I will take any rom released on xda for the dream and customize it to ur liking.
If you don't want the msg/mail widgets or a song played during the boot of ur hero rom I will do that as well.
I won't theme a rom for you nor will i create a rom from scratch, i will only modify it to ur liking.

Message me the apps you dont want or apps you want added to the rom.

Well, I guess that's a nice thing to do. Thanks for sharing. Although, I would be interested in a nice tutorial on how to take a ROM off XDA and modify it by removing/adding components... Lemme know if you can help.

yea, actually being able to compile a full rom pack for fresh regular wipes complete with apps and whatnot would be killer. I'm sure there's a guide to compiling your own package somewhere though. This totally is the dev department =P Check the huge list of q&a
I'm just want people who get frustrated easily to be able to have the same benefits as the rest of us. You just tell me the rom you want, we'll chat for a little and i'll tell you what apps i can take out and you can ask me to add some apps into the rom..if you want a theme i can help you pick the best one for you and other things along those lines. I already have a few requests and I'm going to sleep now but I will try and get you guys ur roms as soon as I possibly can.
I could use (a lot of people who do embedded systems stuff could use, actually) a cupcake rom with the serial port enabled, TTYMSM2. This would allow hooking up th Dream to a number of devices (Including a sonar if you want to do the Dark Knight scanner thing ).
Ideally it should have variable baud rate but if thats not an option, a lot of stuff (DGPS, sonars...) still runs at 9600 baud.
So would it be possible to get Ion with the htc dialer and htc mail app(exchange)?
I have a few requests that i will be getting to tonight. I will try my best to get them done in speedy orderly fashion.

This is an update from drizzy that i modified a bit for a friend..
-for weather or flip clock use the android widget
-no mail/sms widgets
-updated onscreen keyboard just have to enable it.settings->Locale & Text-> Disable Touch Input
-Some extra games you can delete them from Settings->Applications->manage applications
-other fixes that seem to make it quicker.
-don't overclock, enjoy.

idc what rom it's running on (i'm on cyan 3.9.1 i believe), i just want the camera from wherever you can get it from that has the "store location in photo/pictures" option.

i looked for an app that offered it but seen nothing. =/
pictures store on ur sd card in DCIM/100 Media and wont go anywhere as long as you don't format ur fat32 partition..im not sure where else you would want them to be stored though.

I think he means one that embeds the current GPS data into the image.
So, when he takes a picture it will embed the data of *where* the picture was taken.
Ide like to see some of the hero widgets, like photo album, and the large calendar, and the twitter widget, work on the JACxHERO v1.3 rom

Is there a way to get the background of the contacts, fav, ect.. To black with white fonts. I'm running JacXHero 1.1 with themed palm-hero V3r2.

Yeah thats possible, i'll work on that when i get back from vacation..I'll take care of you. To get touchpal to work u just have to have touchpal the only one checked. Then ur set, no errors.
is it possible to customize a fast lag free rom and have it look like the hero.....i like the way the text messages and icons look also like the dialer and the menu.....but hero is so slow sometimes.....thx...
let me get Drizzy's NewVision_2.8 with bluetooth and paid apps working, or Drizzy's NewVision v3r2 with bluetooth and the keyboard working.
i would like a rom that when installed would add 96mb of RAM, would give me the ability to fly as well as to teleport. also i would like it to include a notification ringtone sampling the episode of the boondocks where ed and rummy try to kidnap oprah and ed says "*****es love smiley faces."

I don't know why everyone keeps asking for videos because unless there is a huge graphical difference (ie themes or change in the likescreen, statusbar, rosie, etc) then it's going to be the same as any other Hero rom out there.
In regards to speed and stability, that's mostly up to you the user. You configure the user.conf to your liking and use whatever apps you want. The more apps you have installed and more widgets you have on your screen the slower and more unstable your phone is. Also the speed of your sdcard could have a factor in it as well. Other factors could be included as well but the bottom line is that most Hero roms are identical to eachother and pretty much work the same way. Any obvious differences that are easily noticed visually is mostly themed.
I say backup what you have with nandroid/bart/switchrom/whatever and try it. Coming from JacHeroSki2.2, I'm noticing that this hasn't given me a single reboot and seems much more stable. But it's pointless to make a video of it because it looks the same. But... if someone would like to indulge us in a video of an MLIGN rom (which will be obsolete after every update by the way) than go for it! It's just my opinion that it's a waste of time.

The reason why i do videos is to show the improvements from the previous ROM.. Other people can then compare then if one of my ROMs suck and its BC of APK editing then i know to not use them.. I'm just trying to show them what is in store for them when i release it.

I hope not. Ive seen nothing good come of the ram hack on G1's. The phone is only meant to use a set amount of ram, and all it does it become extremely unstable when added. My experience with the ram hack i get nothing but reoots from phone going to sleep and even just sitting the home button.

Right on... I've noticed this as well.
Btw, can anyone post the default wallpaper (green leaves), or tell me what file the wallpapers are located in? I didn't see a Launcher.apk...
Edit: Also @MLIGN, will v2.5.7 have LED support? Not sure if you were planning on integrating the build.prop from Maxisma or not... AFAIK, there're no LEDs on v2.5.5, right?

well i think he was talking abt recording a video abt his new rom that has the 10mb ram hack in his last thread but idk if this one has it. we have to wait till he releases it n the changelog to see.......
hmmm i got a problem.. i dont get missed call notification on 2.5.5
...Never mind it works now.. it wasnt last night.
And to whoever was askin about the LED's they do work just download the missed call app.

On the next and upcoming versions, could you change the gmail icon? It would be easier for those of us who use two email addresses. In my case, I like to glance at the notification bar to see if I have gmail email aka my business email, but now I can't tell because the HTC mail and gmail notification icons are the same. Thanks bud.
P.S Correct me if I'm wrong, but it was you who posted the twitpic with the purple/jester rosie, right?
EDIT: ON 2.55 I noticed, the browser can get very laggy

Wrong 2.5.5 has fully working LED notifications and no more heroLED.
Any1 else get fc with touch input I get it way too often and track ball is kinda weird jumps around way too much.

Reset ur settings in th browser and format swapper if u useing u should feel a big difference.
nontouch running iphone os like but can only give you the wallpapers for now but the themes for it will be coming out like the next day.just getting the bugs out

here are the themes for the non touch family these themes would work with samsung jack,blackjack,blackjack2, and much more. you will need facade,pocket weather or go to site call facade.com to get the themes

nowhere in this thread do you credit waltzb. you even make it sound like you developed them, "getting the bugs out" "only give you the wallpaper for now". There are no bugs and the entire themes have been available for a long while! You probably think getting the shortcuts working is ironing out bugs huh?
Hey if he got the shortcuts working I'm greatful, no one else has made an effort to do so. Not with much success anyway.
theres nothing to getting the shortcuts working. you go into facades settings and customize the launchers. its that simple. and his settings wont work for you unless all programs and links are exactly the same. its a per user customization.

Im really new to HTC new sense , i like the sense but unlocking the RING + Unlocking using a pattern or a pin takes a lot time , so if any dev can implement this concept of transparent ring (cant see) + remove the pull the ring to unlock text then it will be as a better security option
note : making the ring transparent is easy (i can do it too ) ,but removing the text is a bit tricky

if u need to make the lockscreen transparent u just need to make it reduce the transpiracy.to remove the text u need to Alter the suitable XML file after decompling the specific app.

check ur system folder>> framework folder to get frameworks file. this is wher u get the needed files
Check out the NextGen ROM in the android development section in pico forum.. He changed text on the ring.. So he'll know how to remove it..
Also, active devs in this forum would be :
liverpool-fan, cute_prince, oblikas, lirokoa, flowish, sakindia123(did some great work, but doesnt have phone anymore..) and many other modders, themers, etc..
Remove it from fusion.apk n for text edit m10's of lockscreen n enable false for line containing that text .

I ported it quickly this morning, nothing major. God it looks better than the standard Calculator, and finally fits in with MIUI. Will fix the slider text issue another time but for now feel free to test on any ROM/device whatsoever, it should work just fine.
