[Q] USB PC Analog Gamepad Controller through OTG Cable - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
I bought an OTG cable for my galaxy s 3 and everything works fine(mouse, keyboard, usb sticks). I am running stock 4.1.2. I have an analog gamepad for pc and I would like to use it in order to play games. When I am on touchwiz I can select objects with arrows and analog and open any app by pressing any button. But after opening a game the controller doesnt work. I have seen sixaxis and I found the key mapping really useful(it's like xpadder's) but It works only with ps3 bluetooth controllers. Is there any way to map my controller buttons?
Any help really appreciated!!!!

mame4droid + PS3 controllers

I'm very pleased that after JB update we can connect PS3 controllers via Bluetooth (without any additional apps) to TF700. It was no problem to connect 2 controllers at once... both work like a charm... it strange that light indicators on controllers indicate that both controllers are on the same "channel" (1st from 4)
...anyway.. it's a different story when you want to assign two controllers in mame4droid emulator. Everything works perfectly with one cntrl ...just need to define keys for player 1 and voila.... you can play SF3 without braking your fingers on touchpad...
I thought that it would be nice to try any fighting game for two players... unfortunately when I tried to define keys for player two (for 2nd cntrl), I saw that mapping of keys for 1 st player one was gone... it seems that mame4droid understands that these two PS3 controllers (which are both connected via bluetooth) are one and the same controller
Also tried connecting second controller with USB cable.... ...no success.
By the way no problems of using dock keyboard for second player...but this not the way out...
Anyone has any clues how to assign second controller in mame4droid?
hey buddy
i was wondering how do u set up your controller in mame4droid? i;m having a little trouble.

USB OTG and Logitech F310

I received my OTG cable in the mail today and wanted to start gaming the right way with my Logitech F310 gamepad but my phone didn't recognize it at all. I tested the controller with Dead Trigger but I got no response. The green "Mode" button comes on when pressed but that's it. I thought that my gamepad would work just fine with my OTG cable because my computer recognizes it as an Xbox 360 controller. Has anybody gotten one of these to work with their S4? Thanks in advance!

Firstly, not all games support gamepads, secondly if you have the 360 controller, i hear theyre better supported c:
and lastly, you can try getting an app that manages the controller and interfaces it with the app, maps it to the touch controls of its not supported for example, theres a few out there, havent tried any myself because i only have a ps3 controller and couldnt get it working with sixaxis :c

For anyone wondering, I was able to find a solution! I bought the USB/BT JoyCenter app and it recognized my F310 in XInput mode (the switch on the bottom). Using the app, I was able to map the buttons.
On a side note, my aftermarket Power A Playstation 3 controller works automatically with some games without any extra software.

Hey,
My experience has been very flakey with the f310 but I can confirm that it does work. In some games such as asphalt 8 you don't need the joycenter app. Just mess around with it.

[Q] Esperanza gamepad and wireless X360 gamepad

Hello
I recently bought a USB OTG cable Y to my tablet Asus MemoPad HD 7. I wanted to play Max Payne, but on Esperanza gamepad (looks like this on the PS2) camera constantly rotating. On the android home this gamepad works very well. I suppose that this is a problem with the mapping of keys. I would like to know how to make the game began to work well.
With the Xbox 360 gamepad I have this problem that Android in general does not detect it. Or on the Home screen or in the game does not work. I plug the X360 wireless receiver - it lights, it pair with the controller and do nothing. I have copied keylaouts for wired and wireless controller. Everything like in this youtube video: /watch?v=9czISrLGXNI - with the difference that I first had to upload a file from the wireless pad.
I would add that the USB / BT Joystick Center 2015 does not detect Esperanza and X360 gamepad. USB Device Info detect them without a problem.
The PS3 gamepad works without a problem.
Sorry for my English. 90% of this was translated by Google translator.
Anyone can help?

Xbox 360 controller ?

Is there any way to make the 360 controller work on the S6? It's not a wireless controller.
I'll even root. Is there any way to make the 360 wired controller work? (tried it with my otg but it dosen't work. Strange thing that it worked on any other phone in my house..)
Anyone?
It should work out of the box. Are you on stock f/w?

Yep. It's not working..
strange. my ps2 controler with ps2 to usb and than over the otg cable works fine.
it could be that the s6 doesn't deliver enough power for the xbox controller.

Nope,it delivers the power but the controller wont find the phone. I don't know why. Everyone on the internet has the same problem..
Solved on s6 active!
After about a week of trying, I have wireless 360 controllers working on my s6 active. I'm using a Microsoft 360 controller receiver and an otg cable. I had to find a legit USB BT Joy Center apk (not the gold version, it kept disconnecting my controller) and then I found an app called Lucky patcher that let me remove the license verification on the app, since it has been abandoned by the developer. No root required! It allows you to keymap, so I can use multiple 360 controllers for emulators (Mario kart tested), and I even used it to play games streaming from my computer with Moonlight. I have the fixed apk file upon request, or you can diy with the instructions above.
Out of the box galaxy s6 doesn't work with with x360 controller. It doesn't event work with regular usb controller that other phones work. You have to remap buttons but it's pointless because phone doesn't recognize analog triggers and joysticks.

USB Joycenter has a feature that works with the MegaN64 and Mupen64 Emulators that allows for analog input. I'm uploading a video tutorial right now, it'll be up in an hour or so. https://youtu.be/I9fvLZMd9bE

Playstation 3 / dualshock 3 controller support (doesn't appear to work)

Hi,
Has anybody successfully used a PS3 sixaxis / dualshock 3 controller with their S10e or S10? I'm attempting to use it with a USB OTG adaptor for Steam Link, but it seems that only the shoulder triggers and left thumb stick work properly, with the other buttons not working or being detected.
Wondering if this is a particular problem with the S10s as the DS3 controllers seem to work just fine with other android phones.
Thanks!
