OK so I know the basics on how to do it but say I wanted to port a 4.2.2 ROM to this device do you think I would run into any issues? There's a couple ROMs on the nexus thread I would love having.

If you flash a ROM on other device it will not boot, i think. Because different devices had different /system file
Edit: Its posibble to port ROMs to this TF101. But you need to modify the ROM files.

Why don't you get RaymanFx's JB 4.2 WIP Custom ROM and flash it through TWRP? It looks like Nexus 10" and works like a charm!

You should use josteink's No-Name CM10.1 nightlies or EOS4 with the KatKernel by timduru. RaymanFX are not developing this TF101 anymore.

Who's making frozen? Is there a thread for it yet?

Do any of you guys have some info on this Frozen ROM?
Frozen is in closed beta, hasn't been released yet.
It will be soon, i believe.
What about roms that r avaliable right now?
Krakd is the best honeycomb rom, team eos is the best ics rom iv used, until frozn gets released, of course thats only what i think

I like team EOS for now. But I loved krakd HC and am looking forward to frozn.

Jcarrz is making it once it is released it will be under krakd thread i believe
And personally ive tried all the icys roms available at the moment all the cm9 or open source ones where missing parts i liked or had some bugs and revolver was the closest i could find to something i liked but stil no go atleast for now
I think because icys is so new and there is so much development to be done you cant choose a straight out rom or kernel to be best at the moment they all have good and bad points to them
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
I'm still on HC for now because I can't find any ICS rom that looks stable enough. This "Frozen" rom seems interesting though.
I think ricardopvz's CyanogenMod9 ROM is the best ICS ROM i've tried.
All keyboard buttons work and also no blackscreen when rotating

I'm using Codename Android right now and loving it. Everything works just like stock except now I get all the little extra settings.
Its actual smoother and more responsive than stock ICS to me

@eminembdg, Codename Android seems good. I guess it doesn't feature Asus' stuff like MyBooks, right? Can I just restore them using Titanium Backup?
Just got and rooted my tf. Just wanted to see which ROM is the best and most stable. Any recommendation?

For stability the modified stock roms are the best IMO (e.g Revolver, Revolution) but lack the features of AOSP roms like (CM9, Gummy or Frozn). As for JB roms they arn't what i would call stable (but useable) but they are very smooth and fast.

Any rom can be overclocked, the Kernel is what manages the overlocking. For Revoultion you want one of these:
Rayman33s Asus kernel : http://goo.im/devs/rayman33/downloads/Transformer/Harmony-Kernel/Harmony-ASUS.zip
or
Guevor's Asus kernel : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1122982&d=1339437783
Remember with overclocking you will loose some battery life... personally i prefer not to overclock... again its personal preferences...

Wipe /cache and /dalvik then flash kernel. I wipe those two again afterwards but you don't really have to.
I recently recieved the tf700T. It's pretty nice but there is just so much garbage installed on it I find it unsafe to use (Unsafe because I have no idea what these apps are doing and have no idea what Asus has installed in the background). Given the kernel is availible on the asus website and the device is unlocked would this be possible? I am looking for vanilla android with nothing but the base system installed. That also means no google software.
Wrong section should be in q&a
No Google software means no Gapps

It's fine, gapps is a botnet anyway. They're data mining info directly from your brain with mind beams. Luckily, tinfoil stops any sort of that nonsense.
Joking aside, I think a vanilla (cm9/10) android ROM will be possible. Just wait a few more weeks...

Yep, for a good news, it's a good news!... A CM9 will be great, but a CM10 awesome!... i hope/suppose that the JB case will be prioritary.

Hello people,
I've been searching for a good ROM for my note 10.1 3G edition that enables all the options of S-Pen including ignoring palm touches. I've tried a lot of ROMs like CM and HD revolution. CM lacks S-Pen support and HD revolution was 4.1.2.
Can you suggest some ROMs that are based on 4.2.2 or above, and in the main time can handle the S-Pen properly?
Or at least if there are some apps on market that can add the S-Pen support to CM?
Thanks in advance!
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but can't you just flash a 4.2 kernel over ARHD?

You can replace a kernel by another one without altering the rest of the system, but I'm not sure whether all kernels can be flashed on top of any firmware.

Just wondered if this would happen soon. If its built for 512 ram devices the tf300t should fly on KitKat and sort out my sluggish tablet. Any news on who is doing it and when? Really hope so to resurrect my dead tablet.

Yes, I second this question... i'm on 4.2.1 right now and I am skipping 4.3.1 and waiting for the new 4.4 kitkat if it does come out. It probably will, eventually.
So I now know Omnirom are working on KitKat for the tf300t Thanx to Scanno. But are there other developers in the running or is omnirom our only hope. Not a bad thing as its a great rom.

There will be others (since devs are awesome) but it will take time.
