Do you know anyone else in the area on your carrier? it's possible that they're having trouble. Also, in the future, bugs with a particular ROM can be posted in that ROM's thread.

Otherwise, if you restored some backup, try reflashing and not restoring any backups or apps, and see if it's the rom or your backup.
thank you both i figured it out i had wifi on because service is terrible here so i turned it of and i can send pics now .

just disable wifi calling when you plan to send pics you can have wifi on and service

Make a backup of your messaging app, then replace it with this one. Will take about 5 minutes to know if it works, rather than waiting for an answer.
When u Try to download it says it downloads successfully but i can't find it any where on my phone, If i click on open after the dl it says file type not supported?

Because it's a .zip. Unzip it and it'll be in there.
It does work but can't receive or send pic messages.

I have no issues sending and receiving mms. Just tried it and it works just fine. Do you have your APN setup correctly? Is your RIL matching your baseband?

I had the same issue too, backed up old mms reinstalled and MMS works again, im on the phone with tmobile as I type to see if they can get it working with the updated black .apk if not its back to stock for me

How did you guys installed the Black MMS? Did you flash it under Recovery or did you just replaced the apk file? Did you clean the cache, Dalvik cache and fix permissions?

Just flashed and very smooth. Took me a little trial & error to find the menu option that would put everything in english. Apparently my chinese is a bit rusty. :laugh:

*Only able to get Edge reception on T-mobile.
*Tried to reboot into recovery and it rebooted back to system.
Just like Phoenix it was a bit of trial and error. Similar issues, for some reason GetRil doesn't want to offer the current baseband. Weird.

It's the old baseband, if you have the new baseband use Owain's fix. Just use the most current gingerbread gapps.

It is a nice ROM. But the baseband/ril issue is a bummer. My battery was dying fast and 3g was intermittent.
Between Lezo and Joy OS, it's difficult to say which I like better at the moment. I'll watch for updates. Nice work and Shendu is amazing!

Exchange Sync
When I try to sync up with my work email using the exchange server I get a meesage saying "remote security authorization required". That is normal, the issue I have though is I get a force close everytime I try to click the message to "allow" the remote authorization.
Any ideas?

Go to setting and find the Aa symbol and change the first tap to English.

I did until I change the APN settings. I got these from the G2x tmobile support forum. After I changed the APN settings I rebooted into recovery, "fixed permissions" and now get "3G" no problem.

Update:
I installed a third party email app and have no problem with my work "exchange" email using that program.

Does anyone know how to create new folders? Also, the utility folder can have only 9 apps... correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, does anyone else have the issue with the battery not showing the correct percentage? I just get a ? mark in the battery bar.

My baterry percentage is showing correctly, and I see you also have the problem on Lezo. If you use a theme, does it still show (?) ? My only thought is systemui.

I only see "1x" in the status bar. I did a speedtest. While it says 1x, I get 6971kbps down and 1661kbps up. So.....

Been using fundozz's pureview miui rom and loving it, however I am unable to download picture texts (mms). I've tried playing with the apn settings and used an app that automatically sets up the apn for you, still no go.Did a full wipe before install, on T-Mobile USA. Any advice?

You might have to enable data to receive and send mms. This is a problem for me and doing this solves it. Then if you don't have a data plan just disable it after.

Thanks for the response. Data is enabled. It seems to be downloading for about a minute then just fails?

Yes. Working on recent roms such as gsnap, GingerDX, even JB paranoidandroid works. Seems to be just pureview?

Alright so I installed go SMS. It received a picture just fine.. maybe its just the stock app? Which I would prefer to use over go SMS.
Maybe you could use the stock messaging apk from another ROM?
Ok so deleted go SMS.. now when someone sends a mms I get a fc.. something something.mms? Went into msg app and it fails to download again.
Would it be possible to unzip another miui rom and just install the message app apk?

As far as pulling a stock sms app from another cm7 based miui, it causes forcecloses. SMS app doesnt even open after installing the .apk.
As far as the APN settings, ive googled and searched, and everything ive tried is still a no go. Used an app from the store called Twweaker? Sets the APN for you, still no go.
Weird.
After install of the LS rom, the farthest it got on boot up, was the "Liquid smooth" Logo screen. I went back and reloaded 4.1.1. What could I have done wrong

If there would be a reset involved , I guess I'd wait for a rom that don't have to reset. It' so time comsuming to bring the phone back to where you were. Not so much the loss of picture sor music , it's more of the emails and contact merging.
Unless you really feel it's worth it then I'll consider

sorry to hear that about ur device but wouldnt it help u better to ask that question on that roms page,i understand ur problem but i dont use liquid, so best advice i can give is to get ur phone into recovery mode and use a different rom and before u add the rom wipe ur cache
4.2 ROMs are still in beta mode. Expect little hiccups when you flash them. OK took me a few times of flashing before it worked for me.

gmail should automatically sync contacts and emails unpon phone set up. (cant take more then 5 minutes)
also look into titanium backup for individual app data.
wiping data and factory reset is a MUST for installing new ROMs.
if you think you "dont have the time for it", then i highly recommend you stay on your rom and read comments from others using the rom to see if it is worth the reset or you could just give up and go buy an iphone.

Honestly, I just had to say this is absolutely not true in all circumstances. Yes you should do so 8/10 times, but I can say personally that I've flashed over another ROM many times with no issues. Granted usually it was a new build of the same ROM and never going from say 4.0>4.1.2 or 4.1.2>4.2
Best of luck, I had some serious issues with Liquidsmooth (via a clean install) so I dumped it but hopefully it works out for you.

Ok, I'll resolve to fact that the LS Rom is in development and I should wait for a true version down the road. . Due to the situation I went back to the stock Rom and re-routed the phone. Since then, any Google search or Nav search, I get a Google error that Google has stopped working. I'll get the alert but the program will still work
Any ideas on what could of happened? Before the LS install, I had the recent stock Rom ( 4.1.1- I535VRBLK3) and was routed with no errors
Also, has anyone seen a tether app that works with JB. It seems that none of the tether apps work. I've noticed that on web searches of other forums and from the comments from users of the GNU.org program

But I feel like your just gambling another 30 minutes of seeing or not a wipe is needed.
