Any Android TV box with HDMI input? Please help! - Android Stick & Console Computers General

Guys,
Any boxes in the market with HDMI input as well as output and running android ICS? I know of one i.e Geniatech ATV1600, but they are right now not accepting orders. Any variant (rebranded) of ATV1600 will do as well?
We want Set Top box input to go into the box and then box output to go to tv!
Please help, we would appreciate any kind of pointers!

I think there is something called the jynxbox. It runs android 4.0.4 and has hdmi I believe

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I'm having a hard time finding those to buy. Do you have any suggestion ?
Still, since this was asked a while ago, is there any other alternatives ?

Now they have ATV1610

[Q] TV out

Has anyone been able to get the 3.5 mm to RCA adapter to work with the infuse because I have 2 and not all of my TVs are HDMI capable and the TV out settings menu is gone so is it possible
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
I'm pretty sure it is gone, due to MHL support (HDMI over USB) but if anybody could make it happen, I would love to see it. I don't own a single TV with HDMI, but have 1 component hdtv & composite/s-video sdtv. I would love to be able to use my infuse with them. I used the HDMI for the first time over at my girlfriends grandparents, and it was amazing. Would this be something possible to port over from the captivate once GB arrives, or would it require a too extreme of a sorcery to port over?

We may not have the hardware for it at all. If I ever get the time I'll look to see if there's hint of it in the kernel sources, but just to warn you, this particular item is very low priority for me. I haven't owned an analog-only TV in years.
it would also need a program to tell it it is connected to a tv. the phone whouldnt be able to tell if a tv or a microphone was connected.
is there any update on this yet?
anyone tried something already?
Thanks!

adding android to a TV, is MK802 the only cheap solution?

the MK802 aka "android on a stick" is a cheap solution (forget 75$ more like 80~90 now days)
is it a good solution for me? or are there other options?
tv
add to a tv or computer tv ?
normal TV... 37" LG lcd
Google TV from SONY is an option. It includes a Blueray player and is connected to your existing TV set. This price is a little high at $300. But if you do not already have a Blueray player, it may be a good choice.
How did we went from 75$ to 300$
I want a cheap solution, sub 100$

It isn't really as but it does come with a remote whereas usually mk802 doesn't unless you pay more.

For TV functions extension? It has remote control.
Fully ready to work from box
MK802 is good choice for the cheap android tv.
but i suggest to buy the remote control, like the air mouse.
also if you need better price, i find this one
http://www.mcbub.com/item/Hot-Selli...8G----WPS-HDMI--WIFI--SKYPE-----White-149323/
compare with the MK802, there is no micro sd slot in this, it's a little sucks.
PS: now most of the china seller don't have the MK802 in stock, better to confirm before you buy,GOOD LUCK!

If you looking for cheapest solution:
CX-01 Mini Android PC Android TV Box Android 4.0 Cortex A5 HDMI USB 4GB
CX-01 Mini Android TV Box + Rii R900 Professional Air Mouse Presenter
But I think it's not better than Mini X and isn't cheapest in version with air mouse
You can wait for the Nexus Q, Sounds like a good choice.
The Q won't be cheap
Anyway... I'm going mk802 1gb,just find where to order it from

MHL or Slimport?

Has there been official confirmation if either of these will be available? The official forums didn't yield much. I can see where Miracast is in, but I use MHL all the time with my AppRadio, so this is important t me
No MHL or Slimport on this phone, sadly something had to be sacrificed for such a good price, i hope Roku will implement miracast soon to be able to view my phone on the TV with out buying any extra dongle.
According to Phone Arena, there /is/ apparently MHL. See here http://www.phonearena.com/phones/OnePlus-One_id8603
Edit: there isn't
On the official forum someone mentioned that the spec sheets for the Oppo Find 7 show mhl but it actually doesn't have it and apparently the One plus one shares some parts with the Find 7 so its possible it doesn't have it
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
It is not possible to enable this? Or it is missing hardware?

I created a ticket asking this exact question. The answer from the OnePlus support:
Ivan*(OnePlus)
Hi xxxxxx,
Unfortunately, the phone doesn't support MHL, but you can try with Chromecast to mirror the screen to TV. Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Ivan
I am asking myself, is that missing hardware or just missing software? If it's software it should be possible to add it, no?

No , there is no MHL on the OPO. I bought myself a MHL monitor and it's gone to waste. Time to look for a chromecast dongle.

[Q] Android Tv Stick Sky Go (UK) Compatibility?

Hello,
apologies for posting right after joining.
I've been reading the forum's and was wondering on some input.
I'm interested in a few android TV sticks, and i am wondering if any one has one that successfully works with sky go out of the box?
if so could they recommend the model?, so i would buy this on peoples findings.
a couple of models i have seen are the cx919 and the mk808, but from reading here it looks like they are not compatible with sky go.
any input would be greatly appreciated.
kind regards
Apologies im not sure were this direct question would go in which sub forum?

Most android sticks come 'ROOTED' out of the box which apps such as Sky go don't like. So unless you can 'unRoot' your device in a way (apparently there are multiple ways to unroot) that would be compatible w/ Sky go you have very limited options.
Cheers, OP

any recommendations will depend on how much you want to spend and the form factor u need...I have a MK802III (dual-core, 1 GB Ram, Mali400 GPU)...pretty good for normal usage....
If you can spend upto $120 you can get a quad core, 2 GB stick such as MK802IV which should be almost twice as fast the one I have...
Also the android TV devices comes in two form factors - a TV stick with HDMI male port which goes straight into your TV and the other is a box form where you have a small box with cables flying out to your TV.
I personally prefer the TV sticks which are more compact and save on already cluttered TV backsides..
Cheers,
