[Q] Hack Samsung Service Center Servers? - General Questions and Answers

The phone that I have is called the Samsung Galaxy Ace II X. It isn't anything like the Ace II (Ace II has gingerbread while Ace II X has ICS. Ace II has dualcore 800 MHz while we have singlecore 1 GHz). Other owners of my phone type have found that it is most similiar to the Galaxy S Duos - the only difference being the Duos' dual sim. The problem is that no matter how much us owners of this phone email Samsung and service providers, they won't release the stock firmware (in an Odin flashable). There isn't much development going on because there is no safehouse - if one of us becomes bricked, we're sort of stuck. Releasing the firmware would bring a spawn in the amount of development going on. In a post found here, Alucai Vivorvel suggested that someone hack onto Samsung's servers and pull the firmware (it would be in an Odin .tar). I'm seriously considering this, and I was wondering what steps would have to be done in order to attain a firmware dump. Samsung has emailed me back previously and said that they do hold the files at the Samsung Service Center, and only they could flash it for us (they don't want to release the files). Could anyone here be of help?

No one here will help in this as it breaks the rule about getting us in trouble

Nope
Don't hack into somebody else's stuff, no matter what.

Then how can I retrieve the firmware dump I need? Samsung has released firmware for the dual-sim counterpart of the Ace II X but not the Ace II X itself. How does Sammobile retrieve firmware dumps?

If samsung will not release it then your out of luck. Try the thread link below

s2 rooting
Hi all, Im totally newbie to this so I start reading a root guide here in order to do it on my phone. After reading I been able to find the firmware I should use but when go to my phone and look at the specs I find that some differ from the ones posted
My config is (by pressing *#1234#):
PDA: I9100XWKF3
PHONE: I9100XXFK1
CSC: I9100OJVKF1
I would like to now if I use the files (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278) under the XWKF3 section it will work for me ?
I want that my phone had Spanish and English language (as now) and want to make sure it will, also would like to know if with the "FOP" file and the "XWKF3 Stock Kernel" it is enough in order to root it ?
Sorry for the long question and please if someone knows or have a similar config and was able to root the device let me know.
Thx in advance.
Wouldn't both these posts be better served in the Samsung galaxy SII forum??

Samsung Galaxy Gio(GT-S5660L/M/V)

How can I determine the model of my Galaxy Gio? Is it L, M or V?
I know that for rooting and flashing, you need to choose the correct files based on your model.
I purchased a Galaxy Gio from Kijiji Toronto and the seller told me he got it from Bell Mobility store so I assume it is M model but wanna make sure.
Any idea?

[Completed] [Q] cant understand what version i have and how to update to kitkat

hello i bought galaxy s4 via aliexpress i been told its i9500 but when i tried to update via kies or FOTA it saying that its the last firmware
can you tell me by this info how can i upgrade it to kitkat? and if not how to install custom roms?
It seems like someone did a Frankenstine Operation on the Phone.
Based on the Firmware on there, it appears like this is an International Galaxy S4. If so, please post in [HELP THREAD] Galaxy S4 | Ask any question | Noob friendly. so that we are sure that is the device.
Based on your other Screenshot, your Bootloader is that of AT&T Canada Bell Galaxy S4 North American Version. If so, please post in Stupid Questions Thread - No question too stupid!
It is very crucial to not flash the wrong firmware as that would certainly Brick your Phone for good.
Once correct variant is confirmed, you might be able to get the correct Stock Firmware for your device.
If I really REALLY have to guess, since Product and Device code can be manipulated in the Rom, I'd trust the Bootloader, more to identify what it really is. And in your case that points to AT&T S4.

Hmm ... I found a rooting thread ([Tutorial] Rooting the Sprint GalaxyS3 the Easy Way), but it is closed as it seems that this method no longer works.
There a user ("Thecrazyone1") of the same device reported taht he could successfully root. Maybe you can ask (PM) him, how he got it rooted.
Here is the general rooting link for the Sprint S3: How to root the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III ... which seems to be very similar to your device.
You can also check the Sprint Galaxy S3 FAQ updated 5/27/2013, there is a linbk to a video guide for rooting.
Here is a thread about your device: S3 straight talk verison rooting/general questions..
And here is another one: [Q] How To Root the Straight Talk SCH-S968C Samsung Galaxy S III.
Maybe you can get better answers there.
Good luck !
Thread closed and thank you.
Happy new year !

[Completed] my galaxy s4 is rooted but also not rooted

2 years ago I buy my galaxy s4 unlocked version from amazon.com. When I came back to Turkey I registered the Cellphones imei. After that I rooted my galaxy s4. I watch lots of tutorials and most of it did not work out. At the last try I was able to root my device. After a year my uncle bought me a gear 2 neo which needed a higher version of android. So i plug my galaxy s4 and updated trough kiosk. The result was my galaxy s4 was mys galaxy s4 lost its root acsess was gone and system was updated. Also most of the apps first run and then give a error. For example i downloaded can knockdown 3. First it worked fine then it stopped working. One of my friend suggested I need to downlad a rom and suggested cyanogenmod. I tried one button installer but it said the device is not supperted for this installer. But my phone is listed in the supported devices(GTI9500). Please help me. My cellphone is slowly dying. Also last thing. They say making a change on the phone sometimes deletes the imei registiration.
Thank you for using XDA assist. Any time you update you're firmware you'll lose root. So that's normal. To root it again see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292615&page=50 If you still have problems you can ask here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192886 And aslo see this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4
