Wallpaper Shuffle is an app that automatically changes your Home Screen Wallpapers according to your preferences. All you need to do is follow some simple steps once and forget.
1. Select a list of wallpapers or photos from your Gallery or the Entire Gallery (in a single click)
2. Set Interval between rotation.
3. Turn Shuffle ON or OFF
4 Apply
The default timer is set to change wallpapers every minute. You can change it to whatever you feel like between a minute to 2 hours. The Shuffle feature when switched "ON" randomly selects an image from your list and when "OFF" selects the next image in your list
This app is optimized for battery life & performance,so it might take some seconds to actually change the wallpaper

[Live Wallpaper] Mario Live Wallpaper 0.94b [Update: appearance settings]

My second app!
This is a live wallpaper of Mario playing randomly generated levels. Every once in a while, a level ends and a new one begins. There are three themes for levels: outside, underground and castle. They appear in that order.
Have a look at wallpaper's settings! You might find something interesting there. Like the ability to change FPS, or to disable level background (making levels darker).
By default, this live wallpaper is in the playback mode. If you switch it to AI mode, it tends to waste a considerable amount of battery power because of the artificial intelligence, which is rather complex. The fact that the wallpaper is nice enough to be stared at for long periods of time, doesn't help that situation either.
By default, this wallpaper is set up to have a low priority. This is good, but not if your device is running a CPU intensive app. So - if the wallpaper is very slow on your device (something like 2 frames per second), consider looking at battery logs to find application(s) that waste a lot of CPU time.
And, at last, as all my work, this live wallpaper is donation supported too. So if you like it, consider buying be a cup of much needed cofee or a pizza.
See the video of how it looks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g58o9w0bg4
Issues? Read the FAQ in the next post below.
To get the live wallpaper, use this link from the android device, or this QR code:
<no longer available via market because of a legal claim by Nintendo>
Or, download this APK if you don't have the market on your device or for some reason don't see it there.
MarioLive_094b is the latest version.

Frequently asked questions - FAQ
I've downloaded and installed it. How do I set it up as a Live Wallpaper?
Follow this procedure:
go to your home screen
press the menu button on your device
select "Wallpaper"
select "Live Wallpapers" *
search and select for "Mario Live Wallpaper"
select "Settings" to see the settings or select "Set wallpaper" to activate it
(* if you don't see "Live Wallpapers" option in the "Select wallpaper from" menu then your device probably doesn't support Live Wallpapers)
What is the difference between "AI Mode" and "Playback Mode"?
Playback mode uses prerecorded plays, so Mario doesn't think but just "plays back" one of the 1000 or so levels from memory. AI mode makes Mario smart, and he will use artificial intelligence to complete the level. AI mode uses MUCH MORE BATTERY, and also might not work correctly on some older devices due to lack of memory and processing power.
I've turned "AI Mode" on and this wallpaper wastes a lot of battery. What can I do?
That's just how the Mario's artificial intelligence is, very demanding on the phone's resources. Turn the AI Mode off or if you absolutely want it, you can disable course background and decrease FPS to remedy the issue.
Why does this Live wallpaper require internet access?
It's to download and show ads. They appear in the Live wallpaper's settings.
I can't find this on the market. Where is it?
Your phone is probably unsupported. If you're sure that your phone supports live wallpapers, you can try manually installing with the APKs that are at the end of the post above.
I can't download the APK. My phone says "Cannot download. The content is not supported on this phone". What to do?
Don't download it with your phone! The default browser in Android doesn't support downloading APK files. Try this:
download AndroZip from the market. It's a file browser app
download the latest APK from the first page of this thread, do it with your PC
transfer the APK to the phone's SD card
on the phone, go to Settings -> Applications -> check "Unknown sources"
launch AndroZip, search for the APK on the sd card, and select it. You should be offered to install the live wallpaper
later when installed, go to home screen, press the menu key, select Wallpaper -> Live Wallpapers, search for Mario Live Wallpaper and select it
This is so cool! How about you theme it like this game? Or make another like this other game? Or maybe that game?
This is not likely going to happen because of copyright issues. The Mario Live Wallpaper is made from free and open-source material (check About in the settings) while any other game (even themes from Super Mario) are a no-go because the vast majority is proprietary and copyrighted.
This LWP is very cool. Thanks! How can I contribute?
In a number of ways:
by contacting me if you have any issues, not mentioned in this FAQ
by saying thanks
by buying me a cup of coffee or a pizza
OMG
this is awesome!
GREAT!
i really laughed when seeing it!
really really great ^^
do you know how many battery it takes?
whats happening when there is a fullscreen app launched? i assume than the wallpaper is stopped?
edit: maybe a random difficult level could be good, so that he sometimes uses 1 or sometimes 15 every level different difficulty? randomly maybe?
haha thats really cool!
It lags a little though for me when I flip between screens, especially one with a scrolable widget.
Thank you for share with us

Thanks!
On my device it usually shows 10%. Yes, of course, the wallpaper pauses when it's not visible.
Good suggestion! I'll consider it. Right now the difficulty is actually random between what ever you set and up to 3 higher. So if you set 4, the difficulty will be random from 4 to 7.

It's supposed to lag. This means that it gives priority to your home screen and widgets. It you don't like this behaviour, turn off low priority from the settings, but then everything will lag. As I said, Mario's AI is complex.
can't find in market even when scanning QR code.
this is ridiculously awesome.
Awesome! Thank-you. It would be great if you made a version based on Super Mario World 1...

thanks, guess this is like the starfield wallpaper. it shows up for me on froyo but not eclair.
Nice job! *10char*
Very sweet and surprisingly smooth with Launcher Pro.
I downloaded the .apk from the first post and I'm running it on cyan 5.0.8. For some reason Mario is off the right side of the screen, so I can't see him actually jumping over anything or doing anything. Is this wallpaper supposed to be used in landscape mode or is something wrong with my install?
awesome!
found on market on 2.1
The best!!!
simply brilliant !

The view should align with homescreens. If you're in the center homescreen, Mario should be at the center.
He might be shifted to the right in the live wallpaper preview mode, since that is the "zero" position.

[Live Wallpaper] 3D Active Blocks **updated 5/22/11 **.

This is my first android active opengl 3D wallpaper. Its tilt sensitive and when you touch the wallpaper it causes a ripple effect in the blocks. I have some options to remove the random z axis movement and two different block textures.
I’ve only tested it on my nexus one, and I’m looking for feedback(ideas) and how it runs on other active wallpaper enabled devices.
Thank for trying it out.

Why it asks permissions for Storage and Phone calls?
I have installed it on my HTC Desire and it seems to be working fine.
obvious question is... how's the batterly life since it uses the sensors?

I'm looking into why its wanting those permissions, because the only one I use is ACCESS_SURFACE_FLINGER for object selection screen buffer writing.
Also I'm working on custom texture selection, which gives you the abillity to use any picture for the textures.
As for battery life, my wallpaper stops running when its not in view so that should help battery life.
Version 3 updated, many new features and effects, see first post for details.
Added video preview see first post for link.
Looks very nice.
cool idea, but it needs higher quality images to start. maybe some additional settings to tweak the users experience?
Looks cool. going to give it a try.
How to remove this??????
for my dext it's tooooo heavy
can't find any way.. hmmm
edit.
es file xplorer can't find it but standard app remover yes... sorry (however nice app )
So I downloaded the app for my HTC Desire and sent it to me through mail. I installed the app and it said that it was installed. But I can't seem to find the app anywhere in my app list, anyone knows why?
I tried this out, it seems to be pretty cool, but on the Droid X it seems to tile images. Maybe it is set to work with a certain pixel size image and tiles them if they are over that size?
You can remove this when you go to settings --> Aplications --> Manage applications --> All
it should be in that list

It's a live wallpaper, not an app. You set it as a wallpaper. That's why the thread starts with [Live Wallpaper]
Hehe.
Very cool. Woul love to pick an album, rather than just a single picture from my gallery. Perhaps picking a set number of pics would be ok, also.
lwp
I have never had a problem installing apps before, some reason with this i get an error saying that no app can be found to install it. Any ideas?
im a noob to all of this.. what steps need to be taken to get this onto your device? galexy s, vibrant to be exact
Its a cool live wallpaper its just makes my nexus choppy as hell, also I dont like the fact when you restart your phone and have a custom image the screen comes back on all white. Otherwise its pretty damn cool.
Very nice concept mate, works flawlessly on my SGS

[APP][1.5+] WebLiveWallpaper: set whatever you want as wallpaper or widget! (v0.98.4)

WebLiveWallpaper: Set content (galleries/animations/sites/cams from the web or local files/folders) as Live Wallpaper, live widget or as picture frame.
Create your personal show, create your own (animated) wallpaper with JavaScript!
Original first post:
I wrote my first live wallpaper today because I did not find something like it and thought it should not be too difficult to do. So here it is. I always wanted a real live wallpaper displaying something from the web instead of just a picture or offline animation. For me it is really useful because I can keep an eye on my favourite webcam over the day and decide to go there if the conditions stay or improve. A lot of other use cases should be possible ...
There is now also a picture frame app and a live widget included (also running on devices without live wallpaper support).

Noone else thinking this is a great idea?
This enables you to get an automated cycling flickr-Wallpaper, the National Geographic Pic of the Day automatically on your homescreen. Or the latest News-Picture, or your wallpapers from many image galleries. And of course webcams ... and so on. I think this freedom and possibilities is what makes Android so great!
New version with asynchronous loading, much improved website parsing. Still a lot to do (performance, widget, website redirects supported, better organisation of links and settings, ...) and so little time. But I really think this one has to appeal to some more people than just on a few sports-forums I read/post where people enjoy watching webcams!?!
New apk attached to first post!

I'll def give this a try!
this is awesome! thank you..
This seems a brilliant yet simple idea and seems to be well done. I will give this a try but its not realy for me as i dont have a data plan and only really use my wifi at home to connect so the updates on the pic would not be frequent enough.....maybe one day I will treat myself.
Thanks for your hard work
Def. bookmarked for later use. Very good idea.
New version 0.84 with optimizations and better gallery support
Loading is faster now (and you can enable a progress bar if you are curious/need to know).
I also added an option to dig into picture galleries (load the large version of the image which looks much better as a wallpaper on highres phones).
For the next update I am working on cycling the gallery pictures instead of using the most recent "best" one so there will be even more Live for more 'static' webpages.
New apk attached to first post!
Awesome. Thanks!
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Version 0.9
Has a lot of changes (hopefully good ones) with the loading and gallery stuff and a LOT of options to set everything fine.
For example WIFI exclusive updating has been added! Also the quick selections have presets now to explain useful settings for your sites ...
Still a lot to do. Next will be password protected webcam/server access.
0.9.1 fixes some things
no more default WIFI-only enabled (red screen if mobile at first start)
fixes of parameters for some quick selection items
no more crashes with wrong/incomplete URLs entered by hand
0.91 ... watch xdadevelopers (or other website) live on your homescreen background
See last screenshot attached to first post It's a hack (web snapshot) I may regret/have to replace by something else later and not fast. But should be ok for a lot of use cases.
And a lot of more serious updates like a sorted settings menu, access to standard password protected servers/cams, better gallery updating with long refresh times.
Edit: v0.91.1 can now be opened after install/in market for all those people not knowing what a wallpaper is!
Taking a look at this on my sgs!!
Dev, you should have more confidence in patience, it's a great idea ;-). I typically wait until things hit the RSS, so I'm sure you'll see a little spike since it just came up in the past 20 minutes.
Good luck! I do have a question, have you judged the battery life impact? I did see the custom refresh rate option, but still I am curious to see what impact it had on both your idle and active battery life stats if you update as often as a regular widget since it'll probably download more data.
Suggestions: Be able to set up a schedule
Preferably with different settings for different days. For instance, M-F have it set to use pic of the day with an update every 24 hours, then on weekends have it set up to show a web/weathercam every 15 mins.
Also, being able to set it, instead of every X seconds, being able to set it to update maybe 3x on M-F would help out in a few cases. Example, to see a traffic or weather cam just before going to/from work.
Good luck, I look forward to seeing what you do with it, I'll let you know my findings.

all i can say is AMAZING
and also FOOTBALL scores as my live wallpaper FTW
come on you POOL!
Very nice. Works pretty well.
It would be real nice if you could get the picture to use the whole screen. Not sure if you are constrained by the site of course but I want to use this on my Archos 101 and it has a 1024X600 resolution so I get a lot of black bars.
Thank you for making this available.
Good idea.
How is on battery life though?
Very interested to see where this goes. Great idea IMHO. Subscribed.
Nice work.
Nice work. While trying this out, I ran across an issue. I accidentally the refresh time. If you enter nothing for the refresh time, it will force close (v0.91.2).
Great idea
Think of busy parents whose kids are in a daycare with kiddie cameras...live feed of your baby !
Awesome app. Ive bben wanting something like this for a while. Maybe could add some battery saving settings. thank you !!!!!!!

[APP][4.0+][2016/10/05 2.90]Photo Frame&Grid Widget

** Formerly known as Photo Grid/Frame Widget. Due to complaint of infringement for the trademark "PHOTOGRID", I had to rename it to Photo Frame&Grid Widget. Hopefully, it doesn't infringe any other trademarks. **
Besides, please uninstall any versions older than 2.83 before installing the new version (2.83) because a new package name is assigned and your Android device will treat it as a separate app.
This is my first Android app. Basically I want to replicate the grid-style photo widget from HTC so it can be used by other phones or in AOSP ROM.
I developed the widget and tested it on my HTC Incredible S. If you're interested, please install it in other phones of different brand and screen size. If you encounter any issues, please feel free to report here or give me a PM. Or if you have any request for new features, I'll also consider in future versions.
Features:
Resizable & scrollable grid view / photo frame mode / stack mode
Support lockscreen widget in JellyBean (Android 4.2 and up)
Configurable slideshow interval for frame mode
Supports JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP, MPO, JPS for image files
Support 3GP, MP4, TS, WEBM, MKV for video files (http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html)
Configurable file types & filename filter
Selectable photo album from internal/external storage
Individual file selection
Can choose a specific installed app to launch for full screen image view or video playback
Image file details in preview mode (Filename, image dimension, file size and video duration)
Tween animation in frame mode (fade / slide) ** even better slide effect if navigation arrows are hidden **
Support different settings in multiple widget instances
Two different image styles - Scale whole image / Crop to fit
User define image border width and color
Thumbnail size options
Display order options
Limit the maximum no of photo files to show. Default is 50.
App to change widget settings on the fly
Tasker integration
Requires ICS (Android 4.0) or above
Permissions
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - store thumbnails for grid view to improve performance
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - read thumbnails for grid view
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - restart services for auto refresh and register alarm manager for slideshow
WAKE_LOCK - keep phone awake during background thumbnail generation
VIBRATE - vibrate when thumbnail is selected
Outstanding issues:
Due to a bug in Android 4.2.1 SDK, if you remove the widget in lockscreen, you need to remove its settings in the app as well manually. Fixed in 4.2.2 SDK.

Very nice widget,it works great on my Galaxy S with JB 4.1.1
The only problem(which not depends on your widget) is that external storage on CM10 where I have most of my pictures is located in a folder that I can't select with this widget
If you(in a next release) can allow users to do a manual selection of the folder my "problem" will be solved xD
However,it's really a beautiful photo widget man,thanks

Do you mean Galaxy S has multiple external storage? Can you give me the complete paths of these storage. (e.g. /mnt/sdcard/) I'll see what I can do.
I tried your widget, but unfortunately i can't get it to work on my phone (Galaxy Nexus). I can install it, and get to the settings screen.
After pressing back the Thumbnail-Generation starts and during that, the app just closes. With some folders it closes right away, with others it closes later on. But it always stops at the same time if i select the same folder. I.e. when i choose folder A it will always close at 15/30 Images. If i select Folder B it always closes at 1/34. So i guess it might be an issue with certain pictures.
Update:
I finally found one folder with 6 pictures that does work and would like to suggest two additional settings:I would like to be able to change the spacing between the pictures (in fact i would like to be able to remove the spacing). Which would give the widget the same look as the one from HTC and i would like to be able to access the settings of the widget so i don't have to remove and add it back to change the settings.
Thank you for your work!

Thanks for testing my widget!
Can you give me a logcat so I can locate the source of the issue? I believe the widget is unable to generate a thumbnail for some of your images. It might be a program bug or a corrupted image. You can create a logcat using aLogcat app or adb command as below (let me know if you need more instructions):
Code:
adb logcat > logcat.txt
I'll add the spacing issue to my todo list. But currently I cannot think of a solution since unlike HTC widget, my widget is resizable and target for different devices so these spacing is added automatically to fill up the entire area of the widget as well as to handle devices of different screen density and launchers (they actually display widgets differently!).
Also, I'll see if I can add the setting button in this version.

Galaxy S with stock rom has these paths:
mnt/sdcard (internal storage)
mnt/sdcard/external sd (ext-sd card)
With AOSP roms(CM7-CM9-CM10-AOKP-MIUI) these paths change in:
mnt/sdcard
mnt/emmc (ext-sd card)
As you can see,I can't access external sd card from mnt/sdcard with a NON-samsung rom..this is why I can't use pictures on ext- sd
I hope is clear!

I never used alogcat but i gave it a try, either i'm doing it wrong or there is nothing happening that gets logged. I started aLogCat, cleared everything that was in it, and pressed the Play-button. I then forced the widget to "crash" and went back into aLogCat, and there is nothing new in there. Do I have to change any settings?

Can you check in the preference, the value for Level is Verbose? If running correctly, you should see new entries coming in constantly even if you do nothing.

I guess I found some generic ways to get all external storage locations for different devices. I'll try to implement it in next version.

If the widget open, you see the picture. Maybe you can improve a button to switch to next picture - forward - backword. Thanks, is a very usefull widget.

Actually I thought about this too. Added to the todo list already.
Another idea. I resize the widget not to fill the full screen on launcher, but when I clicked the picture, it is so small, as the resized widget. Maybe, you can do this making bigger.

Phone Arena Short Review
thanks in particular @CedArctic for his awesome review
Please consider this is a Beta and my first app, bugs could occurs
Suggestions and bugs report are very very welcome !
Enjoy !
Screenshot Attached:
more screenshots in play store link (screens are a bit outdated, in current application you can find more material design )
Positives: Really nice app for the first beta, I like the option to customise the Action Bar colour (and yes it's called action bar not title bar) and it's very fast and smooth, and it has a few nice features.
Negatives: At the moment is very unstable and crashes a lot as you leave the app, the app isn't translated to English properly (few phrases missing) and on an HDPI device colours for the action bar are cut off on the right side (I've attached a screenshot), maybe you can make it scrollable.
Keep up the good work! :good:
Would be cool if you make your strings public so that the community can translate your app to other languages. Another thing is that I'm using Viper4Android equalizer and your app just creates a toast which says that I should restart my phone whenever I try to open equalizer settings.
NICE!
Great idea..
i like the UI
feature request
-swipe to change tracks.
-english translation
-ability too search all.. you wont need to go to the artist section to search for artist.. like that..
bugs
-there are some songs/artist/albums that is not appearing when searched.
-some tracks doesnt appear on the artist/abum
-it crashes too
overall good app
keep it up
sorry for my english not my first language
Thanks to all of you for trying my app, your feedback and report are really helpfull
At this stage it's clear it is too soon for a public release, but i would really appreciate if someone wants to help me testing the app so i can discover and fix bugs as soon as possible (when the app crash i receive logcat on my mail).

Thanks for feedback!!
I'm noticing that the equalizer behaves in a strange way, this is caused by a lot of different equalizer (stock, viper4android, CyanogenMod, xposed framework, ...), implemented in custom ROMs, I'm trying to solve this problem (some bugs were fixed in 1.0. 7, try it)
hope we can browse songs by folder.
nice man! downloading now.
Sugestions if you want to make this the N°1 Android Player
- YouTube search and play video
Including playlist support
screen off/other aplication playback ( I Use "Freddi yt player" for this)
Pin videos (or audio download) for offline use
- Buit in Album art downloader and mp3 tag editor (I use mp3dit for this)
- Lyrics grabber (I used to use "lyrics" for this (stopped working))
Just play a music and with one click see the lyric
Sync All option for offline use
Button on the app and also on notifications for lyrics.
So,here we have 3 difference apps that could be just one,(also some new features for them) plus the stock music player
And would be "revolutionary" for non advanced users
Congrats for theming, also good musical taste

I downloaded your app today. It is very nice, with a cool interface. I liked it very much and will start to use it to see if I can spot some bugs.
I have a request. My phone is a Samsung with stock rom. I would like the app to have a lockscreen widget to control music, such as the one seen in one of your screenies. It is possible?
EDIT: by some random reason, the widget appeared.
The app keeps appearing in notification bar, even when it's inactive and don't playing music. Is there a way to get rid of this?
One sugestion:
Make a tab to see the music by the folders. The rocket player have this feature and it's only because of this that i use it. Seriously dude, add a tab of folders where we can see our music by folders and i will start using your app.
Songs are displayed alphabetically instead of by their track order. That's a major negative for me.
Feature request - smart shuffle = all songs until entire catalog is played, not the "random" shuffle nearly all players have, that cycles through the same songs over and over. The only player I've found that approaches this is just playlists. The shuffle Gods have long ago given up on us..
Sent from my LG-V510 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Looks promising, will definitely check it out. A couple of ideas or suggestions:
Does the player currently (or will it in the future) have the option to pull music from folders on cloud storage instead of on the device itself? It would free up a ton of storage space on our phones, for those that don't have much room for our massive playlists.
Also, is the album art downloaded and kept "post-song" in a file of some sort? If so, can the ability to enable or disable the album art download be added once the album art function is added in to the player? Again, just thinking of saving limited space 8)
EDIT: Also a big fan of suggestions of others! Swyping to skip forward or backward would be real nice feature, as well as the option of adding the lyrics to the app main page. An option for dark (Holo dark?) would be a nice touch as well.
great simple interface
Loved simple interface. And loved the feat "hide small audio files "... notification sounds wont play . Great idea
One suggestion after using player for 10 mins.
Can we add indivisual songs to the queu rather than the whole list of songs is played when a song is selected from the "songs" tab. In my view user wouldnt want to play all songs at any given time, rather music depends on time or affect and .. so many artist or album have songs we want to listen to a particular time.
Great for a Beta!
Suggestion: Add tab to browse music through folders and continuous gap-less playback would be great.
Cheers
Man you've already made me regeert buying another music player on Google past just a week ago! The interface is great, it has play next which a lot of apps don't have, you have a 3x 3 album grid which I find way better than both a 2 picture wide grid and a list. Also, you seem to be the only one that understands that text may be larger /longer than you screen permits, and you make the text scroll which I've asked developers of every music app I've tried to implement and the way the queue slides out is quite nice. Maybe a mini tutorial on the slide out menu would make it a bit more obvious that you can do that for less experienced users. I like how solid Explorer does that: just one picture with an arrow showing where you can slide.
I've got 1 small request though:
a dark theme, I use an amoled screen so that would save energy for me
Keep up the amazing work!
