since you are asking about free emu and the answers you will get are bound to be subjective depending on what each individual likes, how about you use the search button on playstore, try a few of them and let us know what you think? it is as useless a topic as asking what is the best rom for our phone...
I have tried some but they stuck on my phone..so,i opened this thread to see what other people are using...don't care about graphic's quality,i just want to play..

the best free nds emulator is ( nds4droid )..
it's uncompleted yet! so there's will be soo many updates!
but it's the best nds emulator for android ( THE BEST!! )
I play Pokemon SoulSilver on my Optimus 3d with XBSA ICS V28b rom (stock kernel-clocked), and I get 35~40 FPS (no sound, sometimes: force close)
but if you overclocked your phone you'll not get force close
* when you have a white screen at the beginning, just wait, some games just take long to load. Same if you have a black screen after the menus, or if you think you're stuck to the nintendo logo=> most of the time just wait a little more
And you can read the user review's on Play Store to know if this app is bad or good

Just in case anyone was curious, I used Chainfire 3D and the Nvidia drivers to get the tegrazone working with CM7 on the sensation! Tegrazone opens, pinball HD opens and runs smoothly, Riptide GP opened and ran but the characters weren't colored properly. It was a little choppy at times but still played.

Anyone that has this game galaxy on fire 2 do you experience any lag? It is almost hard to play the game. I am on a Overclocked kernel running at 1.56ghz, I thought that would be plenty of cpu power but I am not sure anymore. EDIT: never mind I fixed it...

Nope haven't tried sprinkle yet, I need to copy it from my Xoom and try it...maybe soon I'll get around to it, I've been really busy

Can someone help me get chainfire to work.
I am on ARHD 6.6.7 running seb kernel. I bought Chainfire 3D Pro and followed instructions on how to install. I did the "Fix Market" but still when i search for games like "Dark Meadows" and "GT Racing Motor Academy" from my device, these games dont show, if i try downloading them from the comp, on google play it says "your device is not compatible"
NOTE: These apps do not exist on the android market any longer because they in some way violated the market's ToS.
I thought this would be a very informative thread for everyone to add to, though I can only think of a few off the top of my head. Please, Add great apps that have been pulled from the market to the list.
I have updated the list to refelct all those mentioned as of 01-04-2012:
Grooveshark - stream songs and playlists via your grooveshark account
WifiKill - view and kick off users on a wireless network
ShootMe - screen capture app
Super Mario live wallpaper - watch mario go through three levels in the background
Icestream - Stream or download movies, tv shows, music, and more for free
Ghosttown - use youtube to search for and stream songs
Gtunes - Search and download single songs
Gameboid - Gameboy emulator
Bitsblock - A tetris variant
Snesoid and nesoid emulators
Openhome launcher - a launcher (unsure of why it was pulled...?)
These types of threads have been done before, but usually are more along the lines of "best apps to have for root users", etc... I am interested in knowing of more and will add others as I think of them. Please contribute!

REFLEXIONS, an awesome game, was pulled from my tablet's market. Though it seems to be on my EVO's market. I don't know why, but i don't play it on my evo. I need it on my tablet! ;-;

I also hate when an app isn't available for your particular device, even though you know damn well your device can run the app (having tested other ways). The whole Market thing is kinda frustrating. And now I have to have the Google Market AND the Amazon Market for my apps, and neither will just filter the FOSS apps, which is what I mostly want anyway.
I think bitblocks was the best version of tetris yet on android. It was removed. Also Snesoid, and Nesoid, though I understand the author was violating the GPL, so what can you do....

So. Iv had issues with Modern Combat 3, and now it says verifying files and it stays on about...1/5 the way. People say to use ChainFire3D and others say its bad to use it...when in reality I don't even no what the fudge chainfire3d is. Lol if you could help thx.

Chainfire 3d is an app you can get from the play store which acts as a graphics driver. (I think)

Hi,I have a problem with many 3D games on my samsung GT-B5510.the problem is when I play a 3D game (some works fine) I cant see anything and there are many squares in the screen as shown in the picture attached below.
Some of these games are : Punch Heroes,Great Little War and raging thunder 2.
Could it be a Hardware or Software related problem?because the official old rom that came with phone was 2.3.5 and I cant play on it any 3D game,but after I flashed 2.3.6 many games started to work properly. Please help me.

But in all player same thing happen..........

The tablet has to have a 3D screen, you can't just play them and it will work, the tablet has to support 3D Playback. what tablet do you have. I don't know any tablets with a 3D screen.

So... Your tab has a 3d screen? Never heard of that as well. If thatsreally the case, try to play your files with the "built in" video Player or read the info for your tab, it should be stated which format it can play.
Edit: troll? I did a quick search and there are no 3d mid tabs. They all even run Android 2.2 Froyo or 2.1 Eclair. Mate your screen is not 3d. If somebody told you its 3d, he trolled you or you misunderstood him saying that the tab can run 3d games...

They are talking about anaglyph 3d. Using red/blue glasses. You can find media players to play for a computer that play mp4 3d. I've looked and there isn't anything on the market to play these mp4 files on an android tablet. They just play side by side. I'm using a nexus 7.
