if im not mistaken, first you should update official asus 4.2.1 to get newer bootloader before flashing 4.2. based energyROM.
i belive now you have 4.1.1 bootloader, right?
edit: nevermind, missed the cm10.1 -part..

Check the md5sum of the ROM...something may be corrupt
you must first update to 4.2.1 bootloader before you can flash roms based on the 4.2.1 bootloader, silly.

No it runs on the 4.1.1 boot loader. Just cuz its android 4.2.2 does NOT mean that its runs on Asus 4.2.1.

Hi guys i've been looking through the forums and i have noticed that the tf700 users can flash our roms! I was wondering did anyone try flashing one of their roms with our device?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using XDA Premium HD app
Just checked over there we have more updated roms anyway there development seems slow that why they have to port ours lol.
Sent from my SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
I agree but in the long run development for their device should pick up and surpass the development we have for ours. So if we find a way to use there roms it will lengthen the amount of content for our tablet.
BUMP! I'd like to get an answer to this as well. It seems that everything is the same other then an LED. Has any tried flashing one of their Roms?
I flashed the TF700 Stock Rom Was trying to get back to ICS. Stock flashed and was running. But then you have the tf700 bootloader
So you can flash them.

Why isn't it possible to flash ics bootloader after having installed jb bootloader? I have done the opposite on other devices

Because Asus has given us a new bootloader which asks for a special signiture in the rom you are flashing. ICS don´t have them, so it is not possible.

Although I thank you for the answer, my question wasn't why we can't flash ICS ROMS, my question is why we can't flash ICS bootloaders in order to be able to flash ICS ROMS.

becouse recovery too has this signature - basically the difference between an ics custom recovery and a jb custom recovery is that they copied the jb kernel to the latter, or it wont work too.
its a new security feature that google added to jb but asus is using it in a weird way, once you do a jb upgrade you wont be able to run any kernel without this feature, which is not supported by ics.
there must be a way ... i want to flash CM9
I'm not sure why would you want an ICS ROM in Jelly Bean era.
Check out this thread, it's the best JB ROM I've tried.

Hi
Im currently running CleanRom 3. I want to try out the new Cyanogenmod 4.2. In the description it says CWM, but i use TWRP [latest one i think]. Is it possible to install it without installing clockwork?
No U can't. Cyanogenmod after succesfull instlling, will modify CWM recovery. If you had TWRP, It would hard brick your Tablet. I'm not Quite Sure, but everyone installs CM on CWM. You'd better be carefull if you don't want to have very expensive desk.
Sorry, becouse my english isn't very well, I hope I helped you.
I use Twrp 2.2.2 all the time and. No issues with any of the 4.2 roms.
Yes you can use twrp. Just make sure you use the latest version add that is fixed for multi user support introduced with 4.2 jelly bean. Goto twrp website to make sure you have the latest. That guy in the first reply is wrong saying you have to use cwm.

It is listed as one of the features of cleanrom to zip align on boot. I have read that when apps are zip aligned that performance is better.

I'm sorry if you haven't previously been on cleanrom or one of the others that uses zipalign then I don't know the reason for your issue.
I'll try to do some poking around to emulate the problem. Stock, which version? I run 10.4.2.18 as my baseline rom and have never seen your issue. What rom were you on previously?
I'll flash your previous setup and then your current to recreate the issue!

I have this same "issue" but it dont mind it. And i think its jb problem coz on xplay with jb (cm10+aokp) its "upgrading" too

Well it started when I use energy ROM, but then I move to stock ROM .18 then .20. Both .18 and .20 when I wipe cache and dalvik cache once then it started...Maybe it's because I have official zip (.20) in my eternal memory... But I don't think that's the problem. Now I'm using CM10.1.

Good, I'm glad you have managed to lose the problem. I have not been able to create the issue with energy rom. After flashing I don't have the problem or zipalign. I flashed both the regular and the debloated without an issue but as I said I don't find zipalign in the rom even though it is stated as a feature.

Why do you think it is an issue? It takes 3 sets to complete. It's just a bug, ignore it and worry about something more serious :victory:
Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my tablet. When I try to install CM10.1 on my TF300T now, it won't boot. I've had it installed in the past, but for some reason it doesn't want to work now. Has there been some sort of change that would cause this? I can install CM10 on it, which I would have no problem using, but for some reason the AOSP Keyboard crashes every time I tap a text box, so I have no way of getting anything done. Any insight you could provide would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I did full wipes left and right. It will sit there on the Asus screen for a while, and occasionally restart itself.

Is there a guide on how to do this? I would assume update from inside the stock Asus rom, but I don't know which version to install from their website.

check my post in the thread i linked (post 12 there ) - even if it is for a total softbrick - you can follow those steps to flash the stockrom and then install cm10.1 or 10.2
i did it and alot of others did it too so it should work for you as well. it basically wipes your whole device so fastboot will work to push the blob. boot one time into stock and then install cwm/twrp and install from there cm from extsdcard
