So, the most recent (minor) update to the Note 10.1 didn't have anything too interesting, but I'm frustrated by one bug. Every time I try to save a note with an audio recording that's longer than 10 minutes or so, the note force closes, losing all unsaved data.
I'm on Android 4.1.2, the very latest U.S. firmware. (Don't have my tablet with me to see the exact firmware)
Can someone else test this?
Any solutions?

Anybody else having difficulty bluetooth connecting their phone to their Note 10? Also my contacts don't sync. I am signed in and have syncing activated on both Samsung devices and cannot sync data. My contact list is way off from my phone to in Note 10. I know it is JB cause I have a Tab 2 7.0 I just rolled back to ICS and have no problem. Before, when it was on JB it had major device to device (Tab 2 7.0 & Note 10) connectity issues. I can connect by Allshare & Wifi Direct is gone in Note 10 JB but was there in ICS.
Won't be downgrading it from the new and improved Premium Suite. Plus they didn't move the notification menu to covering ALL page menus or the soft keys especially the screenshot one which I use a lot. JB on the Note 10 is not bad except for the connectivity issues. The Youtube app is annoying with the constant buffering. Finally uninstalled the upgrade and that fixed the problem.
Is anyone experiencing this and what did you use to fix it. Pretty sad when I can pick up my neighbor's Blackberry and Mac bluetooth and not my own devices.
I'm having the same problem with the youtube buffering. I have to always turn off HD to make it stop, even though every other device in my house can play in HD with no problem.
Latest update not playing video whilst on call. Before the update it plagued fine. I am using samsung galaxy note 3. With 4.4.2 version rom.
Just to be clear, you want to play a video, as you are making a phone call with the phone/dialer app?

help!!! latest update not playing video whilst on call ???
Thanks but i've tried that. I've been using MX Player for long time. I think it's the update not to do with the settings.
CDB since the update i was able to play videos at the same time as being on a call but with the latest update i'm not able to do that. I have uninstalled the latest version now and gone back to a previous version and now i can watch videos and be talking on phone at the same time. All i can say money wasted on purchasing the app till a new update comes along will see if the feature is available
Well, it's not a question that I can answer, it would have to be bleu to answer that. Unless system audio priority changed in the update... that's my only guess.
I have a Doogee X5 Pro (Android 5.1, kernel [email protected]). When I try to encrypt the phone (Settings -> Security -> Encrypt phone), it has me verify my screen lock PIN and it checks that I have a fully charged battery, it briefly puts up the Android logo then restarts ... and sits at the DOOGEE logo until I long-press (10+ seconds) the power button to restart the phone. It never encrypts.
Can someone recommend, either specific to this phone, or likely more generally to clone phones running (I presume) AOSP based Android 5.1, how to get the phone to encrypt?
(The phone is not rooted and I prefer to not have to root this, as it is for a non-technical user, not for myself).
thanks,
I have similar issue. have you been able to fix it?
No, no luck so far. Still hoping someone else has an answer.
Hm, now that I think of it, the phone just received an OTA update. When I have time, I'll try again, and see if that update fixed this problem.
I'm going to try other ROMs today.

That's great, thanks - please let us know which ROM you choose and how it goes.
I'm really hesitant anymore to buy anything which won't run CyanogenMod. I'd like to know how you choose an alternate ROM for the X5 Pro?
same issue here
Same issue here. Older version before OTA update even dis not contain the Encrypt phone item. That appeared now but does not work. Seems as a problem for all x5pro phones
I have what I beleive is essentially the same phone but with a larger screen (X6 Pro)?
Do any of you folks send Skype video messages - my phone runs Skype video conversations fine (camera is crap to be fair) but each time I record a video playback is usually stuttered and like a slideshow or frozen and in other instances the recorded video just "disappears" after recording with no video to send...
I also notice that when watching YouTube videos, if you scroll down through the comments the video playback becomes garbled....
I was not expecting issues like this with a quad core, 2GB RAM adnroid device.
The phone is generally very nicely built other than the aforementioned issues...
The updates are arriving as G930VVRU4BQF2 (S7) and G935VVRU4BQF2 (S7 Edge) and should contain a recent Android security patch. The list of improvements include bug fixes for a link sharing notification issue, MMS video playback issue, Gear 360 connectivity issue, Google Maps error for Knox users, and a random reset issue for VPN users, along with HD voice performance improvements.

Hello gurnsey101 , Thank You
No problem
After update phone now takes 2-3 full seconds before screen wakes. 100% consistent. No other changes to the phone. Anyone else having this issue?

I received the update yesterday afternoon, and my phone 'freaked out' for a full hour or so after receiving it. The Home button was seemingly locked, the device wouldn't go to sleep, and nothing would run properly. After a few reboots and letting it sit for a while, everything seem to be back to normal. As a matter of fact, it seems a bit snappier now to be honest.
How would one go about tweaking the QC9 Hotspot fix to use for QF2, or does it even need it?
After the G930VVRU4BQF2 (S7) update, I can no longer get apps to write to the SD card. I do have Package Disabler Pro in use. Is there something I may have turned off by accident?
deleted. need to check more things for now. Sorry
Android 10 issues
Ever since i updated my A7 to Android 10 i'm having issues with it. First thing noticed is that internet speed decreased. Second is that i'm unable to connect to wifi with hidden SSID. Furthermore apps - and the phone itself - seem to be working significantly slower comparing to previous Android version. There is NO illegal software on the phone and it is regularly updated to the latest app releases and everything worked just fine & fast until the Android 10 update was done.
As i'm reading, same thing happened to users of other manufacturers phones after Android 10 update (for example Huawei).
Anyone else is experiencing samelike issues?
yes, everything you describe. Same here.
Im back to 9...
Does anyone having problem cannot change camera resolution?
