Does anyone have a successful way of unlocking the Skyrocket. I just got one from my friend because he now has a new phone so he gave me his old one. I want to unlock it.

Read through the stickies at the tops of the Skyrocket sub forums.
There are several websites that promise you the unlock code for your IMEI after paying them, it works for some people and doesn't for the others..Google search for those websites..
Another option is to try the free unlock method found here in the general forum..
In my opinion,I would pay a few dollars on top of a ten to get an official unlock code..

Does somebody know a way to unlock it, or a website where I should go ?
I know some website where it is possible to unlock Alcatel, ZTE... phones for free, but nothing for Samsung.

Apparently different because the names differ, but are probably the same service (because the web interface is always about the same), and at various (but always high) prices... (prounlocking, mobileunlocksolutions, theunlockarena...)

I have read a lot of his posts, malayalapenkutti justs spams for:
- unlocking (expensive) paying sites
- a crappy Internet speed test site ip-details.com
He's replying to very old posts, sometimes more than one year... this guy really needs to be banned, just like gayraja was in this thread.

I purchased a Virgin Mobile Canada/Bell Mobility HTC Sensation for my girlfriend yesterday to put on her Rogers account but I'm having a hell of a time getting an unlock code for it. I tried cellunlock.net but they said it'll be upwards of 3 days for an unlock code because the IMEI I gave them isn't on file for them. I've taken a look at a few other websites and they either look shady or they only take credit card or they are shady and charge way too much. I have no experience outside of cellunlock.net but I need this code sooner than later.
Is there another reputable unlock site with Sensation unlock codes that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and takes PayPal direct debit? Also preferably one that is fast? Sorry for making an entire thread dedicated to this but I couldn't find an answer. I'm half tempted to resort to eBay unlockers at this point

Title says it. I want to buy one of these phones, but I'm not gonna if I cant unlock the carrier (be able to insert SIM cards of other carriers). A friend used a program called blade unlock for the ZTE Blade, which gets the IMEI and gives you an unlock code (NCK, i believe it's called), and I found sites online with calculators where you input your IMEI and it gives you an NCK code to input when you turn on your phone. All those utilities were free.
Can I do so with a Galaxy W? I find only online sites which charge for it.

Thing is: if I buy the phone it's gonna be from another carrier, which I cannot use. I don't want to be stuck with an unusable 135€ phone... :X
I'm not gonna buy it until I found a free way to unlock it. If anyone knew if the Galaxy S unlocker works in Galaxy W, I'd be more grateful than *insert lame comparison here*. No, seriously, I'd owe you a beer.

I'm looking for the same thing since 2 days, I found only paid site !
Some memebre juste redirect me to the root but my phone already rooted.
There is no unlock apps in Play as the for the S & SII
I saw in Vodafon forum that the galaxy W is hard locked and that's is seems that only the carrier can unlocked it!
If someone sucess to unlocked I be happy to know how?

Hello people i'm a newbie to this forum and i'm a newbie to unlocking phones. I don't care about Rooting my phone as i don't think i have the skills to do it. However i just want to unlock a Pantech Discover from AT & T so it will work on T-Mobile can anybody give me the unlock code so i can unlock the Discover so it will work with T-Mobile. If you bought your phone from AT&T, you should be able to get an unlock code for free from them (if you meet a few requirements). If you dont already have a carrier, then there are many sites you can visit to buy an unlock code (seen one for $8.99 http://cellphoneunlock.net/products/unlock-pantech-discover/) another is http://www.worldgsmcodes.com/pantech/Pantech-Discover-network-unlock/.
Each unlock code is unique to each phone based on it's imei # so you wont be able to use someone elses unlock code. You can get your imei # by dialing *#06# and it will give you a 15 digit imei #. If your unable to use your dialpad, you need pull your battery cover, pull the battery out and the imei # is list under the battery. Just goto to one those sites and follow their instructions.
Unlocked - WORKING
I've been noticing a few too many people having a hard time with some of the site someone mentioned. I've had to use one of them myself a few weeks ago for a ZTE Merit from TracFone. Luckily, I was given a working code and move about my way. This phone however, due to limited support has been an obstacle to root and unlock. I am proud to say that I FINALLY have both.
Maybe I could help you guys out. I unlocked mine and have it working 100% with Simple Mobile and T-mobile.
All I need is the phones IMEI. I spent hours last night trying using different methods and came really close to paying only to find out the Discover wasn't supported for some reason or another. A buddy came up with a minor tweak in the way the IMEI was loading into the unlocking software to get it working.

Oh so the Pantech is also hard to unlock it? I like the Pantech Discover and the Sony Xperia TL and don't know whi ch to choose. The sony has a support board on this forum. Which should I choose?

Some people have had issues with that. I can help you unlock yours if you end up choosing it. There are no ROMS out for the Discovery that I know of since there isn't a working recovery for it either. I haven't read up on the Sony yet though. I'll take a look at the specs and give you my thoughts.

I want to learn some basic stuff and have a ton of questions. I posted a few but the 1 person that Dm'ed me when I tryed to ask more questions yelled at me for having tone when even though I was very nice because I am greatful that he took the time.

What th woman who gave it to me and I both do not know is if the phone is carries locked and how to gey it unlocked.
I have googled and it seems there are a lot of unlock code generators that charge a fee.
Can anyone tell me first is there a free one second if not one that is not some kind of a scam.

Have the last owner sign in on the phone and delete their Google and Samsung accounts on it.
You can then do a factory reset and configure it as you please.
That's the easy way... any other way will be much harder.

It was a ATT carrier and I want to use it on a differant carrier so I need to unlock the carrier.
So I am looking for a way to unlock the carrie.
So what I am looking for is a
Unlock Code Generator.
Is there one that is used and not a scam?

The easiest way is to have AT&T unlock it.
If there's no outstanding balance on the account they should. Usually the account holder does this, not sure how this will work in your case.
AT&T can still/could have blacklist(ed) the phone's imei even if you use a 3rd party unlocker.
Probably best to work it out with AT&T. They are very intolerant of delinquent accounts though. If a balance was owed by the previous owner they will probably want it paid to unlock it. They just want their money. If no money is owed you should be alright.
As much as I know... I may be mistaken. Never had to play with this.
