerbread firmware which is far better than Froyo. I will be posting an article on how to get it now rather than waiting for it to be released in India. Stay tuned...

I guess both are same phones
Here the link to CF-ROOT which will root your phone -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253
U can download the file and flash it via odin . Read the instructions on the thread .
Or u can use BAM kernel -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355675. Flash the universal CF-ROOT from the thread.
After u root it u can download any of the Jellybean or ICS zip files and flash it from recovery.
There are many jellybean roms .
Ports by Lolation are amazing. Supernexus , Jellybam are one the good ones .
Thanks a ton for the reply dude. Will try it and let you know...
I am new to rooting and stuff.
i have DDKP2 gingerbread firmware .I want to root it and flash CWM on it..
Then i want to flash JB or ICS ROMS ..
can someone please guide me?
I would be really grateful.
Bro just go to development section and find a rom by lolation. All his roms have detailed instructions to flash even if you are in gb.
Good luck!!!

I root my device and it was successful. Thanks for your advice. My Main aim behind rooting is to run games like temple run, rail rush. After rooting i install chainfire 3d and downloaded temple run for armv6. Now with some lags it is working fine. But games like rail rush, temple run 2, temple run brave are still not working. So how to run them and also I have many apk files like ae3d motor, pyramid run etc. which are not installing. So I want to know how to install them and run them in my sgy duos.

You said "it breaked my device", is it permanently lose your device or could you reset or restore the phone..?
Youre Phone musst be full. Download Odin and the kernel you want( it must be compatible with your phone). Connect your device with the PC/laptop and go to the download Moden.
So...you go to PDA and choose the tar data of the kernel. If there is no tar maybe you have to extract it. The options from Odin should be so and dont change anything. Then click Start. If it finished unconnect you phone and enjoy....

Hi Alawi_
You saw if the ROM that you are trying to flash in your ace plus is for the same model of your phone? Because exist many models for ACE PLUS, for example, my phone is ACE PLUS GT-S5700L (Latin American Version) and I tried to flash a ROM to model GT-S5700 (International Version) and my phone stopped working, it don`t boot anymore, and i had to flash the stock version (GB 2.3). Then, it returns to normal boot.
Take a look at this,
Goog Luck!

any advice?
I'm thinking to get (GB 2.3), but if i can get jelly bean it would bet better
thanks for replying
You are probably using the wrong Recovery Mode. Choose a different one (I recommend CWM 6.0.3.3)
probably you want to refer here first before porting any Custom ROM or doing Tweaks or Modification; :silly:

by lokeshsaini94, credits goes to him,
