I'm gonna guess: Science lab accident? I've set the science room on fire a few times myself, so I know it's not that difficult.

Sorry to say but this problems is not solved. I have just ”test” this crap of software and destroyed the speaker. The owner (Mike Reid) of this sw not even alert me about the known problem with burning the speakers in the past. I did not know them only AFTER it happened to me. May 29 was a black day for me. The main problem was that this guy not even try to compensate me even it was 100% his fault. He did not warn me about the problem. I found later (to late) about this problem it happend to others also. I have ordered the speaker from Ebay (it was 3,5 usd and the transport was free of charge) so he could easily ”clean” his fault.
So guys, take care about the risks with this sw.

That's weird. I've been using it an hour a day for the past month with no issues. Mike did report in his thread that the issue was fixed long ago.

It's not meant for Samsung ROMS. Samsung fm app is their own and cannot be used in custom ROMS.

I did. Well, I emailed it to him. He said it was probably the kernel. Not much I can do. I got a refund. I'll keep trying the free one after updates just to see. Oh well.

Happy for you that you have no damage. Sorry to say but a physically damaged (as was mine) is not repaired by reinstalling the kernel or even the whole rom. Anyway I will try no more on any other phone and advice all my friends for that, because of the risky you can have. More than that, even if there will be no risky in the future for this software, the guy who made it worth no cent because of his behavior. Such persons who don't care about what happened to others (and I repet, it was 100% his fault because he didn't warn me) worth only loathing from me.
Still using it fine here...

Once again. I am not telling you all not to use it. I was told my experience just to warn you that you could have this situation. As I told before, if Mike warn me about this possibility I, and not him, should be blamed for my try. But more he has a strange behavior after I acuse him that he is quilty for that. My background teaching stops me not to show our correspondence to a public view to see the real man behind this software. Piece of crap. For me, a human been is more important than a couple of bucks spend to repair something...

Not right for you to call another human being a piece of crap though. Mike does a lot of hard work and I don't think its fair for you to throw him under the bus like that. Be the bigger man over a $3.50 speaker..... You've been bitter for EXACTLY 6 months to the day in this thread. Get over it
Hey guys, I just got my Nexus 5 today and ive noticed when in a quiet room, if im texting, or anything else that makes the phones vibrate via key press, it makes like a whistle kind of sound from the vibrates motor. It seems kind of weird. Anyone else notice this or could it be a flaw with my phone? I know theres other threads about the faulty vibration phones being shipped out but haven't read anything about this noise I hear.

If I did Id say thats some skills to be able to fart every time I hit a letter on the keyboard when texting. If that was the case I think id need to get myself checked out, not the phone :silly:

I have the same problem. I assumed this was the "vibration defect" I've seen people talk about.
I haven't felt like getting a replacement and honestly I kind of prefer my keyboard without vibration now that I've been using it like that...

Ok at least im not alone :highfive: It doesnt bother me much, I just wasn't sure if it was normal or not. All the other threads I read about the defects with vibration didn't match up. I'm not going to worry about it just yet :silly:
Hello. On my phone had a problem with the backlight - is not exposed to maximum brightness + blinking. The problem is clearly not a program, because I pierced the phone numerous times. I took it to a service center. After a long diagnosis, they say: The problem is that you have installed the unofficial software.
Yes, install, but before hand it in for repair, I beg stock image of (5.1), blocked the boot and threw flag burglary.
I told him that know about it they can not, because everything is done correctly. However, he said that all of the programmer will be displayed.
If he's lying? Is it possible to find out that I pierced the machine?
Sorry, I seem wrong section . Transfer the theme , please, if this is the case .
first off, questions go into the q&a section, not the original development section. secondly, im still trying to figure out what you are asking. what did you pierce your phone with? pierce meanimg that you stuck something into your phone and made a hole in it.

I in every possible way stitched the phone custom insertions. But before carrying it I returned an official insertion to the service center, blocked the loader, cleaned a breaking flag. According to this instruction: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=514104&st=40#entry28295175
I don't think that it is a program problem. There was it suddenly, and after many reinsertions didn't improve. I wasn't engaged in dispersal of the processor.

are you asking why the service center can tell that you had the phone rooted at one point?

Yes, but in the instruction just was how to dump it. The flag shows false value. I.e. everything is normal.

Yes, it is the official service center LG. They can't understand in what a problem. They speak, because of that that you established the informal software, and we can refuse under repair. I told that you can't check it, I returned everything to initial situation.
ahhh, lg. that makes sense now. they do have that right to refuse service if the bootloader is unlocked unfortunately. if you changed the tamper flag, im curious how they knew then.

Hello, this is my first post on XDA I recently bought a OPO from a friend fairly cheap, he just changed the digitalizer on it as he cracked the screen. The only problem was that the loud speaker stopped working when he replaced it. Everything else on the phone is working fine. I've opened up the phone to look at the ''motherboard'' which the speakers connect to, can't see any issues (would post a picture on the parts i mean, but since i haven't made 10 posts i can't have links in my posts). Now, can it be this part acting up? As i read somewhere that this part also controlls the vibration, and the 3 buttons in the bottom of the phone. But those work just fine. Or could it be the actual speakers? But i couldn't think that he could possibly manage to break the speakers somehow... Any suggestions? Also, english isn't my main language so excuse me if there are any errors in my text
