Samsung Galaxy S 4g for $39.99

Just an FYI that Cosco is selling these phones for $39.99
Just walked into a store today and saw this price - talked with the rep, it does require you to renew a two year contract. They also had the Samsung Galaxy SII for $199.99 but that is the same price T-Mobile is selling them for.
Just some General FYI info:
:'( Just some months ago and I bought it for 200$ with a 2-year contract... sighs

+1, got 2 for free back then during a 2 or 3 day T-mobile internet special. Couldn't pass it up.
Got mine (refurbished) for $50 in June w/2 year contract. Sold it last week for a G2x
bought mine for 220 about 2 months ago off contract
I got mine for $500 off contract... T- mobile Loyalty plan. My bill went from $103 - $84 a month though so I guess it works out to a couple hundred at the end of the year.
has anyone confirmed this? I am looking into getting one

Mine was a free replacement after 2 MT4Gs failed. Now T-Mo is replacing it with another SGS4G.
I guess I am hard on my phones....

Upgrade

I've heard of ATT allowing upgrades earlier than the expected date. How many months in advance would they let you upgrade without the 250$ fee?

Photon Q at Best Buy for $49 now

In case anyone was still on the fence but considering it, now's a good time to jump...saw someone over on Phandroid post about getting one for this price and verified for myself:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Motorola+-+Photon+Q+Mobile+Phone+-+Black+(Sprint)/6036051.p?id=1218716261717&skuId=6036051&contract_desc=
So glad I just spent 2 hundo on mine...
Sent from the collective. Resistance is futile.
Had I waited a week I would be fine. Went last week when it was $99. Ah well, better than 2 bills Sprint still wants.
This makes me wonder if the plan on supporting this thing. Shame, as for a phone whither a physical keyboard its pretty nice

You can pay to have your upgrade early, it only cost me 35 to bump it up a few months.

Bestbuy will pricematch other retailers as long as retailer has the phone in stock, so bb should price match costco's price.

New phone every year - Australia

I want a phone plan that gives me a new phone every year, do any exist?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I don't think there is any companies that will do it. I know some of them will let you upgrade after 6 months but you will be paying extra on your bill.
Sent from my LG-P690 using xda app-developers app
Vodafone do 1 year contracts, you just pay a monthly handset payment.
Sent from my EndeavorU using xda premium
Im not sure how different Australia is for phone plans but what I would do in the USA is buy the phone unlocked & brand new for $500-800 USD and pay by the month to which ever carrier/mvno you like.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda app-developers app
So far I've gotten a new phone every year because my girlfriend and I share a plan and she never uses her upgrades. So this year both of our phones are due to upgrade and I will be getting the SIV and will probably give her my SIII (last year I got the 3 and gave her my 2).

Jumping to T-Mobile

Do anyone believe this new concept by T-Mobile will very users to leave the "Big Three" cellphone providers?
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
Tmobile certainly thinks so
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I'm not sure if it would financially make sense especially since you have to turn in your phones and buy new phone.
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
If you are planning to switch, you'll end up saving a ton of money. It's a great option to have. Tmobile making big, smart moves, plus John Legere crashed at&t's party at CES. He's hilarious.

My concern is if I move my five lines which I pay $200 now will rise in cost because I would either have to pay for five phones outright or finance them which will add at least another $100 to a bill that would be about $160 before taxes.
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
Why do you people have so many lines?
I have 3, because there are 3 of us.

Nexus 5 is $0 down/$16.50 month right now, so $82.50 a month in top of existing plan (but you'd get 5 Nexus 5's!).

Everyone may not want the Nexus 5. That can be an issue. Especially with my wife. Lol.
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
It was just an example, there are other $0 down phones, too (and you can expect some deals may pop up for Valentine's day).
My wife wouldn't want a nexus, either. She's addicted to qwerty.
However, I don't see any reasonable qwerty phones out there, since the Galaxy Relay 4G (which she has now).

My wife is addicted to the iPhone. I just don't want to pay more than what I'm paying right now. If I can stay at that $200 price, I'm all in.
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, if you wait until the end of your contract, you can carry over any compatible devices. It might be the better option.
Who are you with now? Just for fun I checked on Verizon and for slightly less data, they want $300/month for 5 lines.
