I'm currently busy with making my first rom!:victory:
but i'm afraid that i will brick my phone with testing it.
and i ask you a favor to help me with
-How to edit build.prop(can i put some lines in it)
-Replace framework(do i need to delete the inside then add mine)
-How to edit updater-script.
-what to do with the lib and bin(do i need to delete some files)
you can answer these questions or just pm me
it's going to be a XPERIA Z themed rom

Is there any who could explain how to "install" the modified framework files aka the framework-res.apk file ?
I have seen some really good looking mods, but this nab cannot find the way to use them

Now I have rooted my X10 can I activate the default smileys?
I never even knew about them as I just assumed the smileys were the same as on any phone I have owned but I saw on other Android phones and a post from someone on another forum that the X10 has boring smileys.
So please someone make my day and say there is a patch/hack to get my smiling like an Android

its possible now
you need to edit framework-res.apk
need to replace emo_im_xxxxx.png with your own set.

need to root your phone to do modifications like that. get your self educated before do anything. otherwise you will end-up with bricked phone.

Nop, Then you need to use 3rd party apps like HTC keyboard or handcent sms for messaging. but still what ever smiley you add only display on your phone.
Example
if you have android smiley face on you phone, only : ) will go as a message to the sender.

my xperia u is currently running the SXU Terra Rom ICS [[[V6]]] from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2141726
but the transparency feature make my device not usable like in email, etc.
i also read on the forum it can be remove by replacing framework-res.apk by framework-res.apk of stock .89
but i have no framework-res.apk file of stuck .89 where can i find it??

i like terraRom, it so smooth, but i didn't try other rom,
any rom that is smooth and battery friendly?

Hi every one , I'm glad to join you with XDA forum.
so my question is I need to have some info about twframework-res.apk, framework-res.apk, systemUI.apk what dose those apks for ? what they do to any device? are those apks responsible about the device language if i need to add one?
and if want to add language to any device what the files i should edit to make that happen?
I'm a greedy person I have so many questions to you but i will start with this for now .
