Do I need to relock the bootloader to use PC Companion for latest stock? - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

I want to go back to stock for now Xperia J, and do I need to relock the bootloader or just use SEUS/PC Companion to flash latest stock?
Thanks in advance.

If you are on a custom rom then you need to download the stock ftf file and flash it using flashtool to get PC Companion or SEUS to work.
You don't need to unlock bootloader.

Yes you need

I'm asking about re-locking it, it is already unlocked. Can I have more opinions? I don't want to brick the phone.

download the ICS ftf, flash, then relock bootloader.

Sony PC companion requires locked bootloader to work bro.
Since you are already on unlocked bootloader, you can just download the ftf file you want and flash it using flashtool. Using flashtool you can flash firmwares on both locked and unlocked bootloaders

You need a locked bootloader and any stock ROM to update through PC companion.

Xperia l update
Hello guys. I'm new to this forum and i have one simple question.
I have an Xperia L c2105 rooted and with unlocked bootloader. Today when I connected it to my pc i received a notification from PC Companion with an update. I couldn't update it because the program said that I have a modified software or something like that.
Can I update my phone without losing root and with the bootloader unlocked? If i flash the stock rom update do i lose root and my bootloader will be locked?
PS: Sorry for my english, i hope you can help me deal with this...:good:
C'mon guys no one can help me?

Firstly, updates via pc companion or SUS requires lock bootloader..if you have TA backup just restored it and it will be updated officially.
Second...Flashing new firmware will erased everything and your bootloader still will be unlocked if throu flashtool..
Third...when using flashtool, there are a few choices you can make like saving your data and etc but its recommended to wipe everything..
your data etc can be backup using 3rd party app..
The easiest way to root is using extended stock kernel v6 kernel..It has built in root and its binaries..
Thank you very much. I didn't save TA when I unlocked the bootloader so I assume that I can't get it locked. So in this case I will do the update trough flashtool. After flashing the update I will just restore root. Have a nice day

Relock bootloader through Flashtool, click on "BLU" and relock. After that flash the right stock .ftf file, so you'll have locked and unrooted device. Like just buy.

You are stuck in a bootloop. You need to flash your stock ftf file using flash tool.
And you should have used rootkit to root your phone, and it doesn't unlocks bootloader so there is no chance of bootloop. And you could've unlocked bootloader after it.
it was just an advice... the thing u need to do now is to flash stock ftf
thanks for your replies, i just use flashtool to may XL and now its back to normal
thanks again

[Q] D6603 Cm12

Can anyone please help me with a guide to uninstall CM12, relock bootloader and revert to stock ROM on Xperia Z3. I installed CM12 but i don`t like it , i searched on the internet for instructions but they didn`t work, I tried with flashtool but it doesn`t recognize the phone.
To relock the bootloader simple use the relock-funktion of flashtool or use backup-ta and revert ur backup of ta-partition.
Then flash a stock-rom on it and ur ready to go.
