Hi,
I have the Lenovo a336t bought from china. It has android 2.3.6 with a MTK6513 CPU. I have rooted the phone. But I have little knowledge on custom roms. This is the first time I'm using an android phone. And I have a few questions.
Can anyone suggest me some good roms that will go with with my phone?
Can I upgrade the android version without a loss in performance?
What will happen if I (can) install roms that were made for other phones like samsung, ZTE, HTC... etc. or a rom that was made for a different model of lenovo phone.
I cannot use activesync and therefore the android market doesn't work, and a lot of apps doesn't install as well. Specially browsers like Google chrome or Firefox. And so I thought flashing my phone should be a good idea?
Can anyone give me a solution? I searched the whole internet!

First of all Install adb drivers for ur phone. If adb devices displays ur phone serial no, surely one of method from oneclick root, superoneclick, z4root, motochopper, b4nary root ur phone. Almost all mtk devices rooted with above methods.
I sold my phone. Buying a 5.3" phone soon.

Hi, glad that someone is using the same phone as me. I am new to the android world.
I don really know what you mean by backup my i9377. Maybe you can guide me around.

Yup my wifi 3g gps is working correctly. Ram is 512. Not laggy so far running 4.1.1 jellybean.
Camera is not as good compare to my iPhone 5.
And the battery last 2-3 days in standby ?

BTW I have risk my phone and root it but I have succeeded. I will show the steps later in 1st post later

From where did you order it from? Could you make pics of back panel, does it have samsung written on the back panel?

Mayne because it's generic. And dont have a compass built in. Gps isn't so good

Thanks, but here's another question...
Normally when you want to do go to CWM you have to hold the volume + and the power button,
if i do that my phone just turns off, don't know how to install the CWM, tried allot of different
threads but nothing seems to work for me.

Although GPS is really **** at this phone
You will not find right rom. I had found one in chinese forum, but screen didn't work right. I sent it back to shop for refund
I found a semi-custom rom in the italian forum but gps isn't working any better.

I have got a S4 Clone, which does show any CPU infos. So I thought that I can install the CPU-Z.APK but I get the error message that format does not support. So I hope that OS of such mobile is not Android.
How can I get the CPU info on this strange mobile phone in order to check if I can use any custom ROM?
The main problem on this phone ich WLAN does not work.
The is a label inside with following numbers.
I9500gsmh a2lgti9500

I haven't better Idea when I was posting. So sorry for that.
Thread closed as its not an S4 so using any of the stuff meant for the actual phone will likely result in the clone being bricked.

Im new in XDA bt i still knw the system basics on cracking.
bt nw im facing a problem with a clone phone of my sister's. I got the ADB drivers installed in my pc bt i cannot unlock bootloader since booting to fastboot is not working! i tried all the shortcut methods like the volume keys and home keys bt all failed. all i can do is i can boot in to the android system recovery in the phone using cmd (adb reboot recovery) .
i evn used many other softwares like the MTK Droid Tools and Evn many developments tool kits too.
pls do help me t at least root it. i m in need of installing CM 9 or 11 since its OS system is fully weak in function.

Unfortunately there's really not anything we can do to help with these clone phones, there's just no way to know exactly how they operate, or even if it has an active fastboot mode at all. Plus, because it's a clone you won't be able to find a compatible build of any ROM for it, it might look like a Galaxy but the internals are very different I can assure you, and that's what matters most when flashing a ROM to a device. Sorry we can't help you out on this occasion.

hi guys this is my 1st thread in xda forum as this forum helped me alot in the past, well!! here it is, i have an lg g3 i bought it from someone on the street so i can repair it, but thins are not going well actualy, the previous owner clamed that the phone has only softwar issue thats why i didnt hesitate to buy it.
this phone is an lg g3 internationnal version D855 16gb rom / 2 gb ram the problem is that the phone restart whle using it, i cant find any pattern when it restarts but i tryed the following:
- hard resset
- downgrading to kitkat stock firmware/upgrading to marchmallow or lollipop.
- rooting and instaling cyanogenmod.
-changing the battery (swaped batteryes with my cousin he has the korrean version F400S) while he was using my battery his phone never restarts with 24hours of use but mine did .
so till this moment think the only thing i will do is to throw it in the toilette and flushe twice and say good by to my 90$ lol
ps: the restart procces is : frezez then a black screen after that it boot normaly with no boot sound.

In this case there is nothing much to do but to ask for assistance from a LG service center , it is most probably a hardware problem since you have fully restored its factory operating system

hi! thiank you for your reply, as you said it is probably a hardzare issue so i will do as you said and ask assistance from lg but i dont have guarantee on the phone, do you think they will hepl me solve this ??
They should, if there is no warranty then you may need to pay a fee, go and ask them, won't hurt Cheers
