Hi,
I've modified this blank update zip for your fonts.
Use Winrar to open it,but do not extract it.
Navigate to system/fonts and press the "ADD" button.
Add your fonts and close the zip.
Make a nandroid backup.
Place the zip on your sd card,
wipe your cache and dalvik,
flash the zip like a ROM,
reboot.

[Q] help on instal stock arabic rom

hi
I downloaded arabic stock rom from htcdev.com but it isn't a zip file :crying:
how can I install it?
my bootloader is unlock and I'm using jaggyrom 3.2
the stock rom has this name:
pico-2.6.38-gb-crc-6dd95d7.tar.gz
Double click the file to open it. If it contains boot.img, system folder & meta-inf folder... then this can be flashed, but not in that tar.gz format.
You need to extract it and make another zip archive. Put all those items into the zip archive and set the compression method as store.
Now, flash this zip file.
Pre - requisites for flashing any rom :
1. Wipe data/factory reset from recovery mode.
2. Wipe cache from recovery.
3. Wipe dalvik-cache from advanced option in recovery.
Click to collapse
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using XDA Premium HD app
thanks
but it doesn't have those folders
I attached the photo of opened archive
I'll be appreciated if you take a look
This can be flashed using RUU (rom update utility) for your phone.
I am seraching for methods...
-----------------------
It is very complicated to flash tar.gz rom file.
For that reason, i found this flashable zip file... --> htc arabic stock 1.28.415.1
-----------------------
If you wish to take the trouble of flashing the tar.gz, then follow this thread (i can't guarantee you anything regarding this)

So all you did is add a few apps to a flashable zip and what apps exactly did you add or is this a request thread?Appreciate the contribution though.

uuuhhh I kinda don't get the point of this, I mean whats wrong with the default way of restoring a cwm or TWRM backup??
Meh, using UNIX tools, but not providing a solution, shame on you
(Warning: not actually tested, since I'm not really interested, just a 1:1 translation from .bat to sh)
Code:
#!/bin/sh
for i in system data
do
mkdir "{$i}"
mv "{$i}.yaffs2.img" "{$i}/"
cd "{$i}"
unyaffs "{$i}.yaffs2.img"
cd ../
done
rm .android_secure.vfat.tar nandroid.md5 recovery.img
zip -0 -r update.zip *

You can create flashable zip that will include ROM and app, then give that to you friend.
You can use it when you formating sdcard, after that you flash it back and you have all.
It's nice and more elegant way, for me, but if someone don't like it - it's simple - don't use it.
