Note: AOSP for Galaxy S Plus is provided with no warranty. You are installing this software at your own risk. You may be violating your warranty.
Download AOSP and gapps-jb zips and put in /sdcard

Initial Release
Before you install AOSP: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)
Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.
Install
Use TWRP 2.2.1 or CWM5 or CWM 6.0.3.0 by me if you dont have a bugged emmc ( Check end of post to know you have or not ) you can find it HERE
Warning: Only use this recovery to flash AOSP. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone!
Wipe data and cache.
Flash update*.zip.
Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to AOSP since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
Reboot phone.
After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of AOSP are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe data . Just Wipe cache & Dalvik Cache

Yea I guess. Some parts are taken from cm I think. Correct me if I am wrong.

I used similar way but I used some stuff from BroodRom and I removed some other parts of rom .... also lots of bugs are fixed , Vsync is working , Kernel 3.0 (BroodKernel) , Usb OTG , wifi , and most of apps are odexed and there is aosp parts too !! and lots of things I forgot ! there is 185 mg free ram atm but you can reech 220 with a bigmem kernel !

GOOD JOB ! I`m testing it right now
soo i can see that this ROM has 3.0.65 kernel from brood ...( why ? ) can i flash these new kernels from Phenom Christopher or CastagnaIT ?
EDIT: Oh and btw.. Rooting is not working ? i even flash Root-i9001.zip no luck what should i do ?

Yes ! Unfortunatly I m not very advanced in Kernel Developement , and I have'nt my pc atm to compile it ! I compiled AOSP 3 weeks ago before losing my pc and it was on my SGS+ , I waited for a good internet connection to upload ; and now I have uploaded it ! it took 1 hour to upload

Thats becuase my rom uses old wifi drivers but castagnaIT kernel supportes new ones ! ask him to fix this in his kernel ; Or I will have to update wifi driver which has some problems.yet

Rom is unrooted !
Im making a package for rooting but untill i make it you can copy /system/app/SuperSU and /system/xbin/su and set permissions , it will rooted !
aosp from brood was unrooted too !
here is my superuser fix but it can be used to root the device

-Go to paranoidandroid settings - configuration - choose tablet optimised
-Change the dpi for systemui and framework-res to 160 (for ICS only)
-Go to system - navigation bar - select softkeys
-Toggle "expand desktop" by pressing the power button for switching to full screen while playing games or using any other full screen app.
The beauty of this ROM is in customizing it, the better u play with paranoidandroid settings, the better u will make the look of the ROM. Advanced users shud share the customization here in this thread, I will add those in the OP.

Bhai , getting bootloops again and again . was on wr 1.6 , green lense defy , wiped everything , flashed 2nd build , flashed kernel ,flashed ui fixes and then wiped cache and data . still getting bootloops. dimaag khaarab ho gya hai bro !!

i think it cant be quarx 8th march nightly , as it is a 4.0.4 ROM
Update PARANOIDANDROID Version to 1.5a
If you will update the PARANOIDANDROID version the USB Bug will disappear

Its based on the latest nightly of Epsylon3 (27062012) with froyo kernel.
procedure if u r on froyo cm9 by epsy:
wipe data/factory and cache
flash the ROM
flash the ics gapps
wipe again.
reboot
go to paranoidandroid settings - configuration - choose tablet optimised and reboot.
enjoy the ROM and play with it
Please note that this is a port from Galaxy S2 and there are some parts which still needs to be modified. There is no file explorer in the rom so please download one from market. I ported in a hurry. As of now there is still cm9 bootanimation. I shall release an update.zip very soon containing fixes.

This is the same Kernel which I was porting ION and dsscomp on , and it has lots of crap samsung code cleaned up. Besides, the other patches won't affect the 'debugging' process.

hillbeast is working on Kernel 3.0 , if he manages to do that HW Composer should be easy. For now , Since 3.0 is not there , I will try some other methods (like back porting stuff) to possibly try and make HW Composer to work (In contact with dhiru) .

for camera u can take the help of lagloose and Wayland they have made the camera work in stock with preview without breaking the deep sleep for HQ video playback u can try those libs but since they are for ics i am not sure they will work on cm10 or not but just give a try!

for camera u can take the help of lagloose and Wayland they have made the camera work in stock with preview without breaking the deep sleep for HQ video playback u can try those libs but since they are for ics i am not sure they will work on cm10 or not but just give a try!

Yeah, thanks i''l surely try them. But, they are quite laggy while taking pics from cam illusion pro.. I'll try some other stuff first too.

Yeah, quite strange one,i have been using it whole day yesterday and sound worked quite nice.
But since today morning suddenly there was no sound
But the patch at RHB site works well, so i'll provide link for that
try implementing all the available patches for jelly bean for FIT and compile them into one and upload it! Like the camera libs and the sound patch!

Yeah sure, right now i'm trying with different base roms and including libs from different ones lets see if it works.
cool!! when all the patches works with this rom as your base, release it! It would have very less bugs which almost every phone has. :\
about camera try copy gallery2.apk from base and push it into /system/app
changelog on szl.kiez thread say it Use Gallery Camera..

Here's my review :
1. Blueetooth work fine, and the bluetooth headset also..
2. Audio works fine , didnt need to flash the audio patch in my case
3. phone n messaging works fine also
4. Im just trying the Cronmod a2sd+ and it work fine too,, lol
5. havent tried the gps n wifi since i've just flashed this ROM few hours ago.
6. camera resolution is 3 MP with previe and works fine (havent flash the cam patch)
7. other will be informed soon..

What Is AOKPAOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKPWe were waiting for when you’d ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they’re “baked in” by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.

update usb mass storage also derped in aries...
do not flash it ....
I tested that aries kernel on minicm9 and didnt even face a single wifi toggle stuck
Dunno about usb mass storage as i only use card reader!

I have tested OC kernel..And it works GREAT! OC is up to 800mhz (odd, I know) but the performance of ICS itself is awesome..With OC kernel the storage was also increased (in case any one is wondering if it is old OC)
